My Bicycle

I went to my bicycle to basically get everything replaced except the frame after my bike was «long beach stripped». The owner seems like an alright guy and he definitely knows his stuff, but he sold me a «really nice» (his words) refurbished back wheel for 50 bucks, which is totally reasonable. However, I’ve ridden my bike 3 times since I got the complete overhaul, and on 2 of those rides (both only about 2 miles on smooth pavement) a spoke has broken. I’m not saying that he knowingly sold me a bad product, but if the spokes continue to pop off one by one like a pinwheel, I’m going to have to get another new back wheel to fix the bike I just spent $ 275 to fix.

Cameron is awesome! He really knows his craft! He’s worth my time -) I will always give him my business cuz he’s so fair & talented! Great Find!

Cameron is awesome! Super helpful and always has time to see what you need, even if he’s working on another bike. He doesn’t try to upsell you and always charges a fair price. This place can get busy on the weekend/​holidays so try to stop by during the week if you can.

What can I say? I am so grateful to have found this place. Cameron is amazing. He really knows his stuff. Put on a new tire for me and gave my bike mini tune up that bit so badly needed and told me what would need to be replaced in the near future. Super efficient, he offered to do the work while I waited but I opted for a half hour walk. I really appreciated his sense of urgency as I need my bike in working condition at all times and he def gets that. Oh, he’s super personable too! His shop is hip looking with reclaimed wood pieces which are my thing. Adorable dog as his greeter. I just moved too Long Beach and am discovering my «places» — thank you Cameron because now I can cross finding am amazing bike shop off my list.

Great bike shop in Long Beach! I bought my bike online and brought it into the store in a box. Cameron was able to assemble it quickly and at a fair price. He also sells other items in the store which I loved. This place is now my go-​to, thanks!

First time bike rider went in to buy a bike lock for my new bike and got way more than I expected Cameron give me the rundown on my bike what to watch out for and threw in a free light so I would be safe. You can tell he really cares which is refreshing! Will defiantly be recommending this bike shop to my friends.

I like Cameron and his cat but trying to catch him when he is in the shop or to return phone calls to make an appointment is frustrating. I live right around the corner and would love to support his small business but he just doesn’t seem to care enough to keep regular hours.

Great service, the Owner was extremely helpful and knowledgable. It’s an all service shop for bicycles from vintage to new and custom bikes as well. Will definitely return for more services and recommend the place to others.

The owner is very nice, very reasonable pricing and fast! (my girlfriend went for me, I was at work) But I talked to him on the phone and I will definitely be back for future maintenance :)

Hands down as always best bike shop around. Shop owner Goes above and beyond to make sure my bike is performing at its best. Whether I bring my cruiser in or my long distance bike i am always beyond satisfied with the work done. He is a rare breed and can’t recommend this place enough!

Been going here for a few years. It’s the only place I go for bike repair, and not just because it’s so close. Cameron is a pro, friendly, knowledgeable as all hell, and honest about what might be wrong with your bike. He’s a neighborhood fixture and a font of information about the local bike scene. Recently there have been some absurd negative reviews on here, obviously the work of competitors intent on hurting his business, even stooping to the level of personal attacks on his character and libelous statements about the bikes being stolen, etc. Hopefully, these have been taken down by the time you read this; if not, think of how absurd these accusations are, and how difficult it would be for the small businessman to combat slander and rumor on a site such as this –it’s disturbing. Anyways, if you would rather give business to someone who is honest, quick, personable, and who will continue to fight against all this ridiculous antagonism while keeping your bike in tiptop shape, then give Cameron and MyBicycle a chance. Otherwise, be a fool and go spend more at some tourist shop in Belmont Shore.

I have never seen somebody handle a bike like Cameron can. It’s so entertaining to watch him work. This afternoon, I called up my local bike shop and asked if he could help me with two bikes. He said to come on over. I’m really glad I did. He’s fast, he’s more than fair, and he’s very good.

I love this little bike shop and Cameron is the man. Like most people in LBC, my car stays parked and I ride my bike everywhere (car parking is a nightmare here). I have a classic looking cruiser that I love and ride daily. After much wear & tear it needed a new spoke, chain and complete tuneup. I brought it to Cameron and he scheduled an appointment for me. He did all the work in a day! Now it rides like butter and I won’t trust anyone else to take care of it. He’s a total pro, he’s in the neighborhood, and he’s a super nice guy.

Cameron is the coolest dude, and he cares about his customers. Speedy and well priced. Never going anywhere else.

If you have any issues with any type of bike… Cameron is your guy.
He is genuine, honest and gives you answers straight up, with whatever it is you are asking about. I bought a bike from a friend and brought it by My Bicycle, simply based off of Unilocal reviews. Trust me, I’m about as inexperienced with bikes as it gets. He advised me to get a tune-​up, and booked me for an appointment within a couple of days. I brought it back for the tune-​up, and it went from clicking and sounding like it was going to break into pieces… to riding and sounding like a new bike. He really took care of me, and told me to bring it back within a week to go over the parts he’s fixed.
If you have an old bike or need ANY tune-​ups whatsoever, I would 100% recommend bringing it here. The shop is a cute little location with some neat stuff to look at/​for sale as well.

Cameron was awesome in helping us out with our new beach cruiser — getting it ready for the road. He was very fast, efficient and friendly and we are so thrilled we have a bike shop in our neighborhood! Totally recommend his shop!!!

On the recommendation of a friend, I took my bike to My Bicycles to get a tune up. I called a couple days before to check on a good time, as his days/​hours are not posted on his website. When I got there, I explained that I needed a tune up & the tires/​tubes checked. Cameron was upfront about the cost & gave me a time to come back to pick up my bike. He completed the tune up sooner than expected, and called me to let me know the bike was ready. He charged me what he had estimated. His store is super cute and neat. You can tell he takes pride in his work. He was very friendly and easy going. I highly recommend going to My Bicycles.

Cameron was not only able to provide me with the essentials that I was looking for a lock and water bottle, he was able to give me ideas where I could enjoy my bike in Long Beach.
Watching Cameron interact with the customers and seeing the pride he takes in his work, makes me wonder why I would go anywhere else.

I have had Cameron tune up and repair two bicycles, and I’m very happy with the experience. First, he’s very helpful and upfront with costs, and there’s a shop and a shop fish, which along with Cameron’s demeanor and the décor gives the place a very cozy and welcoming vibe.
And the work is great. With one bike, he did the bottom bracket and tune up, and the shifting is now smoother than it’s ever been. With the other he took a bike that had been sitting around and rusting for a while, added missing parts, cleaned and tuned, and made it look really nice.
I happen to live within walking distance, but would recommend this place to those farther away as well.

My son and I brought his bike in about 15 minutes before the store’s closing time… Cameron greeted us warmly after seeing our two flat tires and said «I’ll have you on your way in 15 minutes»
While we were watching the repair Cameron told us that he’s been repairing bikes since his teenage years in Cerritos. Its quite evident that he loves bikes… the three custom bikes he had built from scratch served as testimony.
Cameron is also a really nice guy and that makes doing business with him a real pleasure. Whatever your bike needs are take it to Cameron. You be happy you did!
