I wish Crab Feeds were a staple in my life. Fresh, steamed, and ready to be cracked, these little crustaceans pack lots of punch.
Although I enjoy eating tons and tons of these hard knock little suckers, it’s probably not a good idea to consume all you can eat.
TRUST ME. If you are unbuttoning your pants, BAD IDEA. YOU will pay later.
Unlike, the IFES Crab Ciopino dinner-http://www.yelp.com/biz/ifes-crab-cioppino-dinner-mountain-view#hrid:Cx-bqRRmiN-zgw9C0os_aA-this event and venue are much smaller. Picture the place where you had your high school prom. Are you seeing it???
The Charity Crab Feed was half that size. COZY.
Normally, there are 2 sessions. The first is at 5PM and it sells out fast. The second is at 8PM.
Advance Tickets: 35 for adults, 20 for kids 4 – 12
At the Door Tickets: 50 adults, 30 for kids 4 – 12
If you have a big group, you can reserve a table for 8! Although the price is cheaper, the fee does not include alcohol.
345 bucks gets you a chair at a table, a bib, some napkins, a salad, some pasta & garlic bread, a high school slave, and bottomless crab. No drinks, no dessert… not even water.
Were you reading… a high school slave. No joke. This assigned teen will get you anything and everything you desire. Lemons, more bread, more crab, more napkins, a drink… yeah…they will stand in that line for you.
For those who are easily parched, they do offer water on the premises. It will cost you $ 1 dollar for a bottle of water while bottles of wine will run you something like $ 12 – 15 bucks I think.
Finally, the CRAB. You can have a butter option, a cold option, or my favorite-​simply naked. Hot. Steamy. Crab. Hell yes.
Crab was a little bland for me, but I added lots and lots of lemon. You can ask for hot butter, but I prefer mine drenched in lemon juice with a tad more salt. Oh well, nice to know my sodium intake was minimal on this day.
Overall, great event. Great for groups and even families. Parking is easy if you arrive on time. Next time, I’ll bring more baby wipes, hot sauce, and that seafood rub I have in my pantry!
