Looks and reviews are deceiving. Inviting, flexible and seemingly skilled and professional. You would think you are good hands and your best interests are being minded. Not true.
I came here because of the positive reviews but deeply regret doing so. I had came in knowing I might need a root canal because of the familiar pain. Root canal confirmed, the cost of procedure and related services needed begin to skyrocket (despite having insurance) and multiply. Constant questioning is the only thing I think saved me from paying far more than I should. I was discouraged from talking with my insurance company over charges. It felt like a big racket. Even the referral to an endodontist was bad and shady. I passed on their referral used an endodontist I had past success with. I completed my root canal treatment and crown with this office a year ago, NEVER to darken their door again. Since then, I have had problem with that tooth and only that tooth. I felt I should write a review to warn others. My conscience was nagging because if I had seen such a review as mine, I would have tried another dentist.

Dr. Gary Trombatore is the best, and he is the only dentist I will see, period… A very kind and caring soul. Thank you Dr. Gary. I just wish he had more availability. The staff there is great as well.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I was hoping to have a positive experience here because I didn’t see negative comments on Unilocal.WRONG!!! I went in to have a regular teeth cleaning. The lady who provided service recommended I get a deep cleaning for over $ 900 and I told her I would think about it, then she attempted to do some sort of «cleaning» on my teeth for about 5 minutes. At no point in time did the lady ever tell me she was going to be doing any service that day that was not part of the regular cleaning.
As I got to the front desk, I was charged $ 40 for 5 minutes of some sort of «cleaning» that was done. I was confused because I came in for a regular teeth cleaning that is covered for free with my dental plan and I am now getting billed for something I didn’t ask for. They apologized for the mistake after they realized I wasn’t informed of what happened. I was also told I would receive a call from them the next day to get a quote on a final price for a deep cleaning if I decided to get it.
Of course they didn’t call until weeks later with a quote. I informed them that I was unable to make an appointment anymore because I was relocating and leaving my job and would no longer have insurance after the end of the month. She told me there was just a cancellation and she could schedule me in the same week, right at the end of the month. The day of the appointment, I got a flat tire. Because it was going to be 1 hour 30 minute drive to Long Beach, I didn’t think I would make it in time. It’s a long drive to go and then get turned away because of being late. I informed someone at the office I would like to cancel my appointment to give someone else a chance to possibly come in who is local. Unfortunately, shortly after I received a call that my dad was in the emergency room so I went to the hospital as soon as I got my car back to driving.
Then I see there is a bill in the mail for $ 40 for a missed appointment! Seriously??? I was given the appointment last minute and now being billed for not coming. When I called to get clarification on why I’m receiving a bill, I’m met with rude comments and insults to my ability to comprehend why I keep getting charged. I understand very well that this office will look for every opportunity to hustle money out of their patients. I didn’t even write about my first day experience coming here. I should have never come back.
I ended up going somewhere else to get a deep cleaning for $ 250 without insurance! They were super professional and there was no questionable charges because the charges were outlined BEFORE any work was done. I learned my lesson!

Dr Abedini is a wonderful Doctor to work with, I have had great experiences. His Oral Surgeon and Endodontist are very well trained and experienced and its a pleasure working with the staff. Best part of all he is was in network for the insurance plan I have.

Anyone who has had HMO vs. PPO knows how hard it is to find a really good dentist with HMO thanks to Unilocal I found Dr. Trombatore and have to relay how awesome his office is. Dr. Trambatore is top notch, office is professional, front desk staff is great and overall a dental experience other offices should learn from.
Highly recommended!

Finally, after three years, I have a dentist. I can go here, get xrays and a cleaning, and not get a $ 1200 up-​sell for stuff they may have heard about at a dental convention to try to sell!

Not closed. Don’t know why it says so. My wife sees Dr. Trombatorre and is very happy with his work. I see Dr. Abedini and am likewise very happy with the quality of work (I’ve had a lot) done by Dr. Abedini. He is professional, friendly, and skilled.
