I have been to this dealership a few times, and this place does not live up the what people expect from Mercedes Benz.
I wanted to bring in my car for a Service B, and went to their webpage. So you see a little link that says you can text someone from the service area to find out. I was in a meeting, and couldn’t get on the phone, so I thought it was helpful and tried it.
I end up asking the representative how much it would cost. And he said he needed my name and number to have someone call me back. I couldn’t answer the phone, so I told him no and that’s why I was using this tool. Maybe he was a sales man, but he could have called over to service to figure this out and give me an answer because he was the designated representative. Instead he ended up cutting chat connect rudely and left. He should be fired, and really shows you the level of service you receive at this dealership. Its one of the reasons Id rather not even call over there.

actually, this is not a review as i have not bought a car from this dealer, but want to make a statement that due to the (recent) poor reviews, i have decided to stop my search for a car from them… though, i had serious intentions to buy from them and had been searching for the right deal in their inventory for a few months. i feel bad
that i wasted all that time scanning their website and communicating with them.
one thing is really odd and annoying… on their site they state «get a price» next to the vehicle’s listed price, but when you talk to them it turns out that there is NO flexibility
in the price whatsoever. how misleading!

TERRIBLE service. Appointments mean nothing — car there all day with early morning appt. had not even been evaluated yet by end of day, why did I bother making an appointment a week earlier??? What a waste of my time and life. Then they tried to give me a Hyundai accent enterprise rental REALLY? Thanks a lot MERCEDES Benz.

My husband went there for oil change last Thursday .we got our car back next day with a concave door on the passenger side.(note: we didn’t check b4 we leave them) I call them immediately… they told me the service guy mike who’s in charge our car is not in and told us to come back Monday .ok my husband went back today they told my husband the concave on right side of the door was there b4 !!! They didn’t damage our car .And the manager Peter told us the girl who works at service noticed that n told everyone at service center ! Omg!!! Unbelievable!!! Usually they take pictures when every car arrives in service center. checked computer, every car has pics but not us… manager said they take pictures to protect themselves not costumers… speechless !!!

Buyer Beware.
I was disappointed with my purchase experience from Silver Star NY.
I purchased a certified E350 and was assured, in writing, that it did not have unrepaired damage. It did.
You cannot trust the verbal or written assurances of this dealer’s staff. Further, the dealership offered the MB Certification/​inspection (apparently as proof of the truth of the no-​damage claim) That report showed that the car, including the paint, had been inspected and had passed that inspection. Apparently the standard for passing the inspection is the presence of paint on the vehicle.
You Must Presume that this dealership still lives in the «bad old days» when any lie was satisfactory if it got the sale.
MB does not stand behind the purported certification. I asked.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. It only got one star because I feel like people should know what they are getting into. I’ve never seen a dealer with such low ratings especially a Mercedes dealer. I’m in the process of trying to get my deposit back on a car I am not getting. I got the run around from the salesman (I should’ve followed my gut when his horrible racist attempts at having a normal conversation made me feel queasy.) I emailed the President, Mr. Cohen, and he passed my extremely negative feedback to his sales manager who did not return my calls. P. S — also received disgusting texts from the salesman when I canceled our deal. «Deal» — if you can call it that. Please save yourself your time and hassle. Go somewhere else.

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! Tomorrow as in Tuesday, January 6 I will be purchasing a brand-​new Mercedes-​Benz ML 350 from the Brooklyn dealership! I gave these morons a chance I gaining my business. I call that morning to ask a test drive a specific ML model one with the lighting package on it I was a sure that they would go through Linson all there is to get this car that they had to get it out of a special storage room and all of this long story short I’ll drive the 45 minutes to get there and guess what kind of car I get the dry then you guessed it the base model granted it was a little late and they were about to close so the fact that I got to drive the car .1 miles I guess that’s understandable if they want to be just the cost of the car anyhow the service was terrible I feel extremely rushed and end up leaving without receiving my drivers license back I guess that’s the way to hook you into staying and so they can try to talk to you but most times I get test drive I get my ID when I go to get back in the car they make a copy and give it back to you not keep it. I call Saturday left several voicemails and I called on Monday and left voicemail if you like no one wants to return my phone call last week on actual person they say they’ll call back but yet it’s been hours and hours and hours I need my license so I can go and purchase the car from someone else! This dealership is a effing joke

This place is an absolute joke of a dealership. After taking my deposit and signing all paperwork, placing the car on the insurance policy and finalizing the deal, they back out a day after the car was supposed to be delivered. My family and I wasted an entire weekend for nothing. Sovereign honored the deal we had written up with silver star and even gave us a small additional monthly discount! Go straight to sovereign in Brooklyn to save yourself time and money

My husband, father and I went to Silver Star Motors, looking for a 2012 GL450.
The Internet sales person (Farzan) was easy to communicate with. Once we arrived, he greeted us, offered us refreshments and showed us to one of the sales associates (Bill.) That’s where everything good I have to say about Silver Star Motors ends.
Bill couldn’t answer some simple questions we had. Every time we asked him something, his response was «I have to look in the system.» Here’s my advice (as a business consultant): a sales associate should remember basic things, such as the cars’ warranty periods and their mileage. If he can’t do it, he should at least carry a list containing that information with him at all times. At some point, he said that he’d step inside, because he «wanted to give us some space.»
Eventually we picked a car that we liked. He never offered to take us for a test drive. I guess he expects people to shed $ 45,000-$ 50,000 for a car without test driving it first. He quoted us what all 3 of us believed to be a high price. Not wanting to waste time, I told him that we wouldn’t pay that much. He stood up in the middle of my sentence and left… without saying a single word?! My father was getting irritated and was about to walk out. Actually, I wish we did… But Bill returned at that very moment. When I inquired about negotiating the price down, he asked «how much are you thinking?» I have him an amount — 10% lower than what he quoted us. At this point, he jumped out of his chair, started running behind us and screaming: «You expect to pay $ 3,000 less than what we bought the car for?!» I calmly said «I have no idea how much you purchased the car for. But this is how much we are willing to offer you for it.» He didn’t even hear me, because he was too busy making a spectacle and yelling at someone «Did you hear that?!» He was pretending to be offended by our offer. Umm, was that supposed to intimidate us? I don’t think so.
Once he returned back to his desk, I politely asked what his counter-​offer would be. He insisted that the original price he quoted us is the lowest he’d go. Deciding we’ve had enough of his nonsense, I said that we won’t be paying that. I thanked him for his time and mentioned that we’re going to go check out a few other places. That’s when he got really pushy and insisted to see what other listings I had with me. I explained that I didn’t bother to print any other CPO listings. I had them on my cell phone. I also said that I will gladly show him 2 listings of non-​CPO vehicles that I had printed out. As I handed them to him, I informed him that they were not certified, but had a factory warranty. He cut me off by saying «certification is NOT THE SAME as factory warranty.» (Yes, I am aware of that, thank you. It is why I mentioned it in the first place.) I also pointed out that there are 2 other Mercedes-​Benz dealerships in NJ (one in Paramus and one in Morristown) where we wanted to go. Again, I got interrupted by Bill who was huffing and puffing how «nobody» could beat their prices. Ok. Sure. They are the Gods of all things Mercedes. Sigh.
He started to scribble on the non-​CPO listings (without even asking me):

LOSE 2.99% (As a side note, Chase actually gives lower financing at 2.74% than Mercedes’ 2.99%)

He quickly cut me off when I told him that I have an excellent credit score and that I’d be putting $ 20,000-$ 25,000 as a down payment. In fact, he said that is «worthless» to him. Really?
Bill failed to understand a few things:
1. Unlike most of his customers who buy pre-​owned cars, I had the total amount for the car sitting in my bank account as we spoke. I didn’t really need financing. I wanted to finance in order to help build my credit score.
2. I might’ve paid the asking price or close to it if he had spent his time educating us and negotiating with us… instead of being obnoxious, talking hastily and acting baffled.
3. I’m in my mid 20’s. This was going to be my first car. I have my whole life to drive. I like returning to the same places to do business when I get treated with respect. And he could’ve won a loyal customer, who would’ve bought her next 10 Mercedes cars from him.
My father (who has owned 16 Mercedes-​Benz vehicles throughout his life) told me that he has never witnessed such poor treatment towards customers. He was shocked.
I have to give the manager (Paul Cunha) some credit. He spent about 10 minutes with us, trying to salvage the situation and explain why CPO cars are more expensive (which we already knew.)
Once he stepped aside, Bill got on with it again. This time around I cut him off. I told him that we were late for another appointment, because there were many other Mercedes cars to see in the tri-​state area. He said that we shouldn’t wait if we wanted that one, because «it will be gone in 2 days.» Right.
Oh, well, we bought a GL450 elsewhere. I’m sorry I wasted my time with Silver Star.

Excellent experience I had my Mercedes Benz serviced there many times and they made me feel very comfortable and price was way better than the Mercedes Benz in New York City. Keep up the great service

I bring my car here for servicing merely because it’s convenient, but with every service the experience is worse than the last. While the staff is reasonably friendly, they tend not to really listen and then rush you out the door. On several occasions I have asked for certain things to be checked, only to pick up my car and realize the problem still exists and have to ask them to look at it once again; while I wait. Owning a Mercedes-​Benz is not cheap, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect impeccable customer service and leave with confidence that the issue you brought the car in for has been adequately fixed the first time.

Beware of LIC Sliverstar Motor Mercedes-​Benz owners in the tri-​state area. When it comes to trouble shooting a «Check Light» problem, their mechanics are incompetent and service advisor crooks.
I’ve been bringing my wife ML 350 there for schedule maintenance and break down prevention for 3 years to have peace of mind (spend over 10k).
While driving one morning «Check Engine» indicator came on and it started to shake abruptly at Red light. I brought it to the Sliver Star Motor and told them the symptom. They took it for 3 weeks and came up with the conclusion that it was probably was bad gas or air in my fuel system. The «engine light» wasnt on, so I was content and paid $ 250 for the check up.
A week later, everything happen again symmetrically and it broke down on me with my 7 months pregnant wife and 3 yr old son on Queens Blvd. I towed it to the LIC Sliverstar Motor. They said going have to charge me again to check it out and its probably the fuel pump. I said go f*#k yourself then towed it to independent MB mechanic in the area. The mechanic looked at it and It was fixed in 2 days for $ 500. He said 3 of my ignition coils were bad and the spark plugs were old. Which I paid the dealer a year ago to change.
I went to Silver Star Motor for peace of mind and ended up getting ripped off.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. This is the unclassiest Mercedes benz dealer ever. I agree with Rebecca’s post. I am currently trying to get a refund for an extended warranty-​which I don’t need anymore because I traded in the car for the 2014 model. Bob dimaio never returned my calls even after multiple messages. And when I went to see him in person, treated me like it was a hassle. Please, this is your job. You seem to be up on a high horse, but it actually makes you look really cheap and like a stereotypical «car salesman». Disgusting. If you’re planning on buying a benz, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Yea, they’ll be so nice when you buy the car, but once there’s an issue that needs to be handled, psh. Don’t count on them. Especially Mr. Bob.

Service gets 4 stars. Always follow up on calls, care about customers and make the experience an enjoyable one.
Pre-​owned sales, horrible experience. I walked in last year in winter, in sweats and a big jacket because it was really cold out. When I walked in I wasn’t greeted, I had to go and almost force a conversation with one of the sales guys, he looked at me like I wasn’t worth talking to since I didn’t look the part. Well I ended up buying a vehicle from one of his colleagues, that’s when he came to me and said: I could have helped you! Umm no thanks. Never judge a book by its cover you pretentious fool. Also, you work there so stop acting like you’re all that in a bag of chips. Not impressed with this department.

Horrible dont use them the worst horrible car prep bad customer service they have no idea about their cars dont buy there

For sales, they’re great (thanks Anna), but, when our car was totaled and we needed to work through them to receive refunds on our extended warranty and our tires and wheels warranty, they were horrible. It’s been over FOUR months, and they still haven’t managed to process our tire and wheels warranty and Paul Andrade makes it seem like he’s doing you a favor when he deigns to return a call or respond to an email.
Literally took FIVE months from initial contact to full resolution. Again — this is a comment regarding their resolution of warranty refunds not of their sales and/​or service departments which I found to be quite good.

Great service center with convenient hours.

The previous reviewers (other than annette c) obviously did not meet James or Paul when they went looking for a mercedes. I didn’t know if a mercedes would be in my price point or if it was even the right car for me. I felt no pressure from their sales rep, James, and had a great sit down with the finance manager, Paul, who showed me that I could afford one, and he made it work at the monthly number I wanted to be at.
I left the dealership to look around, and wasn’t harassed to stay or called a thousand times to come back even though I had already submitted an application and gotten approved for the loan. James kindly reached out to me to see if I was interested later that day, and just asked that I let him know by the morning. I went to several other dealerships, but ended up back at silver star. No slimy salesman experience here. I bought a used vehicle, and they even fixed the crack in the seat, added new break pads and roders.
As far as the price, I got it well below blue book value and it is truly a beautiful car. They made my experience buying a vehicle smooth and easy. I would definitely buy my next vehicle from them!
