We also perform duct cleaning for both residential and commercial locations. We repair & replace server room units, chiller systems, wall heaters, floor furnaces, gravity heaters, ductless mini split units, forced air units, wine coolers, and much more. We have 24 hr emergency service available. We offer easy financing at 0% interest for new installations or replacements. We work with all brands and models including Amana, American Standard, Bard, Bryant, Carrier, Climate Master, Comfortmaker, Cozy, Day & Night, Fujitsu, Goodman, Guardian, Heil, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Lennox, Liebert, McQuay, Mitsubishi, Payne, Rheem, Ruud, Tempstar, Trane, Weatherking, Williams, York and more.

History

Established in 2004.

After getting a practical engineer degree in cooling and heating systems and working in the air conditioning, heating and commercial refrigeration industry since 1992 we decided to open A/​C Control in 2004. Our mission was and still is to provide Greater Los Angeles residents and businesses with excellent technical and customer service. Due to our academic and practical experience for many years in this industry, we are the best in the field. Since day one we have offered warranty on our work and take pride in how well and how promptly we provide our customers with a solution.

I have been installing and repairing central a/​c and heating systems and commercial refrigerators for over 20 years. I have a degree in practical engineering for cooling and heating systems. We are a family owned business. My personal goal, as well as the company goal, is to provide excellent technical and customer service. I love what I do mainly because it allows me to help people.

Sergio was available the next day! Other places on Angies List were booked out a few days to a week. He is nice and really checked out my system. He spent time explaining things. I replaced my coolant for $ 395, which is more expensive than some other providers. But I felt lucky that A/​C was responsive and will use them again.

Came on a Sunday. Called ahead of time. Figured out it was the AC Motor after I described the symptoms. Part was in stock. Came back Monday to install the motor. Efficient. No games.

Horrible! Stay away from this company. Recently, I had renovated my guest house into 2 rooms, a playroom and small office. I had an existing AC unit there, but after the renovation, the unit wouldn’t work in the office. After AC control came to evaluate/​service the thermostat, they said the «interior flap of the unit is closed, which is inhibiting air flow to the office» and to fix this problem the charge would be $ 195.00. Something seemed off… it didn’t seem to add up. The price was too expensive for an odd yet easy fix issue. I opted to pay the $ 75 service charge and dismissed him without any future work. The following week I called my friend who is a handyman: the result… The real issue with my AC thermostats was… the wires were NOT even connected! There was no «flap issue». The thermostat was not communicating with the AC unit. The AC control tech (I’m sure) was aware of the wires being disconnected. Yet he complained about an issue which didn’t exist just to charge me more money. What a crook!

The guy from AC Control just left and I am very happy. He was professional, knowledge and very respectful and efficient. He swept up his own mess and asked for a magazine to put under the paperwork before he wrote on it so as not to scratch my table. I wish I knew what his name was but I don’t. He was able to get the parts he needed delivered to our home and was in and out in a little over two hours. The company itself was professional in returning our phone calls over the weekend and keeping us up to date with any earlier cancellations.

We did a large expansion in our office last year and AC Control was brought in by the general contractor to add an additional unit to the new space.
His team did such a great job and was so thorough and cost conscious in everything they did we awarded him the maintenance contract on all four of our after hour AC units.
Since then we’ve been very happy with their service and response time. They come out 6 times a year and change filters and identify and fix anything before we even notice. When we did have a failure they came out within a couple of hours and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. I highly recommend Erez and his entire team.

Efficient, fast, excellent service both at my place of business and also on the phone. I had called other highly rated companies to get help. One waited until 4pm to tell me they couldn’t make it. One never called back. One said they couldn’t see me for another four days, one got mad when they called back and I said I’d gone with someone else. A/​C Control is my new go-​to company and it’s such a sigh of relief to know who I am going to call next time! Thank you. I appreciate your level of service. It’s good to be cold again. –M

Don’t bother with this company if you need an immediate response. Scratch that, don’t bother with them if you need any response at all.

— prominently advertises «24 hour repairs» with an 888 number. I called twice in one day — once at 7 pm, again at 9 pm and never received a call back. I get that A/​C service companies are busy in the summer, but no call back within 24 hours? Worthless.

I moved into a new place with a 30-​year old HVAC unit that was no longer working. Erez was willing to come out twice to give me a precise estimate. Once we agreed on the scope and price, he was able to schedule the work within a couple of days. The new unit works very well.
