I called and called and they kept answering and hanging up on me. I mean at least let it go to voicemail so I can leave a message. I find that very disrespectful. Yes it was 7:03 and they close at 7. But I was driving and saw that there was a lady sitting down so I decided to call to get some info and make an appointment. Looks like they didn’t want my service and I will for sure never again waste a thought on this place. I could only imagine how they treat you in person.

Do not trust these people. they are con artist. Front desk staff is rude and everything is overprice when you can get the same thing elsewhere cheaper and better quality. FYI… the address is wrong, they are now located at the corner of Bellflower and Atherton St.

I used the living social for a life read. I have to admit that the woman was spot on. Most accurate reading I have ever had. The atmosphere is unprofessional and of course they tried to «up sell» me for 700.00 as all of these types of places do. I would never fall for that. Overall, I would go back for a life reading.

I paid full price for a full life reading and all I received were warnings about negative energy that could be cleared for a mere $ 1700. Of course, I didn’t pay that and I was still completely ripped off for the $ that nothing experience cost me. I even protested reminding her that what I came there for. No acknowledgement, just a fake concern for my well being. I’d call her a charlatan but it would be an insult to them.

I bought the Living Social deal last November and since January have been trying to get an appointment. But either their voice mail box is full (first call) or my voice mail messages requesting for an appointment were totally ignored (3 calls), I ended up having to file a complaint with Amazon. Then on Saturday, as I drove past the spa, I noticed there was someone there (hallelujah!) and called immediately for an appointment.
Korinne (I think that’s how it’s spelled) took the appointment for the same day, and when I got there, she greeted me and then proceeded to ask me the usual intake questions. Then she told me that she had one more client right after me and because of that (and there was no front desk receptionist), she had to leave the front door unlocked while I got my massage.
No intake forms, no taking down of phone numbers. Out of 4 clients that day, I think I was the only one who showed up since the client after me wasn’t there 20 minutes past the hour. I feel bad for the therapist since the same people who no-​showed can keep making appointments because they don’t keep track of their vouchers. One thing that someone else has mentioned in the other reviews — paper thin sheets on the massage table. I mean, paper thin to the point of sheer.
But — the massage was really good. I liked her pressure and her rhythm and the session left my body feeling pretty relaxed. She even used some elbow pressure on me since I was pretty tight along my shoulders.
I would love to give the place 3 stars if I could, but 2 is the best I can do — though the therapist deserves 4 stars for doing her best despite the circumstances. The owner doesn’t even deserve one star because she couldn’t seem to be bothered to even be there for a few hours while her therapist was working. There were no prices on any of the products in the lobby, so if you wanted to buy something, no such luck. And good luck in trying to get an appointment — I called 4 times, left 3 messages, and never got a call back.
If it weren’t for me having driven by and seeing that someone was there and quickly making an appointment for the same day, I’d have given up on my voucher and requested my money back from Amazon.

Hold on to your wallets kids, this one could cost you upwards of 6 thousand dollars! I went in for a basic reading and was told all this mumbo jumbo about past lives and spirits that needed to be removed… etc.
I consider myself to be an educated and savvy consumer, and it is totally beyond me how the owner, Jules was able to prey on me for that huge amount.
This is nothing more than a modern day gypsy, well skilled on how to take a few nickels from those innocently seeking true love, happiness, or just career advice.
Not sure how they are still in business, when attempts to reach them go unanswered.
Be very aware of this business, they are unethical.

I was very disappointed in the place. I bought one of their living social deals but every time I called them to schedule an appointment they seemed to be closed. When I finally got ahold of them they explained they were closed on Sundays and to call tomorrow, I called 3 times the next day and didn’t get an answer. My deal finally expired and never got an appointment. I will never buy anything from these unprofessional people again.

I went in to redeem a living social deal for a massage and I was greeted by Jules, the owner. She immediately offered me a cold bottle of water and greeted me by name as soon as I walked in the door. She was genuinely interested in getting to know me as a future client. I have never felt so welcome into a spa. I felt like I mattered instead of «just another client».
I received my massage from Corrinne, who asked me several questions before as well as warning me about the bright light of the lobby after leaving the massage room. She did an excellent job of making me feel relaxed – I got the total relaxation massage. It is not a deep tissue, intense massage. If you are looking for the super sore all over the body next day experience this is not it. I felt very calm afterwards. A la relaxation.
In response to other reviews: I really think that the owner and employees actually LISTEN to feedback from their clients. I read the reviews before going and was very skeptical. However, I’m glad I did. I think if you’ve been there before, give them another chance. If you are thinking about going, you will be glad you did.

It would have been great if I paid $ 299 additional to clear my energy for love.

Psychic Life Review: My life review consisted of her identifying 3 areas to cover «specific» to me: career, love, and self that she saw were important. I did not receive the type of reading I expected: details about specific questions or areas in my life that would also help to validate the accuracy of the information she provided. I was told like the others that I have a negative energy past-​life being around me that needed removing that was affecting all three areas and it would take $ 500 to «buy the materials» since she would not charge me for her time since she does this work for God. This was after about 25 minutes of her talking about herself and her own life. While I appreciated knowing something about the person I was trusting, I felt the time constraint. She stated that there was an entity around me that was sending out a «soul odor» keeping a key relationship from happening, and this negative energy needed to be removed. She clearly hesitated to tell me that the job interview I just had would lead to further talks, or give me any answers to specific questions. Trying to ask her those type of questions was clearly not part of what she wanted to provide but rather was focused on selling me her prayer/​meditation/​materials program to remove the entity.
The next day after the reading, I did in fact hear from the job and had a second interview scheduled. That next week, I arranged the job interview and flew there at my own expense. The whole experience was a disaster… The relationship contact never occurred she assured me of. My assessment was that it was all a money-​making expedition.

This was by far the worst massage experience I’ve ever had!!! My BF bought me a amazon deal for a 1 hour massage. First off all start by saying the receptionist was very unfriendly and rude. My massage was scheduled for 10 a.m. I came in 10 minutes early so I could fill out any paper work– (which there wasn’t any). Myself and a man were waiting for our therapists who were not there. 10:10 I finally said something to the receptionist who was on Facebook the whole time ! Then the receptionist then made excuses for the both of them as their was «traffic ». So the first therapist comes in with a bunch of bags in her hand and apologized to the other guy for being late. The receptionist then preceded with a comment that she was only 5 minutes late which was clearly false as I was staring at my phone the entire time. Finally after being 25 minutes late for my massage my therapist walks in, I try to shake off her tardiness and enjoy my massage as its suppose to be a relaxing experience. She then guides me to a room and puts down two sheets on a yucky table with duck tape on it.
My therapist then asks me if I have any concerns or areas she could focus on I asked her to focus on my lower back and my upper shoulders. She leaves the room so i could undress and when she comes back i asked her if she had a blanket as it was chilly She said no but I might have a towel I said OK. She starts at my feet and proceeds to tell me she is going to put rubbing alcohol on my feet before she rubbed them. Her massage technique was so poor and uncomfortable she rubbed my legs for maybe 2 minutes each and spent More time folding the sheets And she did rubbing my legs. I was trying to relax as she proceeded to my back every 1 minute she would squirt a bottle of massage cream and aggressively rub it back and forth in her hands. I asked her if she could please slow down as she raced through the entire thing she rubbed my shoulders and back for a MAXIMUM of 10 minutes and asked me to turn over. I asked her if she was finished with my back and she replied with a rude tone did I know that it was a full body massage. I replied those were my areas of concern. Why did she even ask if she wasn’t going to listen ??? I tried to explain to her but she then proceeded to tell me this is how she did massage at her school — I was so uncomfortable I asked her to stop I was maybe 30 minutes into my massage including changing my clothes Most of the time she was folding the sheets. I got dressed quickly and explained to the receptionist what had happen. She said that’s funny because lots of people request this therapist, she made me feel so unwelcome she didn’t offer anything to make my visit better.

I went with a living social deal for a massage. I was not disappointed. Tina asked me my preferences, and followed them. Walking into the lobby was immediate relaxation. Soothing atmosphere, music etc. I was offered water right away, which was great, since I knew I needed it. Just going from the darkened massage room to the bright lobby, took my eyes a few minutes to adjust. I think some sheer drapes over the windows would help, even just thumb tacked in place. And use the parking garage, I didn’t know it was available, I went around the block once and used the park down the street.

Late last year, in spiritual preparation for the birth of my daughter, I went in for a Terra card reading for $ 75. During my reading Jules (Owner of Mystical Chakra), Jules said she identified negative energy and could heal and remove these negative energies by opening a case for me. This would entail a series of face to face and at home meditations and tasks that we would do together until I was healed and what she referred to as ‘Closing my case’. The service to open my case and do a deep dive would cost $ 500 and was above and beyond the reading she did for me at $ 75. I agreed to this service, scheduled my first ‘Deep Dive Case Meeting’, and paid $ 575 ($ 75 for the Terra card reading, $ 500 to ‘Open my case’).
My first ‘Case’ meeting was schedule a couple days later. In this meeting she did her deep dive and told me about past life problems and energies from other people still attached to me. She told me in order to remove these energies that I would have to purchase a Tabernacle. Jules told me she had a wholesale membership to a distributor and can purchase the tabernacle at a lower cost. She pulled out her book and showed my examples of what she was going to purchase. She said that since she had the membership, she had to be the one to purchase the tabernacle. She said that she could not front the money and asked me to pay in advance. She told me it would cost $ 5,000, I agreed and asked her if she could just provide me with the original invoice of the purchase to verify the purchase amount.
During our next meeting, besides the tabernacle she told me that I had to now also purchase a Rolex Watch. It would be one of the items she needed that that would eventually be placed in my tabernacle. This made me extremely nervous for a few reasons. First, she said Rolex, was the only brand that can hold God’s energy that I needed to heal and no other brand would work. Secondly, she had the specific model and already called stores and looked into financing options for me. Lastly, after repeated requests I had still yet to receive the purchase invoice or the Tabernacle that I paid $ 5,000 that she claims to have purchased for me.
To make a long story short we meet a few more times. I continued to ask, email and text her requests to send me the original invoice and if she could bring me the tabernacle, which never happened. She kept insisting that it would take time and that I needed to purchase a Rolex. I don’t think I was unreasonable to ask for the original purchase receipt. The lack of her ability to provide the purchase receipt and product (tabernacle), coupled with her insistence for me to purchase a Rolex compelled me to file the dispute. Luckily, I paid for it on American Express and was able to dispute this amount and get a refund.
When they responded to the American Express dispute they falsified accounting documents to make it appear as if I pre-​paid for a series of mediation for $ 5,000 for $ 500 for each session. Luckily I had saved all me text and email correspondences with them along with these other customer reviews that help support my dispute. Thank God for Unilocal customer reviews and American Express!

This review is based on a massage I received after purchasing a voucher from Living Social. What a disappointment. They’re a new business and it shows. First off the massage therapist was sweet, but appeared to be inexperienced. Most therapist will ask if there’s any part of the body that needs extra attention, what areas need to be avoided, or how much pressure to apply. I wasn’t asked ANY questions. I wasn’t even asked to fill out any type of paper work upon my arrival. I’ve had enough massages to know the difference between a good one and a bad one. This one was just plain BAD. I understand the living social voucher advertised itself as an hour long relaxing massage not deep tissue, but honestly on a scale of 1 to 10 the amount of pressure that was applies was more like a 3 and her technique was very green. I wish I hadn’t purchased a voucher for this business. It was a real let down and I will not return.
The pros:
— My massage therapist was sweet.
— The facility was clean. A lot of white walls if that’s your thing.
— The massage room offered soothing music.
The cons:
— The front desk customer service is lacking. The receptionist behind the register was grungy looking and appeared out of it. Not real professional.
— How is it that their cash register has no cash in the till to make change for tipping… on a Saturday afternoon!!! The massage therapist had to go next door to the taco restaurant to get change!
— After exiting the room from where you were supposed to have received a relaxing massage you are blinded by the blaring sun light beaming into the reception area. There are NO blinds in the facility.
— They don’t offer you water before or after your massage and don’t even suggest drinking plenty of water afterwards (probably because the pressure from my therapist was so light that one wouldn’t consider it a massage).
— They drape a single thin sheet over the massage table and didn’t put any type of pillow under my legs when laying prone. Don’t expect anything plush.

Truly life changing experience! My husband and I went in for a full life reading that we’d purchased on livingsocial just to try something new. We’d never been to a psychic before and I admit we were a bit skeptical, but hopefull too. Well, we were blown away! Jules, the psychic, was kind, personable, and absolutely touched us with her visions of our past, present, and future. She knew things that she couldn’t have known if she didn’t have a true gift! She gave us great insight on things and signs in our lives that we’d been experiencing that needed to change and made us aware of things we’d been ingoring that would change or lives if we refocus on the things we do best and need most. I think I cried 3 times, thats how great she was. You have to make an appointment for a full life reading, it will change you life, if you let it.

Jules is fantastic! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and peacefulness at Mystical. I had a reading done and a massage, very relaxing experience. I will definitely be coming back.
