We are getting older and can no longer tolerate white bread, potato chips and ho ho’s. The products taste great and we actually feel better after eating them. We highly recommend these products.

Island Girl Bakes sets up at the Open Air Market in La Jolla on Sundays. She offers some excellent gluten free breads, but what she does that blows my hair back is her Almond Energy Bars(they are the pinkish labelled one in the photos)…they are excellent. They have brown rice cereal base with almonds, almond butter, coconut and cranberries, and half of a bar makes a great light breakfast or post workout food supplement with some almond or soy milk. They are light, have a buttery flavor and an excellent texture. They are a bit expensive at $ 5.25 or so, but they are hand made, and that takes time, and the ingredients are costly. Try one of the products, and see what you think for yourself!

Everything Alicia makes is gold. And, she’s super sweet and really believes in what she does.

My family loves Island Girl Bakes gluten free breads! They are light and flavorful and made with organic ingredients. My two little girls love her banana bread and pumpkin bread. We enjoy seeing Alicia at the Tuesday farmer’s market in Long Beach every week! She is such a ray of sunshine!
