I go here quite a bit since it is the closest store to my house. The beer selection is mediocre at best. Plenty of macrobrew(my new favorite word) with reasonable prices by liquor store standards but some stuff is a bit overpriced. They have a great selection of liquor in every size bottle. Some bottles are better deals than others so if you aren’t picky, you can find something reasonably priced. Looks like a pretty good selection of wine but I don’t dabble with that. The family that own it are super nice. The only negative I have is finding a few expired items on the shelves. I’d rather go here than holden’s on 4th/Redondo unless you want bombers of microbrew. 3 stars because it’s you’re average liquor store.

This is not a true liquor store. 7 – 11 has a better selection of beers. This is just another corner store that happens to carry Budweiser and Jack Daniels. I have attempted to shop here twice and ended up walking out simply out of lack of selection. I find it frustrating to think your entering a specialty store, which is what the term«liquor store» leads me to believe, and finding nothing special. Thats like walking into a store that says bike shop on the front, only to find they sell mostly clothing and have only one or two brands of bikes. Call it what it is, a connivence store.

Casey’s is a pretty decent liquor store. There really isn’t anything that stands out as extremely positive or negative. Parking s a cinch because there aren’t any high demand businesses in the strip mall. I have been in Casey’s a few times for ice. I can’t really remember going in with a mission to find any certain liquor at all. The store has a pretty random grocery section that includes some cheap, fun items that you would NEVER expect to see in a liquor store, like hair curlers. When you own a liquor store, I am sure that there are no unusual requests from us patrons and the fact that they have hair curlers tells me that somebody at one time asked if there were any in stock. I totally recommend them for ice, they have never been out of stock. I would not recommend going there for THE winning lottery ticket, they have not sold me one yet.

You can find me here 2 – 3 times a week(sometimes 4 – 5 times if there’s a need for beer and or munchies), as it’s my neighborhood liquor store. Things to like : The family who runs it are super nice. Beer selection is decent but their hard liquor racks behind the counter will blow you away! Although I’m not a wine enthusiast, their wine selection seems to be pretty extensive. The selection for pretty much everything known for being in a liquor store is good… as well as the odd«knick-knacks» located along the side wall near the extended counter, which really comes in handy when you loose your wallet and need a quick fix that comes in the form of a cheep plastic thing that says«Get The Funk Out» in cheesy 70’s lettering. Things I don’t like(which prevents Casey’s from getting 5 stars) : On a lot of their Hostess Snacks like Ho-Ho’s and Twinkies, they often times put a price tag over the expiration date in order to prevent their customers from finding out that the product that they are buying has expired a few weeks ago… this happens quite a bit with stuff here, so BEWARE!

I’ve been by Casey’s too many times to count. Even used a photograph of the two cowboys in a photo project( ), but never have I stepped inside. I suppose it’s because I have Loma Liquor just a short walk from The Ocho. Well I don’t recall what led us… oh wait… yes I do. I’ve spare you that story. Let’s just say that we found the Ralph’s. Okay, so we stopped inside to pick up a couple bottles of this and that as well as some ice. Just so happens we run into a couple of friends of ours, had a little chat and then went on our way… sorry… that’s all I have. Their selection of liquor, beer, etc. Appeared to be pretty good. Couldn’t tell you the prices compared to Loma as I only got beer. Also I think they have P.O. Boxes up near the front of the store. Strange.
