We specialize in amazing color and cutting for all ages. We love to do Weddings and special occaision hair. The salon owner Lisa Saeger is also a hair extension expert fully trained and certified in both Great Length Hair extension systems and NXS hair extension systems.

History

Established in 1998.

Lisa Lisa A Studio for Hair and Nails began over 10 years ago now with the two founding partners both being named Lisa. Five years into the business one of the Lisa’s found other opportunities and left the business leaving one Lisa to run the show. Since then the creative and cozy salon continues to be a sparkling little gem in the heart of downtown Los Altos.

Recently renovated you will find yourself welcomed by all the stylists into their little studio, offered warm beverages or a cool glass of water, lots of great reading material and a comfy place to relax. Many clients just stop in for a relaxing visit or comment that they love to come for their appointments for the nice home away from home!

Lisa Saeger was born and raised in Los Altos but currently resides in San Jose. Has been doing hair for 20 years and has been a business owner for the last 10 years. She loves her career and the creative outlet it gives her. She enjoys her clients and knowing about their lives and making them happy with fabulous hair days. She enjoys educating her clientele on how to take care of and style their hair. She particularly loves the transformation that a great cut and color or highlights can make for a person. When she is not doing hair she is involved with her two teenagers activities. One of her children has done CMTSJ (Childrens Musical Theater of San Jose) for 5 years now and Lisa has been right in the thick of it doing costumes or the hair and make-​up for the shows. Her son and husband are blackbelts in Tae Kwon Do so she is often seen at the karate studio watching the men in her life kick butt! She has four crazy Boston Terriers at home jumping around like popcorn in a hot skillet.

I have been going to the salon for the past two years. Shelly, who works there, is my hair guru. She listens to me and talks to me through the haircut, which is very appreciated as some stylists just do what they want. Her color skills are unbelievable. She continued to adjust my shades to match the changes in my hair, and the season. I absolutely love Shelly!

I love Salon Lisa Lisa! I’ve only been one time (so far), but Lisa did a beautiful job on my hair. The blonde highlights she gave me look very pretty and natural, and the cut is great. Lisa is really sweet, and even invited me to bring my tiny little dog with me to my appointment (she knew about him because he was with me when I walked in to inquire about their services). I never would have considered bringing my dog to a hair appointment, but upon her suggestion, I brought him, and it was fun having him there, with all the ladies doting on him the whole time.
I also want to say how charming the space is. It’s a really welcoming combination of warm, cozy, and elegant. I love it there. And you can’t beat the location, right in the heart of downtown Los Altos.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shelly at Lisa Lisa in Los Altos. Shelly has been doing my hair for a little over three years. Every time I see her I walk away thrilled with my hair. She always listens to my ideas about my cut and color and I trust her explicitly to make my hair beautiful. Shelly is fun, welcoming and a true professional! She is a fantastic colorist (I always get full highlights) and gives a beautiful cut which leaves my hair healthy and full of volume. I always get compliments on my hair! A week later, I still love my cut and color as much as when I left the salon. That is rare for me! Lisa was able to get my hair to the light blonde color I wanted without drying it out — It actually feels softer and healthier than it has in a long time! She also gave me a beautiful cut, adding tons of body without taking off any length. The salon is a little pricier than where I usually go but the end result was well worth it. If you are looking for a new stylist, Lisa is wonderful!

Lisa Saeger, the salon’s owner, reversed my long-​time trend of switching stylists every 6 – 18 months. I’ve been with Lisa for about ten years and have morphed seamlessly in and out of various hairstyles over those years. I love the way she does my highlights, and she has a great feel for what my hair type can and can’t do, in terms of haircuts. She also introduces me to hair products to help me look my best; my current fave is a spray hair wax — awesome stuff. I highly recommend Lisa, plus she’s adorable and super fun to talk with.

Since moving to Mountain View, i decided i needed to find a new salon, (didn’t want to schlep to Campbell for my haircuts, even though i was happy at the salon i went to there.)
I found Lisa Lisa because of Unilocal.They are a bit tucked away off one of the two main streets in downtown Los Altos. I probably never would have noticed them on my own.
Tara cut my hair a few weeks ago, and I am VERY happy! She gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had!
She was pleasant and personable, and also got me in and out pretty quickly without making me feel rushed.
I also was able to find the organic hair products I like there. Although I made it clear I was interested in purchasing something, she was not pushy at all. I totally appreciated this, as I have encountered the opposite in the past.
My hair looks better than it has in years, and I will definitely be returning.
