To provide every child with access to programs that prepare them to enter our educational system while supporting their families to be active, integrated members of our society regardless of their immigrant status, socio-​economic, ethnic and cultural background.

Established in 1884.

We will operate as a cause-​driven organization addressing community needs through programs, developing relationships with and among members, collaborating with others, developing passionate cause-​driven leaders, ensuring access, inclusion and engagement for all, advocating to influence public policy, and measuring our impact while promoting and protecting the Y brand.

Meet the Manager

Andrea S.

Manager

Andrea Sulsona as the new Executive Director of the Early Childhood Education Branch of the YMCA Andrea has had a successful career as a social worker, case manager and early childhood educational trainer while working with children of all ages. She will bring excellence in staff development, community involvement, program operations and fund raising experience to the ECE program. As a YMCA Board Member and Annual Campaign Chair of the Early Childhood Education Department, a Social Worker with the City of Long Beach as well as a Magazine Publisher, Andrea brings a unique perspective to this position. Her accomplishments and community involvement will provide opportunity for growth in financial development, quality programming, family support services and program capacity.
