East Coast Bagel Co has been a consistent go to for me when I’m wanting a good warm bagel in the morning before work. It’s conveniently located right off 7th street &PCH. They open at 5:30am which helps for the early morning worker like myself. They have a great variety of bagels to choose from, so you’ll almost surely get what you’re looking for. They also have various pastries, muffins and croissants if you’re in the mood for something other than a bagel. I usually get a breakfast bagel, with egg and bacon. Its not too bad, although could use more bacon, but I’m one that is big on the bacon. It’s made while you wait. My preference lately is the onion bagel with cream cheese. It’s always warm and fresh, with good onion flavor. They have a few choices of cream cheese to choose from, including plain, jalapeño, and berry cream cheese. The coffee is always fresh as well. If you’re an early riser and looking for a decent breakfast East Coast is a definite plus!

Throughout my four-year stint at a nearby university I’ve gone to East Coast Bagel Co. when I’m in a rush to get to class. I love that they apply a not-so-thick spread of cream cheese and that they cut the bagel for you, then wrap it up in paper if it’s to go. I love my cream cheese but I hate messy eating(I’m looking at you Starbucks.) The people who work here are very nice. Try the coffee, it’s much tastier than Dunkin’ Donuts down the street. My favorites are the flavored ones, most notably, Hawaiian Hazelnut and Vanilla Nut. The coffee is a serve yourself set-up so you can adjust for sweetness and creaminess accordingly.

Quick service, delicious bagel sandwiches every time! Nice variety of coffees and sometimes I like to buy a tub of flavored cream cheese to use at home.

Yum! Bagel sandwiches and tasty coffee here. I currently live close and stop here before work. I get a tasty bagel sandwich and a coffee so I can eat on the way. I’ll even pick up for my co workers.

Finally found a place that actually has good fresh bagels. My 3 year old would never eat the bagels I would buy at a different shop and at this place she would eat the whole thing. The staff is also very nice. Ps: their pizza bagel is… Amazing. Yum. Oh and one more thing. do not buy Naked from them. It’s extremely overpriced!!!

I have only had one thing on the menu every time I have been here and I love it(like i said before I’m a simple person lol). The food has been consistent each time. I get the ham and egg on an everything bagel. The staff is always friendly and they are really fast at delivering your food. I wish they had a sausage and egg bagel! :)

OmG! Found a place with a Bialy bagel on the West Coast! Definitely has that«East Coast» fell, now all you need is a New Yorker behind the counter… I am in heaven, and it decently priced for the LBC. I might become a regular. Thanks Unilocal

Fresh bagels. Different flavors of drip coffee. Fast and friendly service. Yummy shmears. Lox and chicken salad bagels are the bomb. It’s simple and that what we are looking for.

Super fast service even on a Sunday morning. Asian lady took my order and could not have been sweeter. Prices are a little higher than other places but it’s good stuff and good people.

Fresh, delicious, reasonable… I’ve been coming here for years and the quality has not changed. This place has great customer service and sandwiches as well. I only wish it didn’t close so early!

Location: In a shopping center right off PCH, it can be kind of easy to miss however since it’s pretty small. It’s next to the bank(US bank I think?) so look for that. Plenty of parking, especially since the Ralphs that used to be in this complex closed. Very convenient location. Service: You usually see the same people working here as East Coast is a smaller chain(versus Noahs, etc.) and the asian woman who is usually there is super nice. She does speak with a somewhat heavy accent. Everyone says hello when you walk in and customer service is great. Food: Obviously they serve bagels. In comparing to other places, East Coast is more like a Noah’s bagel(heavier and chewier) versus some of the west coast places(bagel factory) that I’ve tried. I do like their bagels and it’s a fairly good price. I believe you get a baker’s dozen for about $ 12. They do have their to go tubs of cream cheese and a good variety of them for a reasonable price(around $ 3 – 4 depending on what kind you get). They also have a great variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, although we have yet to come here for lunch. The breakfast bagels are great and good for an «on the go» meal. I’ve seen lots of people come in for coffee and you get one refill free while you are there. They also have fresh OJ which is delicious! Overall: Great little bagel place with good customer service — only complaint is that is hot as h*ll in the store most of the time from the bagel ovens/pots going. I don’t think they have AC in there. I feel sorry for the workers, but they don’t seem to mind! Sit outside if you can…

We stopped in here after working out and going to a nutrition shop nearby. We were hungry and wanted a quick bite. This place is very much family owned. The lady working there making sandwiches was so cute! I got the turkey club on a pizza bagel and my wife customized her own cream cheese bagel. We also got their ice coffee. I would definitely recommend this place, looks like they bagel everything fresh and it was a good size.

When I was a student at Csulb I came her every morning for bagels. I love their blueberry bagel and their chocolate chip bagel. They are always so soft warm, and fresh. When I graduated from Csulb I was sad that I will no longer be able to get those bAgels every morning. The price is good and the workers are always nice and cheery.

This has grown to be favorite lunch spot during the workweek. I’ve come here so often that the man at the cashier already knows what I’m going to order – coffee! I come here specifically for their coffee. It’s absolutely delicious and for the price, $ 1.89, easily beats Starbucks/Coffee Bean/Panera any day. They have about 6 different selections and each is always piping hot. My favorites are their Vanilla Nut and Hazelnut blends. Coffee is also refillable! I’ve recently tried their Turkey Breast with Cranberry sandwich on a plain bagel. So good! They’re generous with the meat and the bagel has the perfect balance of fluffiness and crunch. Never had a problem with their customer service. The people working here are always warm and friendly and cater to your requests when they can. I’ll be a regular here for a while.

East Coast Bagel is a small chain with Good Bagels and Sandwiches. I grew up with the one in Westlake Village, CA– so maybe I have different standards for this bagel shop, but the LBC location is just a little lacking. Foods still good and I recommend giving it a shot! My favorite is the Turkey Melt, with no Russian Dressing + light mayo mustard. But make sure they put the Swiss & Cheddar cheese on both sides of this open face sandwich(as it was intended to be and implied in the description.) Don’t let this place charge you extra to make the sandwich correctly! :)

Yesterday was my first time here and this place really didn’t disappoint! The place was small, but a dainty and cozy kind of small. I asked for breakfast/brunch suggestions and the worker there was very knowledgeable on each item on the menu. I didn’t catch his name, but he was helpful. All in all, all the workers here seems nice and are customer service oriented. I opted for something called called ‘Spicy Deluxe’ on the Everything bagel. I substituted ham for sausage and that tasted just as good, if not, even better. I chose to add on avocado for that healthy pizazz. If you guys like a bit of spice on your food, this bagel option is a must try! I suppose they don’t have WiFi here if anyone was thinking of studying or doing work on their computer here. It’d be a plus if they did though. Will I be returning to try more types of bagels? Definitely.

This morning my boyfriend sent me a text asking if he could bring me a bagel for breakfast before he started his day. I excitedly responded with my request. 1). The avocado they used on my sandwich was rotten 2). The juice he got was expired and I only noticed after he left 3). They DIDNOT include his bagel sandwich in the to go bag, so he had to go back and eat alone This is his favorite spot so I am very disappointed. Would not recommend.
