Under new ownership. Annie and her daughter Jenny are no longer there. Jenny is at Lee’s nails by Bank of America on Taylor. Be sure you specifically ask for her. They all book their own appointments there. Don’t believe them at Loomis nails when they try to tell you Jenny and Annie are still there. They’re lying.

Best place in the area to get your nails done! I drive a long way to come to the ladies here. They are very accommodating and extremely kind, but Vy is the bomb. No one does a better job in all of Sacramento, honestly. I have tried so many salons! I guess this used to belong to someone else and folks are upset some of the old ladies are gone. I never went to the salon before the new management took over so, I can only speak for the current ladies there. Prices are very very reasonable and they are open seven days a week, which is amazing for anyone who works«nine to five».

I made an appointment with Annie, best decision! She is very nice and easy to talk with. I LOVEDIT, excellent customer service, definitely coming back. Thanks again Loomis Nails!

Avoid, avoid, avoid! I went here because my usual nail salon wasn’t going to have anyone there to do acrylics for half a week, and I had one nail that was broken and needed to be fixed ASAP. I went to Loomis Nails because it is close to where I live. Biggest mistake of my life. I arrived when they opened. I had to wait 15 minutes at the station because they weren’t even ready yet.(Shouldn’t you be ready on time and before you even open up shop?) The lady that did my nails was nice, but that doesn’t make up for the next hour of what I went through. So she starts doing my nails, finally. And I noticed right off the bat that she was using tools out of her«soiled» jar rather than the one RIGHTNEXTTOIT that said«clean». Okay, that was the first thing. Then she proceeds to cut my nails so short that they look weird. Okay, fine, whatever, I’ll let that pass. Nails grow. Next, she buffs and does all that stuff and that’s fine. She even used new tools for that.(I think she did anyway.) I opted for gel polish on top of my acrylics. This is where things went completely downhill. When she was done, the polish wasn’t painted all the way down my nail. Some of them look like my nails have grown out, but it’s really because she didn’t paint them right. More than half of my nails are crooked or uneven. One of them she knicked with the little drilly thing that they use. And she also left polish all over my fingers. It literally looked like a child had painted my nails by the end of everything. I didn’t complain, but I should have. I tipped her decently, but I shouldn’t have. The whole visit was just awful. And, to make matters worse, not even a week later I accidentally bumped my thumb nail against a wall corner, and half of the nail(polish and acrylic both) went flying off. So now I have yet another broken nail. I have never, ever, had a nail chip like this from my normal place. The only reason the set I had before had a broken/cracked nail was because I waited too long to get a fill. But I will definitely wait on this one and just get it fixed when I go back to my normal salon because I will never set foot in Loomis Nails again.

Kids are in there watching cartoons and doing homework — definitely not relaxibg or enjoyable. The last time I went there, some BIMBO sat there talking loudly on her phone while her kid KICKED A BALLAROUNDTHEROOM and the employees said nothing & allowed it to go on. This is the most chaotic, UN-relaxing place. Don’t recommend!!!

DON’T GOTHERE… I try to reframe from writing reviews, because I don’t want to slam a business and cause them any harm. I’ve been going to Loomis Nails for about 3 years and I feel that I am amply qualified to post the number of rude and disastrous Mani/Pedi. I’ve also been getting my nails done from SF to Loomis for the past 40 years. 1) I have to start with Christmas 2014 — that’s when the disrespect really began. My last appointment before Christmas I gave a Christmas Card to 3 people. Annie, the man that works there and the sweat young woman that use to work there — I think her name was Wyn(??). I gave Annie $ 50 cash in her card, the man and Wyn received $ 25 cash in their cards. The mere fact that I gave Wyn a card seemed to really irritate Annie. Wyn was always nice to me and even with her broken English she always spoke to me in English. Wyn’s face lit up when I walked in the door and it made me feel really good that someone was actually happy to see me. What follows next occurred at every appointment. 2) If you don’t mind sitting there while their grandkids play cartoon and other children videos, you might be OK with Loomis Nails. Or what I disliked the most is when they put the same recorded concert, which is spoken and sung in Vietnamese. I asked that they put something on in English, so I could enjoy the singing too and Annie replied with, «we don’t understand everything,» and she didn’t change the video. 3) I think it is unbelievably rude to have to sit there for nearly 2 hours while they speak Vietnamese to each other and completely ignore you. 4) Annie who is the Manager — not the owner, Is the worst abuser of item #3. I have always given her a 20% plus tip, because I’m a generous tipper, but now I’ve grown tired of over tipping for services that are NOT up to my standards, but now she expects the tips. 5) The last two appointments(including tonight) Annie has been especially rude. 3 weeks ago Annie did only a so-so job on my manicure and grabbed and twisted my arm and even reprimanded me for not holding my hand correctly. I wasn’t about to tip her as much as usual. On a $ 37 bill I gave her a $ 7 tip. She looked at my money, fanned it out and started speaking Vietnamese to the man that works there. You don’t need to speak Vietnamese to know she was really pissed off that she didn’t get her usual $ 12 tip for the same job. When I got up to leave she didn’t even say Good Bye or Thank You, which is the norm. Tonight the bill was $ 37 as usual. I had to ask Annie to fix things on my nails several times, which I have never bothered with in the past. She was visibly annoyed. After she was done she asked if everything was OK — I just said yes. The woman that did my Pedicure tortured me by cutting so deep down the side of my toenails that I «yelped» in pain and said, «that really hurts». I have never felt pain or complained like that before in my 40 years of Mani-Pedis. After all of that I knew that this time was the absolute end of my relationship with Loomis Nail. In the end of the mess and torture I left a $ 7 tip. I paid the woman that did the pedicure(Annie didn’t even come out of the back as she usually does to collect my money). The woman first showed the money to the man and then to Annie. They were all looking at my money as if I didn’t give them enough money to cover the bill, much less the back that I did tip them $ 7. None of the 3 of them said, Good By or Thank You and neither did I. I will never go back and I would strongly recommend that you boycott Loomis Nails so they get the message that even after 3 years of service they still have to earn your patronage and not take you for granted and expect to be over tipped. I realize now I created the monster by over tipping. There is 1 woman that works there — Jennie — she seems to work independently of Annie and her team, and all of her customers seem to be very happy with her. Christina

I went here to try it out because it’s much closer to the nail salon I usually go to. At first it was going great. They saw me right away. There were only three customers in there. The massage was good. Then the lady did my nails but I had to leave so I paid and said thanks. I come home and checked my nails. I was surprised. The second coat was off. She didn’t get the whole nail, all 10 of them. She was rushing because one of the customers have been waiting for her to finish with me. She painted over as well in some of the other nails. I also noticed that she didn’t clean some of my toe nails or the extra dead skin around since there was another customer. Luckily, I have the same color polish at home so I had to fix my toes with the third coat. Good massage though. Not coming back again. I’d rather drive 15 more minutes to my usual nail salon.

Ahhhh… Really was hoping to find a local salon for me and my almost 13 year old to treat ourselves to pedis. Not the case with Loomis Nails. Do you ever have the flight or flight feel when you walk into a nail salon? Well, I had it big time and I regret not listening to my gut. #1– Polish selection. Sure they carry OPI product, but nearly every bottle was almost empty and very watery– I knew right away they watered them down with acetone. Not a deal breaker, but annoying nonetheless. #2– As they filled our soaking tubs, my daughter went to use the bathroom, I look in her filled tub, and there are toenails floating in it!!! I quietly ask then to drain and refill, of course they couldn’t understand, so I asked again, trying to be kind and not shout it in front of other customers, again, they didn’t get it so I was forced to say very loudly while pointing, PLEASEDRAINANDREFILLTHETUBTHEREARETOENAILSINIT! #3– They give me the dirty tub, seated my daughter in the other chair, and begin to work on her, while I just sit… they didn’t refill it, they didn’t acknowledge me, it took them 15 minutes to fill my tub and get my feet in. — Fight or flight– should’ve left! #4– Sure enough as expected, the colors we chose needed to be thinned– filled them right up with acetone. Nice. Not! #5– I had the man working on me. My daughter started her pedi 15 minutes before me, and I was done 10 minutes before her. He barely cut my cuticle’s, barely massaged my feet. Um who is paying the bill? Surely not the 13 year old? #6– I was appalled to see them pull out the nastiest used pumice I ever saw and use it on the lady next to me — Fight or flight instinct once again kicked in. I doubt very highly the tools used on us were sterile, cleaned or brand new. The only reason they get 1 star? Well, because I have to give them something, and because the lady working on my daughter was very sweet, she gave her a great massage and was very attentive to her. Unfortunately that alone is not reason to return to that dirty place.

Ok… Will not come back here. Came in with my BF for pedicure. 1. I first asked them if they would fix my chipped three fingers(gel manicure) and I would pay for it as I got the manicure somewhere else. She comes over with regular nail polish and starts painting. Huhhh??? So I start to explain again. She is telling me that nail polish is fine. Ok, but I would like my chips fixed correctly with gel. She does not like that I’m still asking and finally says in a huff $ 10. Well… Considering your full set of gels is about $ 22, $ 10 for three fingers is pretty steep but whatever. 2. Pedicure time. So while my BF is soaking in just water(nothing but luke warm water) for about 15 minutes) the guy comes over and starts on me. I am getting a gel pedicure. I already have gel on. The comes over with what looks like a Dremel. I have never had my gel removed with a drill. I’m terrified. I ask him why he’s using it. He tells me they always use it. I feel like my toe nails are being ground to nothing. Here we Go… Live Unilocal play by play bc I’m writing this now as it is happening I’m so thrown off by this! Finally I get to put my feet in the nothing water. No more than 30 seconds I’m back out for him to trim my cuticles. I think he spent about 15 seconds on that. Dude… I have not had a pedi in over a month and my cuticles grow like crazy. So far this is about the worst pedi ever. 18 minutes into this pedicure and he’s already onto the massage? Ok… I’m not huge complainer in real life but im starting to think this guy has not be trained formally. He also keeps staring at the clock in a noticeable way telling me he knows when to «switch legs» ASAP! I’m afraid to look at my toes bc it’s going to make me mad that I’ll have end up fixing them myself when I get home. :-( Meanwhile the boyfriend is still just getting his cuticles done. What’s wrong with this picture? Ok… So just got moved over to the side where manicures happen for my gel pedi. No more comfy chair. Now in one of the other chairs while the man is on a little nail kneeler in front of me. Problem is my chairs is on wheels and moves back constantly. Very very uncomfortable. While the ab workout I’m sure is something I appreciate… I came to relax. I also am pretty sure he might have given me cancer at the end by cooking my toes under that light. I’ve never stayed under the light that long. So here we are … Trying to get something nice done and it’s not happening. Now I’m done… With a freaking gel pedi cure and the BF is still getting his feet massages. No joke. I’m watching him… Mid massage. WTF? And I was worried I was going to delay him with my gel taking longer. Lesson learned… Don’t return.

Annie did a fabulous job. I got pink and white tips and couldn’t be happier! I had a 12:30 apt and didn’t have to wait, I was seated right away. Thank you Annie I will totally be back for my fill and will bring my daughter and friends to see you!

Stay away! I went in for a pedicure with my mom for my birthday and left with both big toe cuticles butchered and infected followed by days of having to soak in Epsom Salt and inability to wear anything but flip flops. Called and complained… was asked to come in then told to just soak my feet 3 times a day for 15 min, «no big deal» she said. Wasn’t offered a refund or anything. Unbelievable.

They do a good job, but I have been a little irritated the last few times I have tried to go there. and now I will just go down the street. I usually come as a walk in, I don’t mind waiting a little while — but its like an hour wait — the last 3 times I’ve tried. I tried making an appt. they were late for that and said it would be another ½ hr. I will not be back, if you are that busy — that’s great for them. but I just want a pedicure!

Walked in and was seated immediately. Fast and good work and reasonably priced. The older lady did ny acrylics and they’re done great. I’ll definitely be going back.
