We specialize in Landscape Architecture and Planning, with a focus on sustainability and water conservation. JDC/LA has a diverse client base, with projects including new parks and park renovations, mixed use developments, master planning for both Public and Private spaces, residences, institutions and more, as well as our work in Public Art. A few of our recently completed projects include Master Planning for the Promenade in Long Beach which included three city blocks and two small parks downtown with significant Public Artwork, a Landscape Renovation for Alverno HS in Sierra Madre, and Fox and Laurel Park, a new pocket park in Los Angeles.

Mr. Cicchetti began his career as a designer and senior landscape architect for firms that included: POD, Inc., Wallace, Roberts and Todd, and Takata Associates. During this time he worked on numerous urban design plans and feasibility studies such as the LAX North side commercial feasibility study, and Lakewood Civic Center Master Plan. His recreation experience, during this time, included renovation of many existing park sites and design of the 200 acre, CPRS award winning Kenny Hahn State Recreation Area.
Following this period, Mr. Cicchetti worked as principal in charge of design for S. Roy Kato Associates where the focus was on retail, office and high density urban residential projects.
In 1987 Mr. Cicchetti established his own practice. Since that time he has broadened his background in community planning, urban design, recreation planning and design, public art environments, interpretive programs, and educational facilities.
He currently teaches in the Rec. Dept. at CSULB
