We service all makes and models including European, Hybrids, and trucks. We specialize in BMW’s, M-​Benz, Lexus and all Asian imports. All of our repair work is performed by ASE technicians with ongoing technical training and is backed by 24,000 mile or 24 month warranty. Services and repairs we provide include: brakes, engine/​transmission, A/​C and heating, and all major and minor services.

Love this garage! When my car light comes on go on or I just need some air in the tire Allied Auto is always accommodating with a smile on their face! Matt, the «front desk» mechanic is very personable and is good at explaining things in laymen terms. I find them very honest and responsive.

I started coming here in February, when my old auto shop was forced out of business due to its location being re-​purposed for office space. I was initially nervous about where to go because I had received great personal service from the old place for 15 years. The reason I selected Allied was because the shop always struck me as a place that was run by people who love cars. They have interesting older vehicles around the premises; which shows that they don’t just work on simple problems. Over the course of several months they have replaced many of the ailing parts of my 10+ year old baby, which is a Mercedes ML 350. I can proudly say it’s one of the nicest on the road, in great part due to Allied’s good work.

This is the place I always recommend when friends ask where they should take their car. Fair pricing, courteous, and willing to explain the services they are providing. If I have a question, they take the time to explain, I absolutely appreciate their professional approach. Plus, they are friendly. Last, it’s very helpful that they provide a ride if needed.

The Allied guys do a good job. They were persistent with resolving the issue with our Volkswagen and honored an old Unilocal deal (I don’t think expired, but we had slight issues figuring it out on the phone, and they really helped).
Travis was good at communicating through the process with the car, and felt dedicated to good customer service.

These guys care about getting it right! From the way the office is laid out and cleaned to the way the estimates are presented and approved — everything is efficient, effective, and has its place. I’m guessing that’s what happens to my car. Prices are good, value is outstanding. Good communication skills and a focused on satisfied customers. Trust them.

My BMW X5 had an odd problem. It started showing «Electric Failure» alert in a random manner. On some days, it appeared every 15min, but not at all on other days. I brought the car to my familiar auto shop. They spent 2 hours, and they could reproduce the symptom but could not figure out why it happens. They charged a labor for 1 hour, and said it would take 5~6 hours of inspection (which is equivalent to $ 600~700 !). I gave up and brought the car to Allied Auto, then they could quickly figure it out as the failure of one of ignition coil, and replaced it. It may not be the cheapest shot in town. But considering the time saved and potential cost, they were the best choice for me. They are now my regular auto shop.

Not at all surprised to see the 5 star reviews on here for these guys, though I didn’t know of them before this morning. Two guys responded to a call for help nearby (look to have been Josh & Travis from the pics– thank you guys) to help open a car with a baby locked inside, and were extremely courteous, quick, and professional despite just kindly lending a hand, and speaking with a frantic mom. Speaks volumes about the people running the place– very awesome dudes here, without a doubt!

My ten year old Lexus RX330 had its lift gate stuck at open position, very weird problem. The guys at Allied auto works were able to find out the problem, and fixed it creatively without having to replace the whole motor. Excellent problem solving skills and great customer service. I’m so glad to find a trustworthy auto shop very close to home (recently moved from San Jose to Los Altos), it will be my goto place for all car problems from now on.

Going the dealer was by the far the least favorite part of owning a Jaguar. Service was terrible, they constantly ordered the wrong part, and I had to call them to find the status of my car every time. I finally had enough when a brake job, a sensor replacement, and few other things was quoted as over $ 5,000. I had walked past Allied Auto works hundreds of times, but wasn’t really sure if they could work on newer cars. I called Travis, and probably traded a half dozen calls with him over 24 hours as he reviewed the work order from Jaguar. He was very honest about what he thought needed to be done, what might not, but that he would need to see my car. I took the plunge. I think I saved a few thousand dollars, got awesome customer service, and supported a local business. My car is only 4 years old and just off warranty, but they seem to have the expertise to deal with newer models. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

I am going to keep this simple and to the point. Brett and team are great and they worked me in when I really needed it. My Passat was not having a good day at all! They gave me an estimate which matched the final bill! TWO THUMBS UP!
It was great to pick up my repaired car, running smoothly and washed as well!

This shop is owned by Brian who also owns the Allied Auto on Grant Road. They have a great reputation and have been in business in Los Altos for 25 years. Their prices are fair and much less expensive then a dealership. As the other reviewer noted their work is good and I have not have any trouble with the work done on our cars over the last 20 years. There are many good filtered reviews under their Miramonte shop and Grant Road shop. We are very happy they are in our neighborhood.

Excellent work, even better attitude. Done right and on time. One time I took my car there to have codes cleared after I replaced a faulty part. They did it for free, and in about 2 minutes. The dealer wanted $ 60 AND needed the car for an entire day… meaning I would also have to pay for a rental car.
