Description

Specialties

Comprehensive Child Development, Inc. (CCD) was founded in 1984 to serve low-income children (from 0 – 5) in the Long Beach, San Pedro, Wilmington, and LA Harbor communities. Our program provides children with the education and care needed to promote maximum developmental growth while supporting their nutritional needs. CCD’s mission is to provide affordable and transformational education and nutrition programs to advance the future of pre-school children and their working families striving for self-sufficiency.

We serve our communities through two pillar programs: Early Childhood Education and Care and Nutritious Meal Program. Families eligible for our program either receive child protective services, receive Public Assistance, are designated low-income eligible based on California Department of Education standards or are homeless. CCD works to create healthy families while giving children the tools and building blocks necessary to create strong foundations to thrive in school and life
