Hair By Dionne Marie

I hadn’t had a chance to write a review on my last cut and color by Dionne and I’m really looking forward to my next appointment. My first appointment with Dionne I was soooo pleased. I had a few things going on with my hair. (I’m naturally mousy brown and usually get highlights. I had various shades of brown, blonde, gold, auburn… I could never find a colorist that would do what I wanted, which was make the low lights consistent from my roots to my ends and give me great highlights. At first the over all tone was a little darker than I thought I wanted… because I went there thinking make me blonde! but she told me the low lights are going to fade. And that’s exactly what happened. It faded to exactly what I wanted. She listened to my issues with the inconsistent low light colors going on and FIXED IT. A year later it hasnt faded to the bronze red/​orange underlying base. Not only did she give me exactly what I wanted with the color, I was equally impressed with how she cut my hair.

I love Dionne. She aims to please and does whatever she can to make sure i have the haircut that i came in for. She loves what she does and becomes more excited than I am about my new hairstyle. I always bring pictures that I found on pinterest to relay to her the haircut that I want and she does her best to replicate it. She’ll then check in with me multiple times during the haircut to make sure the cut is going in the direction that I want. She’ll check in with me to make sure the length is exactly what i want. Dionne does her best to please the customer no matter how long it takes. I love Dionne’s enthusiasm and her meticulousness. She’s daring and i’ve got nothing but compliments every time i’ve gotten my hair cut by her. I recently went to her to get a pixie bob after sporting a bob (a la Dionne) and getting tons of compliments for that cut. I was in shock because i have a hard time adjusting to change (don’t ask me why i decide to go for drastic haircuts) but i have received nothing but glowing compliments about my hair. Now that the shock has worn off, i love my hair. I will go to nobody else to get my hair cut by Dionne. She really is the best and she’s fabulous!

I just had an amazing experience with stylist Dionne. She is experienced… has been a stylist for 20 years… Gifted, and really nice. I am so particular about my hair being cut a certain way and she listened and did such an excellent job. I had a great conversation with her and loved her positive energy.
When she finished the cut, which was a long Bob, she styled it perfectly and then touched it up to make it sleek and immaculate. I highly recommend her to anyone but if you are someone who is picky about your hair, you will leave her chair feeling like a new person. She also uses only the best products on your hair and is extremely professional.
The salon is great as it faces 2^nd street in Long Beach and is adjoining a beauty supply store with some great products! Parking is tricky but available on the street for free or metered in a lot around the corner from the salon or on 2^nd street. I believe Dionne charges around $ 55.00, which is extremely reasonable for the quality of service you will receive. I have paid much more for much less before! There is a readily available stock of magazines if you prefer to browse through while getting a cut. Dionne also does color for those wanting a cut and color in one stop.

Dionne is amazing! I am very particular and very picky about my hair, she did an amazing job. I was very relax about putting my hair in her hands she knows her stuff! Dionne is very friendly & very personable, she definitely is a high-​class hair stylist and she knows her stuff! I call her my hair angel ;) I get compliments everyday about my hair, you won’t go wrong by having Dionne do your hair!

LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair! Dionne is really great and understanding what I’m going for and explains what she’s doing so there are no surprises– hard to find in a hairstylist. Dionne is honest with what my hair is capable of too and I love knowing what to expect. I’m usually kind of a control freak so it’s hard to trust someone with something like your hair. I love that I can relax and dont have to worry. Every time I leave 2^nd Street Beauty I feel amazing. Much thanks and high regards to this salon and stylist!
