I bought a brand new home. I hired this awful, overpriced, and unprofessional company to do the following electrical work for me: (1) to hide the wiring on 6 flat screen TV’s, (2) to hang a porch chandelier light, and (3) to install 2 lights and complete the wiring for 2 outside lights on each side of my garage. The initial price given for this work was more than I was actually charged. There were several trips back and forth to complete the work. They even had the nerve to send me to the store to buy a part they needed to finish some of the work. Later they actually had the nerve to say it was the wrong part. The entire process was stressful and nerve racking. The gentlemen sent to perform the work did not speak or understand English well, so we had a hard time communicating. They as well as myself were frustrated and had to call the main office several times. The timer that they set (twice) for my outside lighting still does not work. I have more electrical work to be done in my home, but I will NOT be using this company to complete the work. I think the 4 and 5-​star ratings given to this company are untrue and made up. There is no way this company is that reputable. Being an educated and business woman myself, I feel these ratings are probably false. They even left paint work for me and my husband complete. The 1 star rating is only because they finally almost completed the work only! THIS IS THE VERY FIRST TIME I HAVE HIRED A COMPANY RATED ON Unilocal THAT DID NOT WORK OUT WELL FOR ME. I WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

I am writing this ADDENDUM to my above review because one of the employees or possible owners of this business asked me to take my comments down because it was hurting his business. This was not my intension at all. I honestly gave his appeal a lot of consideration and decided not to delete my review. Why? Because, I did not lie about my experiences with this company. I was shocked that he would even contact me and ask me to take it down. It is my right to let others know about my experience. Isn’t this what « Unilocal» is all about? And, as far as I can remember the 1^st Amendment affords its citizens «FREEDOM OF SPEECH.» But, in an effort to comfort anyone who is considering hiring this company let me say something good about the business. THE QUALITY OF THE WORK IN WHICH THE COMPANY DID WAS «GOOD.» However, my experience with the company’s work ethics were disastrous. By the way, after they read my review they came out and fixed the timer for my outside lights. Sorry, but this is as good as it gets. Please do not call me anymore.

This review is a follow-​up to one that I wrote about AAG a few years ago… It’s been about 3 years now since we hired Mike and the AAG crew to do a lot of work on the Highland Park house my wife and I bought, and as of 2016 everything is still perfect. We’re 100% happy with our place, and there’s never been any problems with any of it. The house was built in 1925 and back in 2012 when we bought it, it really needed just about everything you can imagine to get it livable. I talked with contractors who gave me their depressing work outlines and quotes, along with all the heavy sighs and head-​shaking let-​downs that made us wonder if we’d done the right thing buying a house that «needed work.» Things were looking grim, but then we talked to Mike, who kept saying, «Yes, we can do that!» and the prices he promised were lower than the other quotes we’d been getting. So low, in fact, that we were actually able to do just about everything we wanted to do with the house before we moved in. Mike’s AAG team and associates did all of this with zero hassle: A complete electrical rewire, patched and painted the entire interior, fixed our sewer, installed new toilets and light fixtures, rebuilt a termite-​eaten garage, put in new flooring through the whole house, upgraded our fireplace, added central heat and air, built our new kitchen from the ground up and even added a window in our living room. And probably a few other things I’m forgetting. The work was done well, on schedule and the price never went above the quote unless Mike discussed it with us in clear terms. If something went out of our budget, he offered suggestions for how we could accomplish what we wanted in a more affordable way. Everyone on the team was easy to deal with in a way that makes folks buying a house feel confident. Nobody wants to hear contractors tell you how you can’t do something… you want to hear them come up with resourceful and affordable ways that you CAN do the things you want to do. Another example of the level of craft with the AAG crew: We had an electrical contractor come to the house before we met the AAG folks and he told us that we’d have to have our new junction box right on the front of our house — he said it was impossible for it to go anywhere else. It had to be right there on the face of our new house right next to our living room window with all the wires running across the front yard. I told Mike about it, and he took a walk around the house, looked up at the power lines and said, «That guy’s crazy.» AAG put our junction box way over on the side of the house where you can barely even see it from the front. Creative, resourceful, easy to work with and a genuine attention to the craft of contracting and building and helping you create the home you want. My wife and I trust these guys to be our contractors from here on out.

I’ve been a customer for years. I’ve used AAG for my house and rental properties. They are highly responsive and responsible. Prices are fair. Now that the cat is out of the bag, I hope they will still be available when i call them!

I called AAG for some outdoor light fixtures and a couple of outdoor fans to install. Comparing to other electrical companies Mic came and expained to me everything on how he thought it would be best to rout the plumbing and electrical wires so it would not only be effective also better looking. After dealing with a couple of other electric companies I could tell on how Mic was knowledgeable and experienced. He and his team showed up on time and got the job done ontime as well exactly what he told me. He not only finished things as he explained but also did not charge me anything extra of what the original price rate. Him and his team were all very nice guys and very professional. Over all his work exceeded my expectations. My advice to other people looking for nice and professional contractor would be to do your reasearch on who can get the job done for the best price but keep in mind that sometime paying a little extra for quality job would take you way further for your buc. AAG has done my job very nicely that exceeds my expectations with a very fare price. Thank you all the AAG guys who were in my backyard and did the installation of the outdoor lights and fans.

FINALLY! HONEST, PROFESSIONAL, PUNCTUAL AND FAIR CONTRACTORS!
Ive been involved in construction and interior design for the past 7 years in New York and California. No mater where you are, most contractors will charge you and arm and a leg for a half ass job. Sorry, its true no matter what you want to believe. So naturally I was weary to hire a new crew. Mike came to do a walk through with me after our first phone call and I hired him because he said «we don’t do no mickey mouse work». That made me laugh and realize he takes pride in his companies work.
So 3 days later Mike and his crew showed up at 9 am on the dot just like they said. I didn’t anticipate them to show up on time so I slept in, big mistake lol because they ended up waiting on me to get out of bed to let them in. They installed a new shower panel (with rain fall water head, body jets, thermostat and some other fancy stuff), hard wired a towel warming rack, wired 3 wall sconces, canceled some old light fixtures, added 3 new outlets, figured out why some other lights from another electrician were flickering (in two rooms) and fixed that and installed a cell phone boosting antenna on my roof in 8 hours. YES totally done in 8 hours! the cost was around $ 2700. I didn’t complain because that was an enormous amount of work. And they did NO damage to my existing walls. I begged them not to damage the walls because the wallpaper on them is discontinued and they did a perfect job. They also cleaned up their mess and you would never know they were here.
Ive been working on my house for over a year straight and I think I finally found my go to guys for absolutely anything electrical and plumbing related. Thanks so much for your professionalism and dedication to your craft! You have restored my faith in contractors and I realize now there are still some honest and talented people out there. Yay!

(‘Would give them a 4.5 rating if it were possible.) They replaced our sewer line by trenching method. They show up on time, are courteous, friendly and as neat as is possible. There were a couple of surprises with our old line but AAG rolled with them pretty well. Their original estimate was a little lower than the others we received but the price went up a little too (about 9%). So, in the end, it evened out. ‘Had to negotiate them down at two points for the additional work (otherwise would have given 5 stars). All in all, the work was well done: our sewer is now plastic and level. We’ll consider using AAG again for future plumbing jobs.

Mike the electrician helped us out with our problem. He was very thorough and helped resolve our issue (loose wire). He was knowledgable on his comments regarding the electrical wiring «state» of our home and gave pointers on what to look out for. The price was very fair and the whole service felt trustworthy. I would use their services again.

Mike came same day I called. He and his partner inspected the problem and gave me an estimate. Since it was after 5pm. They came back the next morning and took care and fix all my outlets in my garage. Friendly and professional service. Will recommend.

My real estate agent recommended AAG for renovations on a house I just purchased. I had a long list of repairs and renovations to be completed, both on the interior and exterior of the house. AAG was one-​stop shopping for everything I needed done. They were very professional and thorough with walking me through my list and providing a quote. The quote was very competitive. As another reviewer mentioned, their team «swarmed my house» and had multiple projects being worked on concurrently. I have to say they accomplished some things that I thought would be impossible such as retrofitting used bathroom fixtures a friend gave to me. As soon as I started working with them, I knew I was in good hands and I put my trust in them. I just gave them the keys to my house and let them come and go as required. I have to mention their craftsmanship on bathrooms is as perfect as it gets. I still can’t believe they rewired my entire house so quickly and made everything seem easy. There isn’t anything they can’t do when it comes to plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting and any renovations. I highly recommend AAG, especially if you need advice and solutions on house repairs or renovation needs. Now that their work is complete, I’m going to miss my regular dealings with them. I have been using AAG Construction over 4 years and have nothing but praise over their quality of work and work ethics. They worked within my budget and timeframe. They gave my rental units new life. They have copper repiped, panel upgraded, done all my electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, re-​patching, and flooring work. His team also give good advise. Hutch is a very friendly and great guy to work with. His team is professional, competent, hard working, respectful, and clean. I use to live in Italy and am use to european craftsmanship since I always also rennovated my home there. They can definitely compare. They have earned my trust and am very, very happy that I have finally found this contractor that I can depend on since before it was always a headache to look for someone to do the job right and not take me for a ride. Hutch is very fair and easy to work with and I give him my highest recommendation. I have many projects still planned and need not look any further. Give them a try, you won“t regret it.

AAG was phenomenal. I received a promotional flyer in the mail that was much more reasonable then the other two plumbers AND electricians that we had out to the house. We met with them on a Thursday and the work for a tankless water heater, new updated electrical panel, and rewiring half the house from nob and tube started on Monday. The team swarmed in tackled all jobs at the same time and were finished in 3 days. The team was professional, courteous, worked well together, and worked well around me and my two small children. I would and will be hiring them again for more work.

Called AAG plumbing and electrical on a saturday at 2:09pm, arrived at my residence about 3:30pm. Looked and analyzed the condos we stay in and gave us the scoop on what was to be repaired. The main shut off valve to the condo had to be replaced because the old one was a gate valve which didn’t fully shut so they replaced that with a simple and easy to use ball valve. Then they analyzed the leaks that was running from the upstairs bathroom going down to the kitchen directly underneath and said it was going to be an easy fix to change the copper piping. The over work took about 2 hours to complete and gave us a quote of $ 825. Hutch was the person who first came to our residence. Very friendly and straight forward. I will be glad to do business with him again. :) Thank you Hutch for doing a great job.

Excellent plumbing and electric service company! Very professional and fast service! I had a problem with both my house electrical and plumbing. These guys offered the best plumbing service prices in the valley. They provided same day service of my blown up water heater, which caused an issue with my electrical wiring. i hired aag to do my condo remodel… and it was by far the most extensive plumbing and electrical work i have ever done on a condo… and i have remodeled alot of condos… i have owned more condos than most people own cars in their lives.
if you want cheap unlicensed people who dont carry insurance and will sue you when one of their undocumented workers falls and breaks his leg, don’t hire this company.
if you want your electricians and plumbers to spend 3 months on a job that should take 3 weeks, don’t hire this company
if you want one guy working on your job when it really needs 7 guys, don’t hire this company.
if you only care about saving money, and not about quality or follow up in case corrections are necessary, don’t hire this company.
but…
if you want a crew bigger than the chinese army to show up to your place and pound your job out in a few days, then you need to hire aag.
if you want a company that will show up in sometimes less than 10 minutes for corrections/​adjustments, then you need to hire aag
if you want a company that will fix mistakes and won’t blame them on your drywall guy then you need to hire aag.
if you want a company that won’t be the cheapest company, but will do a great job, so you don’t have to worry about your house burning down with your kids inside, then you need to hire aag.
if you want a company to carry workers comp, so you don’t lose your house in a lawsuit, then you need to hire aag.
if you are a tightwad, who doesn’t care about safety, liability, code compliance or speed of work, then you should not hire aag.

Reliable and reasonable prices. I had them come for a second job months after the first and appreciated that the same guy was able to come.

I have used AAG Services for both electrical and plumbing work on my home in Pasadena, CA. They are timely, skilled, and completely professional. They are also friendly and trustworthy. They even suggest optional or additional alternatives to doing the work that can result in a better overall solution, or saving money. I recommend them most highly, and will call on them again. I had AAG do an electrical box upgrade on my home. We upgraded to 200 amp service, plus had them run a 50 amp line for a hot tub.
The guys were professional and their rate was competitive. I felt comfortable with their work and they have kept their promises.
