Here at The TIn Thimble, we specialize in a little bit of everything. Nuno and wet felting are currently the most popular techniques we teach in the shop, and we offer a large assortment of fibers and materials for felting projects. We also carry a variety of new patterns, fabrics, notions and yarn. In addition, we specialize in Vintage products such as fabric, patterns, notions and linens. An assortment of handmade children’s clothing, handmade jewelry, and other handmade gifts add to our inventory as well.

History

Established in 2007.

The Tin Thimble started with a trip to Minnesota where my Mom and I, Sharon Mansfield and Emma Farrell, received a large dose of inspiration. We came back to Newcastle, California, armed with a dream and a plan to open a store that was different than your standard quilt shop. Walk into our brick and mortar store in Loomis, California and its obvious that we achieved our dreams. The Tin Thimble has a little bit of everything. A dusting of new fabrics, a large selection of vintage fabrics, vintage buttons, vintage notions, vintage patterns, hand made children’s clothing, hand made jewelry and we offer a full schedule of classes.
