History
Established in 2007.
SilRay, Inc. was founded in Palo Alto in 2007. In its early days, the company served primarily as a trader of raw polysilicon materials, the building blocks of solar panels. SilRay utilized strategic relationships with some of the world’s top silicon producers to provide silicon to panel manufacturers worldwide.
In early 2009, SilRay capitalized upon its strategic relationships within the solar panel supply chain to enter into the solar development realm, offering cost competitive, high quality SilRay brand panels as part of its turn-key development solution.
In 2011 SilRay, was awarded the «Minority Retail Energy Firm of the Year» by the U.S. Department of Commerce. SilRay was also listed in the Silicon Valley Business Journal as on of the «Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies» in the October issue of 2015.

Ms. April Zhong is the President & CEO of SilRay, Inc. She founded the company in early 2007. Prior to SilRay, Ms. Zhong was Senior VP at Solar EnerTech, a solar equipment manufacturer. She was responsible for worldwide sales and marketing strategy that included managing various sectors from end-to-end supply chains, sales activities, and strategic partnerships.
In 1999, Ms. Zhong jointly founded InfoTech Essentials where she dedicated more than eight years in energy efficiency field helping businesses reduce electricity consumption. Ms. Zhong also oversaw daily operations and international branch offices for InfoTech.
