We get all of our pet food here. They carry Taste of the Wild, which both my dog and cat love. If you like to support local businesses, this is one worth your support.

The guy that works here, (not sure if he is the owner or not), is not helpful and a complete jerk. Every time I go in there and ask a question he either completely ignores me or just says no with out elaborating anything. I have now been there twice and won’t come back because of his attitude.

I love this store. I have 3 rescue pups that are healthy as can be with the food recommended by Norm at Mr. Yetis so when I saw my foster pups were not thriving as well I went to see Norm and talk to him about the pups. We agreed to try some samples of the great food he suggested for them. Wow 3 days later and it makes all the difference in the world. Now all the sweet pups in the household are thriving. I really love this friendly local pet supply store. Good quality, grain-​free and organic pet food and treats for reasonable prices. Norm is very informative and helpful about the holistic products that they carry. And he was more than happy to share info and answer any questions I had about my pets diet.

This pet store is GREAT. I stop buy at least once a month to stock up on dog treats. OUTSTANDING customer service.

This is actually my First Review! & I had to give it to this store! Just Thursday I went in to the hospital next door to get my pups first shot. Sad to say he was throwing up and could have Parvo yes Parvo! (thank God came out Negative) Little did I know it was the food so I went in to ask a few questions.& I left with treats and some samples. My puppy right away reacted to the difference and now he is more than active!

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars because I LOVE this store!!! Holistic, grain-​free, and all natural pet food that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Really great prices actually. Marcelo, the owner is super friendly and is really knowledgeable about all the food and he caries, and even foods they don’t carry. I won’t go anywhere else for my dog food. :)

This shop is right next to my vet, so I stopped in one day to look for a toy to buy for my puppy who was getting spayed that day. They specialize in organic food products moreso than toys or supplies. The owner is super nice and chatty, so I had a good visit and first time experience. Managed to get one plush chew toy for my puppy but would return.

They only carry top quality pet food and supplys. The owner is really nice and if he doesn’t have it, he’ll order it. We’re only going here for out pets food and treats from now on.

We purchase our dog food here, and other pet supplies, and will never go anywhere else. They are a local, friendly, small business, very friendly and caring, and they have healthy choices for my dogs that we CANNOT find at the bigger corporate pet stores. We always purchase their Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers soul and this is very healthy, nature food that my dogs love! Keep up the good work!

The owner is fantastic and will help you with whatever questions you have. They help me with all my pet cat needs.

This pet store is all natural and the products are made in the USA. The owner is very sweet and so very informed. I found out a lot of the products I have been buying at the larger chains are made abroad. For instance, Happy HIps are made in China… who knew? I will think twice before buying them again.
The selection is small, but the quality of the selection makes up for it. Mr. Yeti’s carries Zignature brand dog food which I have only ever seen at a small boutique pet store in Silver Lake (Pet Express on Glendale Blvd.). I loved Zignature, but when I moved to Long Beach and went to Centinela they had never even heard of the brand. Go, Mr. Yeti — you know your pets!
The prices are very reasonable and seem to be a bit cheaper than the larger stores. This is very rare for a boutique store. Nevertheless, I’m all for it! There are also lots of samples for you to try from the brands they carry — Zignature, Taste of the Wild, etc. The cat in the store is friendly and got along with my two dogs, Calvin & Cash great. There was only one hiss from the cat, but that’s because my puppy is a bit rambunctious. The cat needed to stand his ground. There’s also a sweet turtle that belongs to Mr. Yeti’s. Very cool!
I highly recommend this place plus it’s great to shop locally and help the Long Beach economy!

Love this pet store! Marcello is amazing and so knowledgeable.
I have come to him with so many questions, and when he doesn’t know… he does research and figures it out for me.
He remembers me and the boyfriend and always asks us questions about things he remembers. Seriously FANTASTIC customer service!
All the products are great quality; he would never sell you something he wouldn’t feed his own pets.
He has also recommended us to a dog trainer, and the vet next door… both have been awesome recommendations. I would trust his word on pretty much anything relating to my dog!

Cat on a leash, Ace is the best cat ever. Jumping up to my car keys or chasing doghair that happens to float by. Marcel makes the store for me. He’s a nice guy and you just know he loves animals and people. This is a huge store when you consider, that all I buy there are two or three large bags of dog food. I like to spend money here because they thank me for my business. They’re on facebook too and I always FB ahead to make sure my dog’s food is available.

Mr. Yeti, who is this mystery man? Actually the brains behind this whole operation is a couple of dogs and owner Marcello. Mr. and Yeti are proudly displayed on a wall with their cousins.
Wifey and I have driven by the store numerous times and one day we decided to drop in. Marcello the owner greeted us and explained how he ended up starting the business. He used to be a corporate man who decided to hang his corporate jacket and venture into doing something he’s passionate about, animals. Kuddos to him for taking a risk.
The store is located in the same plaza as Long Beach Vegan Eatery. A vet’s office is also conveniently located in the same plaza as well. There’s a small parking lot. Ace the cat ready to greet you at the door. George the turtle is swimming happily in his little aquarium.
I love this small pet store. The type of food sold here is not your usual pet food store. They focus on organic, grain free and holistic foods for your cat or dog. Its great they have samples of their dog food so you can let Fido pick his fave. They also promote pet adoptions. What’s cool about this store? They deliver! Love it!!!

Great place. Small (tiny really) business with friendly, knowledgeable staff and REALLY good prices.
Since bulldogs have a lot of food sensitivities, we feed ours a grain-​free brand called Taste of the Wild. She LOVES it.
There’s also all-​natural treats and a small selection of harnesses, collars, pet IDs, etc. Again, all at really fair prices.
After only being a couple of times, I’ll be a loyal customer for a long time.

Small business Saturday 2012 review #1
This is my new neighborhood pet supply/​dog food shop. They sell brands which are not widely advertised, but better than the average commercial brand at a good price with great service.
I am lucky enough to own two large dogs so I spend more on dog food than I do groceries. No joke. I won’t feed them cheap food because cutting the costs on their food means buying stuff that’s just not as good for them (and that means higher vet bills later). After spending thousands on the best brands at Petco, I found this store after visiting a nearby vegan restaurant.
The employees are all very nice, (like they carry the bag out to your car without you having to ask). The prices are better than comparable foods at most other shops and it’s nice shopping at a store with people who really seem to care about animals. They also offer free delivery in Signal Hill and Long Beach, which is super awesome.
They don’t sell pets, but they do periodically participate in pet adoptions, so you know they aren’t supporting unscrupulous breeders. They do have a couple of store pets though. They sell food, treats, toys and other accessories.

I love this place! I’ve been coming here since the place opened. The owners are very nice and helpful. I have three dogs a rabbit and can pretty much get everything I need for them from here.
Its a nice little store and they’re always trying to add more products. I love that since I found some great new stuff for my aging baby girl.
This place is great if you want to give your pets healthy food without all the fillers and junk many brands have.

Score a point for the little guys! This cool little store has all the of the hard to find HEALTHY pet foods at prices lower than the big guys.
Not sure why it is so low, but I am not complaining. You need to look hard or you can easily drive right by it off of Lakewood Blvd and Stearns but once you are there you will be very happy with the selection of good eats and treats for your loved ones. It is like a Trader Joes for animals. The staff was very kind and informed (Thank you Marcello) and they even have a couple of parakeets as there sound system… Nice!
