I am so grateful to have found Lucambio BJJ. We started our 5 year old son in the kids Jiu jitsu classes and plan on sending the rest of our boys once they are older. Harold is amazing with the kids and teaches them respect for themselves, others & their surroundings. I have seen huge changes in my kids and am so thankful to have found a place & instructor who truly care about them.

I started training here a couple of years ago and all I can say is, if you are thinking of starting Jiu Jitsu or want to get into some boot camp classes then try this place first.
When I first decided that I wanted to start training I was worried about what I think most people worry about and that’s, am I gonna have to fight or am I going to be having to deal with a bunch of ego maniac guys who are going to try to hurt me. Well I can tell you with full confidence that that is not how this gym is. Harold has created a fun, safe and very very well taught and informed program for Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and his boot camp classes and as for the other members of the gym, you really couldn’t ask for nicer guys and girls. Everyone in there is quick to help teach and share what they know or have learned to help you along. Everyone has a safety first attitude and this helps even more to really maximize the training and implementation of what Harold teaches.
Harold is amazing he is a gifted Jiu Jitsu artist who has trained with the very best in the world and it shows. He is an amazing teacher who truly lives and loves Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai. He has a very traditional approach and commands a respect for himself, the gym and the history of BJJ. While at the same time making you feel at home and at ease while in his classes. He is meticulous with his teaching and stresses good fundamentals while giving you things to challenge you and make you grow. I really can’t say enough about Harold as a instructor or as a person he is committed, helpful and humble.
I also have a son and daughter who have attended Harold kids class and it has really helped my kids grow in maturity and discipline. As awesome as Harold is with the adults he is just as great with the kids if not better. He has two young children of his own that attend the classes and the kids love it. He teaches them respect for themselves others and adults.
I really could go on and on so I’ll just end by saying that if you are considering BJJ for yourself or you’re kids, our maybe your just looking to get back in shape, You would be doing yourself a favor by stopping by this gym first. I been training here for the last year and I felt in love with this place. First, the intructor is amazing. He is very good explaining the techniques over and over, even if do not get it in English he will explain in spanish. The people is very nice to work with. to come here is like coming to your second family, second home. Every time I come I love it more and more. Thanks lucambio bjj for giving me such a great opportunity to become a better person and as a women to feel confident about myself.

This studio is perfect for my kids and husband too! Our instructor is their friend, their mentor, their coach and their leader. My boys’ Jiu Jitsu skills have improved beyond my wildest dreams. It’s a family gym full of love and kind instruction. From novice to expert, they can accommodate all skill levels and ages. Boot Camp, Thai Boxing, Jiu Jitsu or Weight Training — it’s no wonder my family is in great shape!

A close friend of mine was training here so I decided to give it a try. The BJJ program is awesome. Harold, the Black Belt has a great style of teaching and everyone leaves their ego at the door. I train Mon, Wed and Fri for two sessions as I drive 25 minutes past 6 other gyms because I feel like Family here. Thanks LBJJ :)

This is one great place to get your workout on! I come to the morning boot camps and feel the burn!!! I also love the family atmosphere and push that the trainers offer. So… If you want to tone up quick and get some amazing energy come to LBJJ!

The boot camp classes are kick a**! I’ve be going for a few weeks now & feel fantastic! Both Therese & Harold are great teachers… encouraging & tough. I recommend it for anyone who wants to sweat & burn some major calories! Boom!

I have been attending boot camp classes here for a year and a half. I am in the best shape of my life thanks to Harold and Therese. Since starting at Lucambio BJJ I have now adopted a healthy lifestyle and am totally addicted to working out. No matter how tired I am or how bad of a day I’ve had, I go to boot camp and leave it all on the mat, leaving there feeling awesome! The workouts kick your butt and are never the same. Harold and Therese are so friendly, family oriented and truly care about you achieving your fitness goals. I can’t thank them enough for all of their motivation and dedication.

I love this place. I train at least 4 – 5 days a week. Harold is great with Jiujitsu beginner and his wife Teresa is awesome with boot camp. Mon. Tues. Friday. Jiujitsu. Tuesday Thursday boot camp. Awesome workout and great for the kids at all ages. A nice slow and fast pace training.

A friend told me about this Training Studio awhile back and I finally dragged myself in here to face my guilty work out demons. I cannot express how happy I am that I did! Harold (head instructor) greeted me the first day with a smile and very motivating concern for my fitness goals, I instantly saw that this guy is intense about his, yours and anyone’s personal fitness levels. I have been to a number of studios like this one and never written a review but this time the review is well earned! Harold took me through my first workout and seeings how I’d let myself go for sometime it was only a few minutes before I was reeling with that nauseous feeling we all get when we first go back to a good hard workout! He coached, encouraged and motivated me to push thru the hour. At the end I was exhausted but deep down I’d accomplished my goal of returning to a hard but satisfying workout that «I earned!».
I have continued to return, but was soooo sore for about a week and a half, after that first workout. The soreness dulled, (but definitely hasn’t gone away mind you). As I tend to push hard on my workouts and Harold is always finding ways to train different body muscle groups! He’s painfully good at it! You provide some dedication and he or Theresa (Instructor) will lead you to your own personal next level!!!
The things I’ve observed about this Training Studio is that not only Harold but Theresa have a strong rapport with Families. With a strong emphasis on Women and Children. I’ve seen pre and post pregnant women training pretty much up to their due date and returning shortly after their babies are born to start training again. The workouts are as intense as u make them and are geared/​designed to the beginner or the person who is in competition form and actively competing! Ive seen people in the studio at all levels. Whether they are there to have a good time (as some days you just want to go through the motions, «aka: your just not feeling it» but wanna workout). All the way to those that push it to the puke level!!! Harold keeps buckets, mops and towels at the ready for you hard chargers!!! This reviewer has been to a few studios and I say if Your tempted to get off your butt, Begin that delayed promise to yourself of getting fit, or Renewing that «NEW YEARS» resolution. THIS IS THE PLACE TO START!!! Just do it!!!
