I should say I use to love this little liquor store! You could buy decent wine they, little bottles of fancy liquor! My husband who is disabled parked his car in front of the liquor stores disabled parking in which the business shares with other businesses. As we walked out towards where we were going the man who owns the place I assume came out and confronted us. He asked«how are you disabled and walking?!» He also said that spot was owned by him and we couldn’t park there. We called the LBPD who stated its a civil matter since its private property. The owner kept yelling what disability do you have you can walk?! My spouse has a limp and walks with a can and was asked to prove his disability to this owner. And refused to look at the appropriate notification of disabled parking my husband carries with Sharing this story with anyone who will listen. Your harassment of a disabled person who can legally park with the placard we had… asking to prove their disability or asking them about confidential matters is none of your business!

It’s a liquor store. It has all the things a liquor store should, and the clerks are nice. Plus, it’s right next to my house. That makes it the best liquor store in the world.

.., this spot is down the st. from my gf’s place & I love it. They have a great selection of beers from Fat Tires’, Peroni’s, Hemp Ale, Rolling Rock, Longboard, etc. Better than any 7-Eleven or AM/PM w/nothing but Bud Lights & Coors. Not that those are bad, but a real beer drinker wants to see & taste more variety. I’ve gotten Gatorade, chips, ice cream, bottles of Captain, Sailor Jerry, random etc. It’s a liquor store, you get the gist. Friendly service, decent prices. Check em’ out!

This place is AWESOME! Great selection of almost everything under the sun at truly reasonable prices. A true«convenience store». Run by a friendly family that always greets their customers with a smile and remembers the regulars by name. Seriously LOVE Loma :)

This place has saved me several times… butter,(of course you would expect them to have it), lemons, limes, bananas… Ginger ale. one morning when I was extremely hungover, tin foil(good tin foil too Reynolds Wrap), the list could go on… They also have a surprisingly good«fancy» beer selection. The people that work there are friendly as well. Conveniently located and they have a random bouillabaisse of everything that you would seem to need.

Quick & Dirty: A corner store that’s open late, has essentials, near my house, doesn’t rape you, and has a big cool old school neon sign. nice. Long & Late Nite: I never like it when people spell Night NITE. It bugs the $hit out of me so I don’t know why I just did that. I’m having a hard time controlling my obsessive compulsive controlling issues by just jumping the cursor up there right now and changing it to NIGHT, with the correct spelling, but I won’t because my laziness overcomes all compulsive behavior. Anyway, I think I was writing a liquor store review wasn’t I? This place serves many purposes. One of them is that when I’m doing laundry at the«F@#k and Fold» next door and I forget laundry detergent at home(3 Blocks Away), I will go here and buy a new bottle. Like I said, I can be lazy. This place also serves another purpose, change. The F&F next door only takes quarters and they have a change machine but being the high roller that I am and only having 20’s, I will go into Loma Liquor and buy a water or soda or whatever and break the bill to smaller bills because the change machine back over at F&F only takes 1’s, 5’s, &10’s. Another purpose Loma Liquor serves is knowing where the hell I am. You see, they were smart when naming this place seeing as it is located on Loma Ave. they named it accordingly So if I am driving east to west on ANY street and I see Loma, I know that this store is down off Broadway and I know where I am at. Sounds really lame, but it’s true. Loma Liquor also has THE coolest neon sign in Long Beach as far as I’m concerned, and it is always well lit and there are never any lights out. It’s an old school neon sign that has been really well preserved. I want to make a picture book of neon signs and put this one in it. Long Beach has really cool signs, ever noticed? Last purpose this place has is essential. They have all the basics that you need in case you run out, like TP, Kleenex, Paper Towels, Beer, Soda, Cheetos, Gum, Lotto, Laundry Detergent, blah blah blah and on and on. It’s great if you are too lazy to go the extra block to Vons or Ralphs. Would I go here again? What do you think? Should you go here? Sure, just look for the cool neon sign. Until Next Time, Sam

At $ 3.99 a six-pack, is there a cheaper way to time-travel? No, friends, I don’t mean the charming alcohol-induced euphoria that makes tomorrow become today and makes mistakes disappear. I mean the kind triggered by the low punch of a screwdriver piercing the golden finish on the champagne of beers, instantly taking you back to a simpler time. A time when your roommate didn’t make out with all your friends and you weren’t home alone with her cat, shotgunning 16-ounce beers on your porch – alone – fantasizing about a crudely drawn lady in a sombrero riding sidesaddle on a crescent moon.

I don’t know how many times I’ve been drinking at The Ocho and happen to run out of something and then had to walk drunk to Loma. Thankfully it’s right down the street, but trying to cross Redondo & Broadway squinting and with three other drunk friends can be quite interesting. Reasons I like Loma: 1. It’s so close. 2. Reasonably priced liquor. 3. Very helpful staff. 4. They have an ATM if I need cash. 5. You can actually take a single can of soda from a 6-pack if you want to. That last one I think makes this place cooler than most. Hopefully I’ll be stumbling to-and-fro Loma this weekend :)

This is the only«quick-stop» liquor and convenience store to go to on the Broadway corridor. Their prices are fair, they have everything(except fountain sodas), they’re quick, efficient, friendly, and the mostly asian staff speaks english! Parking is good, a fair selection of beers and ales, and a wall of liquor! What more could you need!!?

My liquor store. They have a pretty decent beer selection here(Stone Ruination IPA, anyone?) and very fair prices. My husband and I have a ritual involving this place and the laundromat 2 doors down(which is the best laundry ever, if you’re wondering). The guys who work there always know its«laundry night» and know to put our beers in separate paper bags for us. Plus, their prices on things like laundry detergent and bleach are reasonably low considering it’s a liquor store next to a laundry. And I almost always seem to run out of something like that. Not worth traveling a distance to, but if you live in the neighborhood and need some beer or hooch, it’s worth a stop.

For years, this was my local liquor store. It was like my convenience store and grocery store all in one. I lived across the street and was able to do all of my business within a 2 block radius on Broadway, from eating to drinking to laundry to pet care to coffee to shopping. Loma Liquor is just a simple liquor store but it seems to have everything you need, just when you need it.
