L & T Nails

Nasty ass place! Nail polishes are old and clumpy. They charge extra to use a «good polish» (not the gel type) when its free at any other nail salon. They rushed my mom’s pedicure and mines we pointed out the cuticles sticking out and they got pissed. Horrible job will not be back. I could of done a better job myself.

Not quite sure what just happened. I walked in and was told there was a 5 minute wait, I sat… waited…after a bit I asked if they were ready and yelling insued amongst the staff. Someone yelled there was a 30 minute wait. I went back to the reception desk for clarification and an older gentlemen started gesturing wildly then shouted that they wouldn’t do my nails — — that I should go elsewhere. I asked for a reason and he only repeated that I should go elsewhere.
What a bizarre and rude bunch of people.

They are HORRIBLE !! they don’t communicated with u mm they so rude and also they always talk on their language and that’s so disrespectful cuz I know we feel like they talking smack bout customer I got into with one of the ladies there and the manager got pist off i think he was the manager DONT GO THERE!

I used to come here a lot when I was in high school (many moons ago!) and they always did a great job. When my best friend since elementary school suggested we come here for our mani/​pedis while I visit my family in California, I was excited. Another trip down memory lane! Ugh, but I was very disappointed today. The place isn’t clean, the nail polishes are old and the workers talk a lot and don’t seem to care if they offend you.
The technician (can I even call her that?) that worked on my nails didn’t seem to want to be there. (After she finished my nails she couldn’t get to whatever it was she was eating fast enough!) After she hastily did my gel set, she ran the polish 4 times but didn’t seem to notice the clumps of gel around my nail bed. While I was waiting for my pedi to dry, I took closer look at my hands, out of her scrutinizing glare, and it just looked awful. When I asked her to fix the gel clumps and file rough edges on my nails, she came over huffing and puffing.
One of the main reasons I wanted to go to L&T besides the fact that it took me back to my young adulthood, are the prices. But I will say, their prices might be lowered because that’s the only way they can trick people into going into their business. My mani and pedi look terrible. But thankfully they won’t last a long time.
In summation — The service is TERRIBLE, the polish options are ok but they’re old, the chairs are falling apart, the «technicians» are rude and unprofessional and I’m not sure how well they sanitize their tools. Save your money and go somewhere else!

They’re alright. They’re always rushing, nails can come out better if they took their time.

I used to go to this place for years and they used to do a decent job but the last few experiences I had were bad, to begin with the workers are rude, they don’t throw in effort to their job and so a sloppy one, they use the same dirty towels on people’s feet my mom got fungus after she came here. My nails usually come off crooked and when I told the worker she seemed kind of mad and started talking smack about me in their language to the other worker and they kept starring at me, not only that their variety of colors suck I’ve been seeing the same ones for the past three years luckily I’m done being their client. The service sucks real talk.

I wish I can give them no stars for the stunt they pulled on me yesterday. So, since I moved to long beach I’ve been going to this nail shop. My toes caught a fungus because they don’t sterilize their utensils properly, yet I let that go. My nails started healing after a while, I went back only for the old lady to rush my nails and I didn’t notice until I got to Miami which causes the fungus to come back. Well yesterday I went to get my nails done and when the woman was done, clear as day I heard this one lady told the other she is gonna get fungus on her nails that’s why she doesn’t touch me, the woman doing my nail showed her that she had gloves on and they started laughing crowded each other looking at my feet, no big deal I love my toes, but it’s caused as a result of their carelessness. Whenever I go here I ask for a clean brush for them to scrub my feet and ask that they sterilize everything, and every time I ask they make it a big deal.
Yesterday I had enough I tip them well I pay extra for everything. No I’m done I love the lady who shape my nails, but enough is enough, they don’t even wash their hands between customers. Horrible and half of their products are not safe, yes I was there when they had inspection 2 weeks ago. I’m over this nail shop, time to move. Nasty very nasty.

Okay so I have only been here once. Susan did my nails, and she was great but this place looks so disgusting inside. I just can’t go anywhere where I feel like I’m going to catch a fungus or something. This place looked like a dirty sweat shop. The towel that I had to put my feet on during the pedicure was bright yellow and looked dirty. I should have walked out. The whole place just looked dirty. Idk I prefer a pretty, relaxing atmosphere. You won’t get that here ladies. The two stars are for Susan, she was very nice and helpful. Needless to say, I will not be going back.

Helen did a great job on my toes Ro was great with my daughter and Susan was fantastic but the women who did my nails was horrible she hurt my hands my nails are crooked and uneven it was horrible I have go back tommorrow to have Susan fix them

I really like my nails buuuut, the lady was really rough and not making convo and was talking to her Co worker, completely stopped what she was doing every time. Other than that it was fine.

I was in desperate need of a pedicure, and I wasn’t in the mood to spa it up and spend the usual 50+ $ on one so I opened up my trustee Unilocal app to see what was near me.
I came across L&T Nail Salon down the way from me in Long Beach. I was a bit skeptical and reluctant at first, because of the low rating and not so good reviews, but I decided to Unilocal it out for myself. :)
It’s not the most elegantly decorated place, and it’s full of colorful loud people, but it’s the biggest nail shop that I’ve ever been to, and there was absolutely no wait (I get so sick of the promise of a 10 min wait that turns out to be 40 or more… y’all know what I’m talking about! :)) Anyway, I was seated so fast that I neglected to look at the price menu, but the nice girl who helped me quickly broke down all my services for a grand total of $ 35!!! I received a gel pedicure $ 21, with old gel removal $ 2, callous removal $ 5 and a basic manicure $ 7!!! FYI… they also have a $ 20 regular mani/​pedi special!
Long review short… Is it an upscale or even slightly resembles a spa experience salon… no, but is it a good service salon at a great price… yes! When I just need a decent service for low $ I will definitely return to L&T Nail Salon.

My boyfriend took me here and we both got a mani pedi. It may not be the fanciest but it is inexpensive and there was no wait and they do a decent job. Only thing is that I would suggest that the owner vacuum more often.

Been going there 10 yes plus… Id went to Long for many years who was excellent with pedicures and designs, after she left started going to Phong… My beginning experience was awesome until she started getting lots of customers… Work got sloppy, gel manicure and pedicures where horrible, always had to go back in a week due to chipping gel on my nails… I’ve found a new place AP nails on 7^th st, and I love them!!! Very professional and awesome work!!! I will never go back to L&T you pay for what you get

I love L & T I’ve been going every since they opened. Their prices are very reasonable. I am a regular I like everyone in there. I have never had no bad experience my fav for eyebrows and nails is Susan. She’s very good! But she always has customers waiting. I also like tanisha (the owner) and JoAnn. I would give them 5 stars if they made appts. Sometimes they are very busy so don’t go if your in a rush.

Went for my first time and my experience was great, I waited for like 10 min but the lady kept assuring me that I will be helped shortly.
I’ve never gotten acrylic nails ever but I wanted some. The lady I had was shocked because she said I already had beautiful nails. We made so small talk and she told me that she can do gell too for a total of 26.
I picked a light pink, and wanted it square cut and just a little narrow.
They didn’t cut my cuticles or anything but I guess it want needed.
When you walk in they will ask what you want and automatically say «want pedicure too??»
Overall they are super cheap and well done.

I’ve been coming here since I was 14. I have stopped coming here because since the move, there customer service has deteriorated and prices had gone up. I just stopped by for a pedi and wish I hadn’t. I will never come back

This is my usual spot for a basic manicure I will never again get a pedicure the girls are too rough and always cut me but I’ve never had a problem with my hands
they even have the color changing nail polish even though I had to repeat myself a couple times since she didn’t seem to understand me until I pointed to the banner lol
Business must be good if they were able to expand to a huge place

If i can give 0 stars i would don’t waste your money here. It use to be small & i use to love getting pampered here but today just reminded me how much i hate this place & why i stop coming. They don’t put the time to actually paint your nails they rush into everything they do.

I have been going to L & T Nails on and off for years. I haven’t been a ‘regular’ until recently. I get the mani and pedi gel nails and designs. Although it takes a while to get gel polish off, I love the gel because there’s no chipping or fading. I wash my hands alot so it’s important to me that my cuteness lasts. Lol.
I HIGHLY recommend Donna for your nails, and Nu for your pedi. Both are sweet, patient, excellent, and professional. Donna is great because she has never hurt me. Never a knick or cut, but does an awesome job. When we were last there, one of the male technicians did a less than stellar job on my daughter’s nails. Donna got up, after my mani and repaired my daughter’s nails without me even asking!!! And Nu is just brilliant. Never any pain, never rushes me, and always does an excellent job. I tip them both with the GRANDE love.
If your nails are busted, and your feet are the nastiest, crustiest, most shameful parts of your body… you better head on down and see Donna and Nu!!! Mind you, that’s not the case for ME… but I’m just trying to help out those of you that can identify with that. Lolol. The shop even does eyebrows and eyelashes. But if you give my girls your business, you better get your tip together! If you’re a cheap tipper, don’t you dare go in there looking for my girls. Skip my recommendation if your a miser with your cash. Ain’t nobody got time to deal with your foolishness if your tip isn’t good! Donna and Nu give the best, and deserve the best. Ki_​Loco approved. Nuff said. ;)

I went to get my nails done yesterday. YESTERDAY.
I just asked for a manicure and I chose a dark blue nail polish.
The lady they had assigned to me spoke absolutley NO ENGLISH.
My nail polish has ALREADY CHIPPED. it literally hasn’t even been 24 hours.
It was $ 7 and even for that I don’t feel I got what I paid for even.
I’ve tried to stay away from this place because it just seems like a «quick in and out for your money» sort of place but it’s only two blocks from my place. never again!
I would’nt trust them with acrylics or gel if this is was happens with a regular manicure.
The place itself even looks run down even though they have expanded tremendously in the past 2 years.
