Description

Specialties

At St. John’s, our smaller class sizes provide a more personal and intimate environment in which to learn. Students are able to form close relationships with teachers and support staff which allows our teachers to truly know your child and make their educational experience successful.

Faith in Jesus Christ is the reason our school exists. As a parent we know you want to ensure that your child will have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, but you also know your child will be affected by outside influences. Especially in today’s world, we can use all the help we can get!

At St. John the Baptist Catholic School, our goal is to assist you with every aspect of your child’s life – spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical – to help them prepare for the future… no matter what it is.

Give your child the confidence of a seamless transition from preschool to our K-8 program. What could be better than a program that works in partnership with students and families for the duration of their elementary and middle school education? We are setting the standard in Catholic education in the Rocky Mountain region!

History

Established in 1922.

The Sisters of St. Francis established St. John the Baptist Catholic School in the fall of 1922. The original school consisted of three buildings — a girls’ academy building that was quite old, a two-story frame house, and a small bungalow. These buildings were designed to accommodate 110 students from elementary level through high school. In the late 1970s, St. John’s was fairly firmly established as a K through 8th grade school. In the 1980s and early 1990s St. John’s Parish did renovation on the facility adding additional new lighting and a computer lab to the school. In 1999 St. John’s added a preschool to its facility, which firmly established St. John’s as a preschool to 8th grade school.
