They got our appointment time wrong, even when I checked with them twice. The person answering the phone does not speak/​understand English well so it’s hard to communicate with them

New owners — lovely calm place and one of the best massages (I am spa junkie) I have had ever. Every detail — ginger tea, fresh fruit when you are done. I looked it so much I booked another massage (Thai hot herbal) for next weekend!

CLOSED DOWN !!! Anyone know what happen? I’ve been going there a couple of years and loved the place. When I called today to book an appointment the number was disconnected. Went to the website that said they were re-​opening under another name on August 15^th, but it is now August 29^th. I had services pre-​paid for under a package deal. If it was a re-​model with plans to re-​open, why would they disconnect the phone?

The location of this place is prime as it’s in the middle of downtown Los Altos near shops and restaurants. Came in on a Sunday with a reservation of 11 am. Maybe it was too early but when I came in the lady in the front desk did not even greet me and looked confused as to why I was there. I mentioned I was there for a facial and the aromatherapy massage. Eventually someone offered me water and was escorted into my spa room. There was some confusion on their end about my service but eventually they found the correct schedule which threw me off. For a place that opens at 10 with their first customer coming in at 11 — they all seemed a little flustered and unprepared. Initial service 2 stars
Aromatherapy massage — 1.5 stars. $ 85 for a massage is 4 times overpriced of what it was really worth. I frequent foot spas and foot spa massages (for $ 20 to $ 30) surpasses what I received at Orchid bloom. The massage was very lackluster and there was very little aroma from the oil used. The lady that massaged did not put a lot of pressure. Just felt like a back rub and when I did ask for a little more pressure, the elbow was used which hurt a bit.
Orchid facial — 4 stars. Pat (i believe that was her name) gives a great facial massage. She was thorough and kind, very relaxing. I dock 1 star due to the lack of depth extractions. Her neck massage was way better than the lady that did my aromatherapy massage.
Overall service 2.5 for a spa in Los Altos. The ladies were extremely kind when I got out and i give their friendliness 5 stars, however the service altogether from beginning to end was not worth the prices.

We came here last night and had a good experience! We got the couples massage and arrived 15 minutes early. That gave us time to use the restroom and pay for the service ahead of time. We were told to choose our oil and they all smelled great but I chose jasmine. We were greeted by Mimi shortly and lead to the room. I didn’t get to meet my massage therapist Nari, until after my massage which was fine. I felt like it was a full 60 minutes which is nice, since some places rip you off. After our massage we enjoyed the ginger tea.

I tried this place out because I am a fan of the original Orchid Bloom Spa and I heard they were expanding here. My masseuse was Nari and I was very pleased since I had heard good things about her from the Orchid Bloom Unilocal page. When I came in I was in a lot of pain due to a vaccine I was having a bad reaction to and Nari was great! At first I was almost unable to continue due the the back and muscle pain I was experiencing. She found a pressure level I could tolerate and she went to work. Throughout my time there she worked out the pain and I felt great when I left. Orchid bloom has brought the same great level of service that they have in Los Altos to San Jose and I am glad they did. The only reason I gave them four out of five stars is because While the service is fantastic they are on the verge of a renovation and the facility does not look as nice as OBS. I believe that they are scheduled to complete the renovation very soon but right now the facilities are nice and clean but not to the high bar set by the Los Altos location. I will have to return in early December to see the renovated place and update my review. Give this place a shot and I am sure you won’t be disappointed. It is definitely a diamond in the rough.

Love this place. My fiancé and I have tried a few different places for couples massages and this is always our favorite. I’ve also had a full body spa treatment with massage and scrub. It felt wonderful! The staff is very friendly and always hospitable. The rooms are clean, relaxing and smell great. The massages are amazing and the staff consistently asks to ensure you are enjoying your massage. They often have Groupons and emailed coupons for various massages which are all great since the prices may seem a little steep normally. Though for all you get I think it is worth it! Definitely recommend this place for all massages!

Best massage so far. I tried the thai swedish massage and it was great. If you ever go ask for pat, she is amazing. Also I love their service, definitely coming back again.

Great little day spa with affordable prices and nice facilities in Los Altos. We had no issues getting an appointment the same day on a Saturday. They offered a special (for first timers?) one hour for $ 120. The couples room was small, but did the job for a quick appointment. Service is friendly and prompt. Make sure you tell the massage therapist what you want and where you need more attention. I felt like I had too much leg action when I could have used more neck and shoulder work. Overall, it was good. I’ll definitely be back for a little relaxation time in the local area.

The couples massage room was so small, I felt claustrophobic. Is that legal fire code space? It was so tight, You can hear the ladies clothes and bodies rub/​hit the walls as they massage us lol
Yes the masseuse was nice and had a smile.
The massage was just OK. Nothing fantastic.
She asked me what area i would like her to focus on… so i said, «neck, shoulders, arms, and hands.
You would think she would focus on all four places i mentioned.
But NOPE… it was the same olé normal boring full body massage you can get anywhere.
It was also a couples massage, so i didn’t want to make a big fuss and ruin my fiances massage.
When the massages were complete, we were offered tea and water and sat in the reception area for 5 minutes.
Nobody was at the receptionist desk when we arrived nor when our massage was done.
After waiting a couple minutes, so we left, i figured they would just charge my card because they had it on file.
They yelled at us across the street in downtown los altos to pay.
They not only embarrassed us in public, they had no idea if we payed or not.
They barely spoke any english. Then the receptionist comes out with a mouth full of food and calls her manager, speaks in another language, hangs up and says you owe $ 120.00
Lmao…duh, maybe if the receptionist could do her job instead of eating, she would most likely know whats going on.
We wont be going back here for massages. Unsubscribe from emails and were done!

I’m not a big Unilocaler but I just want to share my experience. I just got back from my massage and had an absolutely terrible experience.
I typed in «deep tissue massage» on google and this was one of the first places that came up and it had excellent Unilocal reviews and it was near my house.
I called on the phone, no answer. This place is down the street from me, so I dropped in and sure enough there was a lady at the front desk. To her credit she was very professional.
I asked specifically for a deep tissue massage and asked for extra attention to my left shoulder, which is the reason I came for the massage in the first place.
I was greeted by a woman in her late 50’s/early 60’s. I told her I asked for a deep tissue massage and kindly asked her if she would be strong enough to give a proper deep tissue massage. I was willing to wait for someone else or come back later. She assured me she would be able to do it.
What followed was the absolute worst massage of my life. First of all I started sweating immediately from the heated table. Then on top of that there was a towel covering my whole body while she was giving me the massage, which I have never experienced in a deep tissue massage.
I tried asking her to change her technique a few times. She tried to kneel on my lower back and use her other knee to massage my upper back, not only was this incredibly uncomfortable, but totally ineffective.
She did not even touch my left shoulder.
I have a headache from the head massage. It felt like she was ripping the hair from my scalp.
I would have had a better massage by rolling out at the gym on a foam roller.
I hate to be critical of an older lady but it was incredibly unprofessional and the entire time I was questioning if this lady had her license or if she had ever given a true deep tissue massage in her life.
Instead of locating pressure points, knots and slowly working them out, she thought a deep-​tissue massage meant «let me see how hard I can press my elbow into the center of your back.»
The only reason I didn’t stop the massage and walk out was because I do feel she was trying her best and she was an old lady, I didn’t want to be disrespectful and embarrass her.
I was going to ask for my money back, but I felt bad and left her a small tip also because, well, I just didn’t have the heart to humiliate her.
Maybe I have been spoiled by massage therapists in the past, but it was an absolute terrible massage and a waste of money.
I would not recommend this spa for anyone seeking a professional, deep tissue massage.

I made a plan to just relax this past Labor Day weekend and I mean relax. I did not make any plans with friends and I decided on Saturday afternoon to treat myself to a facial. Truthfully I never really get facials because I can’t afford them. So my biggest criterion when looking for a place to get a facial is the price. This place is right by my house so I looked up their prices online to see if it was worth it. I saw that the men’s executive facial was $ 80 but because this visit would have been my first time, I get a 20% discount bringing the cost down to $ 64. For me, ~$ 60 is a GOOD (not great) price for a facial so I decided to go here. I was relatively impressed with their quick availability (I called Friday night), since facial appointments are hard to book less than a day in advance, but I guess they were relatively free because of the long weekend.
When you first walk in, the interior is very Asian influenced and nicely decorated. Because this place is focused on Thai spa therapeutic techniques, there is a lot of décor from Thailand. I was immediately greeted by Joy, my esthetician, with a glass of water. After filling out some preliminary forms, my facial began. The procedure was so relaxing (minus the extractions, which are never relaxing no matter where you get a facial) and very thorough. After the facial, she gave me a sample of the exfoliation products and told me that I have good skin so just continue with my normal routine. I was very surprised because usually estheticians try to pressure you to buy the products that they used, which is slightly annoying. Overall, a VERY good facial for the price I payed.
The only problem with this place is that I will have to pay the full $ 80 the next time I come, which means it will be almost ~$ 100 for the facial with tip. Despite how great the experience was, it is still cutting it really close in terms of how much I would be willing to pay for a facial. Maybe if I am looking for a guaranteed good facial experience and it’s payday, I would be willing to splurge and come here but that may not happen for a while because I rarely get facials and when I do, I look for places that cost around $ 60 or sometimes even cheaper on groupon, living social, etc. However, like I said, if you want a guaranteed good facial experience or if you are a first-​timer, make sure you visit this place.

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. I got a package with a facial and an hour long massage. I fell asleep during the facial and after the massage I felt like a completely new person. She was firm on my on my lower back (where I was having problems) and on my face. All I could do yesterday was go home and zone out on the couch for the rest of the day while basking in my new stress free body.
Note: If you plan to be productive the day of your treatment, don’t go here! If you are one of those people that likes to be tortured and likes a lot of pain during your massage– don’t go here. If you want a well done, amazing massage mixing multiple modalities to ensure the right amount of pressure on each of your tense muscles– go here!
Seriously, best massage ever. This was my first facial, so I don’t have much to compare it to, but I can at least say my skin looks great and I didn’t break out afterwards which is kind of a big deal for me.

This is my favorite spa… I like the atmosphere, the comfortable massage rooms, and the waiting /​reception area is very well appointed. I usually get the deep tissue, Thai massage with the special oils. Very relaxing… Cecelia, Naya, and Alyssa are all good and strong. I usually go for a 90 minute massage, and it’s heaven.
I agree that Burke Williams is not as good as Orchid. With that said, it’s one of the top spas that I’ve been too.
I will try the facial next, since my friends rave about it.

Request for Monica as your therapist! I visited this place for the first time and Monica was assigned as my massage therapist, it turned out to be one of the best massages I’ve ever had! And consider I just went to Burke Williams a week before Orchid Bloom, BW massage was a 6, Orchid was a 10.
Okay now regarding other important stuff.
Location: easy to find, in the lovely downtown Los Altos with lots of street parking. Tip is to be there on Sunday, most store close on Sunday so there are plenty of parking space free right at the spa’s door.
Reception area: small but nicely decorated and very pleasant to sit in.
Massage room: relatively small, colorful interior, comfortable.
Service: very friendly staff, massage started right on time.
Extra: if you are a first time visitor, they have the $ ⁶⁹⁄₆₀ minute special listed on Unilocal; if you go for a couple’s massage, they give you sparkling wine, dessert and hot tea after the massage.

I’ve been here for 2 facials and 1 massage.
FACIALS: The first facial I had was very relaxing. There was a lot of massage. However, there was no extractions! When I asked the front desk why it wasn’t performed, they told me they only have 1 person, Sarah, who does extractions. I thought that was weird. But since my facial was relaxing, I decided to book another appointment with Sarah to get the extractions. Big mistake. She was so rough! There was no steaming b/​c she said it’s not part of their practice. The extractions were very painful and I had a lot of break out afterwards. I will not return for another facial.
MASSAGE: I bought the Groupon for the couple’s massage, which was supposed to come with champagne but all we got was juice. The massage was relaxing. I might return for a massage if there is a special rate, but I don’t think it is worth the full price.

I came here for a couples massage with a Groupon and had a fantastic experience. The room was small, but comfortable. They gave us tea before we went in and afterwards, I would have liked the tea to be a little warmer (it was lukewarm).
I left feeling relaxed and a little sleepy, but dh had a kink in his neck that left him a little uncomfortable. The staff did a great job of making us feel welcome, and listening to our guidance on how firm we wanted the pressure and where to focus. I would definitely recommend Orchid Bloom Spa to my friends and other Unilocalers!

I bought the groupon for a couples Swedish massage hoping to have a relaxing weekend with him at the spa. While making my appointment, the receptionist was VERY nice and extremely accommodating. Customer service wise, all the staff there were very friendly and professional. The vibe was calming and relaxing, which was a nice touch as well.
They started us off with champagne which was great, although I felt rushed in the fact that I had a few sips and then we were whisked off to our massage before our scheduled time. They said that if I’m not driving they will let me have my champagne after the massage. What? I hardly sat there for let alone 5 minutes! So weird. We came here to relax, not get rushed through.
Also, throughout our massage, it didn’t feel like a Swedish massage, we both felt like it was a combo of a deep tissue massage and some stretching stuff which I was unfamiliar with.
We left feeling somewhat relaxed… however, I think we will still keep looking around for a good massage therapist and experience.

I came here because I bought a couples massage groupon for $ 75. Original price would’ve been $ 150 for two which is definitely too steep for me.
The ambiance of the spa is tranquil, peaceful and therapeutic. There are orchids, mini waterfalls and candles decorated as you walk into the lobby. The first two times I made an appointment, I was cancelled on so I was very upset but they apologized and offered a free couples massage to make up for it. Now looking back, I’m sort of happy I got cancelled on because I scored an extra massage which totally was worth it.
Now onto the massages! They are amazing! The rooms are clean and dim which makes the experience comfortable and non-​intrusive. You can opt to keep your underwear on or go nude. The masseuses surely know what they are doing. We loved the magic hands of Nari and Pookie. We’ve explored a few others It left us feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and refreshed. Afterwards, they served us complimentary lychee which was delish!
