History

Established in 2013.

Really just a grown college kid, Eftihi Pentarakis, at one time dreamed of bringing the cuisine of the Rutgers Grease trucks to other parts of America. Over time the idea changed and morphed into what Teeky’s is today. Teeky’s Italian, Greek, and Mexican fusion with influences from Philadelphia, North and South Jersey, and the food scene right here in LA. A die hard fan of reggae music and Sublime we are thrilled to be opening Right here in Long Beach.

A Panzaropita is an New York Style Pizza dough rolled out into a pocket, stuffed with delicious ingredients, and then deep fryed. The idea is actually quite Big in Toronto, and parts of South Jersey. You can order a ‘panzarotti’ all over the world, even in Columbia.

What we aim to do is break all the rules and stuff the Panzarotias with «anything goes» ingredients.

Meet the Business Owner

Eftihi P.

Business Owner

Teeky’s started as a pipe dream in a Rutgers dorm about 12 years ago. Eftihi Pentarakis was quite obsessed with the Grease Trucks and their Fat Sandwiches. He would create new varieties in his dorm room and had at one point memorized all 50 varieties of Sandwich.

The concept morphed and evolved over the years, but in the end it is completely original place to eat that evades categorization. The biggest influences come from New Jersey and Philadelphia. However Greek, Italian, and Los Anegeles’ Mexican food all inform the crazy and sometimes chaotic menu choices at Teeky’s.

For years he would talk endlessly about how he was going to bring these food concepts to another part of the country.

Efti is thrilled to be able to attempt his lifelong dream in Long Beach, CA. A lifelong Sublime diehard. Eftihi’s favorite music has always been reggae and this is evident the moment you walk step inside.
