This place is small and looks like an older gas station. The wait is never that long in line. The prices are usually not that high but I am willing to pay the 10 cents more a gallon than Arco.

Stopped by to get some middle of the night snacks. First off the cashier wasn’t even in the store. He was sitting in a van outside smoking weed. He saw me pull up and stepped out of the van to open the store. He seemed bothered to give me service. Didn’t say much, seemed in a rush to get us out of there. As I left he got back into the car to continue what he was doing and I saw him begin mocking me to his friend in the van. Very bad experience. Never returning and will never recommend this place to anyone.

The clerk was plain rude when I asked if they had a wine opener. Besides, area is bit sketch. Areas on 4th and further north are bit dangerous. It’s bit dim in the area. Given that the P&B liquor also on 4th st had a shooting, you would think they would keep it safer.

Scotty’s one of the dirtiest liquor places in long beach. Poor service no selection and drug addictes hanging out in or around the premises. Almost feels like the workers there are connected with the drugs being sold and used.

My boyfriend used to live directly next to this liquor store. It was his go-to for everything. I really believe he spent a quarter of his paycheck here before he met me and I did the grocery shopping at an actual market :) It has everything you need and some extra little things up front, but I like this place because the employees are so kind and friendly. Mike is the best! Great neighborhood market and decent priced gas.

Good for a neighborhood quick stop and they got a good wine selection considering the size of the place. Gas, beer, wine, and snacks. everything you want in a neighborhood spot. The parking lot is kind of dark at night but I’m sure they are open pretty late if you were wondering.

Need some booze in that 1:30am — 2am post bar/pre-bad decision time? Scotty’s is your place. No, they’re are no Benson, but they’ll do for a case of beer or a bottle of wine in a pinch. It’s definitely an old school sorta gas station/mini mart. And it has all of the mini mart accoutrement a gal could ask for. Lotto tickets, Diet Dr Pepper, booze. …and all 24 hours a day.

A former friend of mine just loved his place for the slushes, out dated noshes and getting over priced watered down gasoline. Gee Kevin, I have no idea why you Durango runs and sounds like those NO-Tell-Motel beds you put quarters in! I on the other hand only like it because it had many amenities for my debauchery at reasonable prices and, that I could buy them in bulk(Viagra take an expensive hike)! Being a 5 minute drive from home, this in a pinch min-mart gas station has been useful for my OCD moments of «OMG, I thought I had some of those left»!

Sometimes it may seem… whats the word I am looking for … sketchy, but I love Scotty’s. I love all the men who work there. Mike and Sam will take a while to warm up to you but when they do they are all smiles and incredibly kind. I mean I am sure they have to be ever vigilant considering how easy it could be to steal and they are open 24 hours. I used to live like right next door but had to move down fourth towards roswell and yes i still make the journey to Scotty’s. I am loyal to them. And the best part is a worker named Tommy«one love». He usually works weekend night shifts and he is the kindest. Did i mention they also sell the illusive nacho cheese bugles. love it all

Watered down gas, stale/expired peanuts, overpriced tea, wailing electro-door chime(it goes up to eleven), hot-falafel-breathing(too old for a pony tail and too young to claim senility when returning incorrect change) register dude; who sizes up every guy confusing his odorous omnipresence for the beef-jerky shrine. The ‘Forests of Lebanon’ scented incense ain’t working bud. Short of a neighborhood snake charmer loitering in the front, it’s everything a 4th street ‘gas/food mart’ should be. Warning: Don’t stare at Zappa’s left eye and avoid paying w/plastic. I have a feeling the mystery charges described by Meghan O. & Phoenix A. are funding the downtown Beirut mural on his mini-bus.

What used to be the cheapest gas in the area is now and has been for a while, the most expensive gas around. They’re tiered pricing is not the normal 10 cents, like at every other gas station around. They’ll charge $ 2.29, $ 2.59, and $ 2.69. That’s about what it was yesterday, I believe, so the premium users are definitely violated in comparison to what the competition is offering with better mini marts included. I’ve been in there once to dispute a $ 30 charge when their gas pump was not working and they never reversed the transaction. Thankfully, my bank did it. I swore off the place but had to go in there once for a lighter or something and the guy working there was soooo unfriendly.

Conveniently located next door to my apartment, I could never go wrong with satisfying cravings here. How nice are the guys running it! Thank you I’ll come again!

1 star — they have inexpensive-ish gas 2 star — it’s close to my house and usually on the way to where ever I’m going 3 star — it’s easy to get in and out of 4 star — their squeegees squeege quite nicely

When checking my online bank statment the other day, I noticed a strange charge for $ 30 to Scotty’s Gas and Food Mart. I knew I’d been there twice recently(once to use the ATM so I could eat at the Coffee Cup across the street and once to buy a 6-pack of Newcastle). But I wasn’t there the day that the charge was listed and I certainly didn’t spend $ 30. So I called the store to protest the charge, explaining to the man who answered that there was no way this charge could be correct and that I wasn’t even in his establishment on the 25th. I told him that I was there the following day to use the ATM and made an $ 8 purchase the next week, but that this $ 30 charge was completely bogus. He was very patient and took down my name, phone number, and card number and said he would check the records and get back to me. Most gas station attendants wouldn’t go this far. Most would just tell me that they have to go by what their records and receipts say and that would be the end of it. Or they’d pretend to take my information and never call back. But this man(kind soul that he is) called me back a few hours later and told me that I indeed purchased gas from pump #3 at 12:00 pm on Friday the 25th. And then it all came back to me. I did indeed get gas at Scotty’s that day on my way to Starling Diner. Yes, I was there to use the ATM the following day and came back again the next weekend for beer, but I had completely blocked out the gas-pumping excursion. Whoops. After coming to this realization I felt like a fool and apologized profusely to the nice man who had probably just wasted a good chunk of time checking the credit card records. Scotty’s, here’s 5 stars for customer service and another 5 for putting lame customers like me in their place.
