Performance Plus Tire & Automotive Superstore is a full service dealer specializing in tires, wheels, and automotive service. We sell all major brand tires for passenger, light truck, and off road applications, and carry over 100 brands of custom wheels and rims. We are also one of the world’s largest marketers of vintage and collector car tires. We perform mounting, wheel balancing, tire rotations, and flat repairs.

Our ASE certified service department offers wheel alignments, brake service, front end service, oil changes, and preventative maintenance. We have an in-​house polishing shop for aluminum, stainless steel, and brass materials, and our on-​site wheel repair facility can handle most bent or damaged wheels and rims.

Established in 1971.

Our family-​owned business was founded in 1971, and we’ve since grown into one of the largest tire dealers in Southern California. Our first store («The Big House of Chrome») was opened in Inglewood, and through our history, we’ve operated ten retail stores and three wholesale warehouses. Today, we operate one superstore in Long Beach staffed by 40+ team members. Customer service is our number one priority. If we don’t care of the customer, someone else will!

This place always has competitive pricing and they seem to always do what they can to help you. I’ve bought tires from them on a budget before and they worked with me to get me something in my price range. I’ve gotten alignments here as well as tires.
I also wanted to mention that a gentleman by the name of Andy took really good car of me. I came in looking for factory sized Mercedes lug bolts one time since I was running on 3 bolts in the front L (diff. tire shop striped a few). I was looking for the complete set and unfortunately, they were out of stock. I explained my situation and Andy searched for like 5 minutes to find me one. This really helped me out since it was late in the day and I wouldn’t be able to go elsewhere. Also, he possibly saved me from a dangerous situation!
Always shop around, but make sure to give these guys a try.

Manufacture couldn’t supply wheels for 3 months, I had enough and called the manager Tom to tell him how upset I was about the situation and to cancel my order. He asked me to wait half a day to see what he could do and by the end of the day my wheels were shipped ups next day and were installed that day with a discount. He could have easily said «hey this is not our fault talk to the manufacture» but he didn’t and I will be returning for future Buisness

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK (if needed). Here’s my testimony.
My tire indicator kept going off and I kept insisting there was a glitch in the computer system since I didn’t see or feel a flat tire. Driving home from work on a Friday night it happened, that dreadfall noise… erg, a flat tire. I managed to get home safely 2 blocks away from my house. I look down and hear why, hissing… complete flat — I hit a pot hole causing the screw to come out. Soooo… computer system was right and by my good fortune and the grace of God, was safe and AAA came in handy.
I specifically asked for a reputable tire shop within my allotted distance that was recommended and poof (same place I found on Unilocal with a 4.5 rating-​understatement). This place should have 5 stars.
Place is decked out retro 50’s specs that mirrors a diner. Loved the vintage cars but was blown away by the customer service I was given. He even explained in full detail what they would do and offered water or coffee. I was hesitant on «patch it up or buy new tire». But after his thorough explanation — I rest assured and trusted his professional expertise. Patch was best bet.
The tow truck driver who gave me the ride was pretty awesome too and even acknowledged the cars in the lot were pretty neat as well.

Bridgestone tires under warranty replaced with a smile and very professional! Can’t see bringing the car anywhere else for tires or any suspension issues

I emailed for a quote gave the exact lift they were going to install. They said they would look it up and email back a quote. Got the email back then on the weekend I called 15 minutes after they opened to see if they could do it that day. The guy said no I needed an appointment. Then I call during the week to make an appointment for today and the guy says just be there at 8 am they don’t take appointments he asked what lift and I told him and he said plan for it to be worked on most of the day. So I show up today 20 minutes before they open they go over the lift and I retold them it’s a coil lift. No problem I sign the papers and they say ok see you this afternoon. I get a call an hour and a half later that the quote was wrong buy $ 450. So not only had I already been quoted signed a paper saying my total but three employees didn’t say anything about a wrong price. I didn’t get it installed. I went back to pick it up. Thanks for 3 different employees not actually looking and listening to what a customer says. And a 4th telling me I need and appointment.

Only shop that figured out my steering issue. Others tried Alignments, New motor mounts, New struts. Was getting really expensive. Car still pulled badly to the left upon acceleration, and badly to the right upon braking. Turns out the lower control arms and bushings needed to be replaced. Car had 190,000 miles. Nice work guys… corrected the problem for about $ 500.

Best tire buying experience I’ve ever had! Brian helped me get the best deal on my tire. Not only do they deliver exceptional customer service, their shop is really cool. It’s retro hip, super clean and I really dig that they also do a lot of charitable work with the community. I appreciate this place a lot. Really impressive. :D

We blew a tire and the guys at Performance Plus were able to locate the brand and size by the next day. We came in around five pm and they had the new tire mounted, balanced and on the car in under an hour. Friendly staff and they got they job done quickly.

Performance Plus Tires have the best prices in town. Family owned and operated for years. I don’t bother going anyway else because they beat everyone’s prices by hundreds of dollars.
The service is always great especially from Charlie. Charlie has been helping me since 2003. They have installed new tires on every vehicle I have ever own which has been a lot over the years. Within the last 6 months I have came here three times to get new tires on three different cars and every time I have gotten the best service, knowledgable, and price.
I drive all the way from Orange County to Long Beach to see these guys and they never disappoint. These guys do it all from installing tires to adding performance parts like air filters to lifting my F150 to selling me rims.

When I arrived, a man opened the door and immediately offered to look at my car. I was already getting service ad respect before I walked to the service counter! BIG points
At the counter, the men were extremely professional and friendly, making me feel very comfortable. They easily honored my coupon from Unilocal,and offered me a seat.
During my wait, I was approached twice with updates about my car. I never felt like a forgotten customer. I had also learned from other customers, that this business has a sterling reputation for quality service (a reputation that seems to have been consistent for years).

I got to Performance Plus Tire at 7:50am on a Wednesday thinking I will be the first customer in line. One of my tires had a small hole and needed a patch up. When I got there, I was about the fifteenth person in line waiting for the doors to open at 8am. That just goes to show that PPT has a loyal clientele of customers who are willing to wake up at the crack of dawn just to bring their car to PPT.
I was able to talk to a representative around 8:10 am about my tire problem. He assured me it would be taken care of and it would just be about an hour wait because of the cars in front of me. Around 9:30am, I was told my tire was patched up and ready to go. I tried to pay, but the nice man told me it was not necessary. I am a happy customer!
Not being a car expert, it’s nice knowing you can bring your automobile to a shop to get the proper work done without the worry of being scammed or upsold. PPT has my full pledge of support for the time being!

Great experience from beginning to end! Spoke to Brian just over a week ago about a wheel and tire package I was interested in. Ended up ordering the wheels as they weren’t in stock; Brian was great about keeping me in the loop with ordering and delivery.
I showed up today for the install and everything went well. There was a bit of a wait because they do get very busy, but it was worth it. Brian was able to get me a deal on the TPM sensors because they were an unanticipated cost in addition to the already great pricing on wheels and tires.
If you read the reviews, you can see that customer service is their thing… and it was truly the case today. I would definitely go back because Brian was so cool and took such good care of me!

Came in to patch a leak from a screw in my tire. Brian helped me and was so nice. He could have taken advantage of the fact that im a clueless girl when it comes to this stuff, but he didnt. I was in and out in less than an hour and all fixed up! Didnt cost me a penny! They even checked the rest of my tires too… i highly recommend this place. Thanks so much brian for all your help!!! The bathroom was really nice for a tire shop, lol. I had my 3 year old with me so I was occupied while waiting, but just a little tip for the owner… you should get some cosmos or people or womens health/​shape magazines for us girly girls while we wait :)

One-​of-​a-​kind service right when I stepped through the door! I had to wait only a second before someone asked me if I needed help. I needed to change all four tires on my Toyota Yaris and they were helpful in finding the right tires and kept me informed throughout the entire process.
The representative who was assisting me (Dennis?) was very considerate and always made sure to check on me in the waiting area. He asked whether I needed to be dropped off somewhere since it’ll take around 2 hours to change my tires and fix the alignment for an extra fee. I brought study material though, so I stayed. They had an accessible restroom and tea/​coffee for those clients who were waiting and their waiting area had actual booths and tables where you could sit and wait. Apparently, adults are able to rent bicycles and bike themselves around.
When my car was ready and done, I went to pay (NOTE: Unilocal CHECK-​IN IS A $ 20 OFF A PURCHASE/​SERVICE). Even though they may be a little pricier than other places, I didn’t mind at all considering the service I got (plus, all the scary reviews from places like Walmart… I’d rather go here where they had great reviews). Dennis was super helpful when it came to giving me tips on how to get the most out of my new tires (apparently, you’re suppose to rotate your tires every 5,000 miles — I didn’t know that!). Definitely will be coming back for my tire needs.

I am impressed with the level of honesty and customer service here. After a terrible experience at the South Bay Mazda in Torrance, I came to Performance Plus and talked to Bryan. I told him that the Mazda representative told me I had a staple and a screw in my tire in a location that could not be patched, and Bryan didn’t even try to talk to me about buying a new tire before he could get someone to take a look at my car.
As it turned out, I had 4 staples and a screw in my tire, but Bryan said they would be able to patch it! He also noted that my tire still had plenty of good tread on it. South Bay Mazda was trying to pull a fast one on me, but thanks to Performance Plus, my tire is fixed, and I was able to save some money! I am so thankful that I didn’t listen to South Bay Mazda. I will be coming to Performance Plus for any and all tire-​related issues in the future. Highly recommended!
