I started coming here a few years ago so I think it’s about time I write a review! They have tons of bagel choices, especially if you come early in the morning. My first impression of the open faced bagel sandwich I got was, «holy moly they do not mess around with their avocado!». I HATE when places give you thin slices of avocado. This place does not do that. Their sandwiches are great– my fave is the Californian. Their smoothies are great and their mocha was delish! On top of all that, they have an adorable patio in the back. Getting cold? No worries! They have soft blankets stashed in the corner (: I hope this place never goes away. I’d pick this place over Einstein anyday.

This place is disgusting. If you like soggy bagels then this is your place. Every single time I come here I tell them to toast it more than usual. What do I get? A nasty soggy bagel drenched in cream cheese. I will not be back here!

BesT breakfast bagels and panini !! Such a cute place! Love the relaxed serene atmosphere of their little patio. Great place to have casual breakfast! Dogfriendly. Stroller friendly! Employees are friendly! Food is made fresh, clean, hot! Not heavy at all.

First and last time coming here. Longest wait for one sandwich and saw one of the guys making sandwich just staring at the bagels while a line of 10 waited to order. Everyone that works there just looks lost and confused. There is no organization at all. It’s not that hard I know I’ve done it. There’s absolutely no reason to take 30 mins for one sandwich when I got there no one was in front of me when I got there. Food should be dispensed in the order it was ordered. Especially one item. Come on people get it together.

4.5 if I could. It’s a pretty great place to spend a Saturday morning, they have outdoor seating in two parts. Very comfortable.
The variety of bagels is pretty great! There is variety in the flavor of the bagels themselves (egg bagels, chocolate, everything bagel, etc), the fillings (strawberry cream cheese, honey, avocado, ham, cheese, etc) and even their coffees. As someone who loves bagels, coffee, and a good place to read, this place is a nice location. In my opinion, a much better option than Einstein bagels. Only downside are the prices. Not overly priced, but not cheap either.

Bagels? Delicious. Today, however, I am so irritated with this location. I woke up early, took orders from coworkers, arrived at this location at 6:29 am… doors are locked. I knock and see someone peek their head out from the kitchen. Ignored me. I call — no answer. I call the garden grove location and ask if the LB store is open and they say yes. Ten minutes pass and the baker comes out and tells me they won’t be open for 20 more minutes. What? At 7?! An hour and a half late? I had to jump in my car and break half a dozen laws to get to the garden grove store. And I’m still going to be late for work. Thanks a lot, Bagelry. Thanks a lot. Way to skip the morning rush and all the business that entails.

Second time around, I ordered the acai bowl – they had all the ingredients today, success! It only comes in one size which is typically a small size anywhere else. I wish they had a bigger size. I finished it right away and wished I had a little more. Portion was good and flavor was there. PEANUT BUTTER SENSATION is a good one. It’s actually better than Jamba Juice acai bowls. I’d give this a ⁴⁄₅ only because it was a bit runny. I’d be willing to try their other mixed bases.
The hubby ordered the traditional lox & bagel – any bagel of our choice (garlic), lox which is smoked salmon, cream cheese, red onions raw, and fresh tomatoes. Hold on the tomatoes. They toast the bagel which is very good. So much garlic! Yes! Add salt & pepper! Their cold sandwiches are simple and amazing. Can’t wait to try other ones.

It took forever to receive our bagels and it seemingly wasn’t crowded. My bf said the lady at the counter gave him a funky look when he asked if they had ranch. She said no. They serve salads though… So… No ranch apparently if you’re going to order a salad.

Stopped here while traveling for a quick breakfast. I was in the mood for a bagel and saw that this place had decent reviews so I decided to stop by. There was plenty of parking in the shopping center so I didn’t have to walk too far since it was a bit rainy out. There were some tables and chairs outside and I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door.
The place was pretty empty since it was about 10 AM on a weekday. There were still plenty of bagels to choose from including poppy seed, Asiago, garlic Parmesan, and cinnamon. I decided to order the egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The bagels looked very fresh and the restaurant was super neat and clean.
As for the egg and cheese sandwich, I thought that the egg tasted a little strange… I’m not sure how they made it but it wasn’t freshly scrambled or fried. However, the everything bagel was fantastic!
I gave ⁴⁄₅ stars because the egg wasn’t great but I’d definitely stop by again to get a bagel. Service was great and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

Really great bagels and drinks. I would give five stars if they had better service.
I come here pretty frequently but usually have to suffer through the service. They don’t really seem like they care about the customers and they seem like they don’t want to be there in the first place.
Yes, it’s early on a weekend to be working, but you’re doing a job that requires good customer service. If this place had employees that cared about their customers, this review would be 5 stars.

I discovered this place a couple years ago and I’ve been coming here pretty much every week ever since.
Bagelry & Bistro is definitely a local favorite as it is always busy, but it is never packed. If there’s a particular bagel you want — for me, it’s the Jalapeño Cheese — it’s pretty common to see the more popular bagels gone by 9:30am.
The bagels are somewhere between medium and large compared to the many other bagels places I’ve been to. So if you get a bagel sandwich, expect it to be a satisfying size.
The bagels with cheese are melted in a way so the cheese is a bit more on the crunchy side as opposed to soft, which some people will love.
There’s a nice variety of flavored cream cheese spreads, including bacon cheddar chive, and strawberry. Oh, and they don’t go overboard with the cream cheese either like other places.
There’s a front patio with a few tables available, so feel free to bring your dog while you enjoy your breakfast!

Their bagels are decent. I get sourdough, and it’s always a little weak but gets the job done. Their iced coffee is not very good. It tastes really dirty and mild, not very strong coffee flavor. Might just be bottom of the barrel though.
EDIT: I’ve been sipping on the iced coffee for about half an hour now, and this stuff is real rough. Gonna have to take the L on this one. Still three stars for decent bagels and great service!

Very disappointing. Lox bagel had thick chunks of lox and the capers were not distributed at all. I also ordered a bagel with butter and cream cheese. No cream cheese on the bagel… just butter.
Either poorly trained or they don’t give two shits about what they’re putting on the plate. Not sure I will go back after this experience.

I normally like this spot as they have a good selection of bagels left after 11:00 am. My issues are with the service. It seems like they just don’t care. I ordered toasted bagels with butter for me and my kids the other day. It took over 15 minutes. They kept making the sandwiches for the people behind me while my bagels sat in the toaster getting cold. I went up to the counter and said something because we were in a hurry. The two ladies behind the counter were speaking Spanish to each other and just didn’t care whatsoever. They knew I was frustrated and didn’t show any concern at all. They kept making sandwiches for the people that were coming in. Kind of felt like a fool for tipping beforehand. I probably won’t go back.

I get the bagel with Lox or garden vegetable
spread. Food is actually good. Knocked them down because customer service is always WEIRD when I come here. They’re either really slow or overly social with their coworkers.
They need a «ding dong» notifier when people walk in the door because all they do is talk to each other.
I watched the girl prepare the food while touching her face and hair…

I was really excited about this place. I love bagels, and the girl who helped me was so friendly. However, I think this establishment needs a refresher course in microwave etiquette.
I ordered a bagel with «the works», to go. It was delivered to me a few minutes later. I took it home. When I got home, I took it out of the plastic container. Th sandwich consisted of a bagel, eggs and bacon. I know that the eggs were microwaved because I watched the girl do it. The temperature of the sandwich outside was just fine. It led me to believe that I could take a bite. So I did. However, much to my surprise, the inside of the microwaved egg and bell pepper mixture was SO HOT that even when I attempted to spit it out, it stuck to the roof of my mouth.
It is now more than 8 hours later and I have not been able to eat anything since. The roof of my mouth is blistered, and even bled a little earlier. The sandwich went into the garbage. Looks like I will be on a liquid diet for a few weeks. I cannot imagine eating anything at this point. This is not my first bagel sandwich, and it won’t be my last, but it will certainly be my last bagel from this place.
I am off to find some ice cream so I can numb my mouth.

Came here looking for a lox bagel because I was craving it but after looking on Unilocal and seeing that everyone gets the Palm Springs bagel I couldn’t decide which one I wanted.
So I got both.
I first tried the lox bagel and I was pleased with the flavor of the salmon
Then I tried the palm spring bagel and was surprised at how much flavor it was packing. It was definitely my favorite of the two.
I will definitely be coming back for more.

This place is pretty good! I’m glad I came across it in my Unilocal search.
When I went over the summer, I wanted to run out right away. They did not have air conditioning. :(I decided to stay anyway.
I ordered the egg sandwich bagel (egg-​on-​a-​bagel). I chose the everything bagel. It was delicious! I also got the Hawaiian acai bowl which consisted of acai topped with strawberries, bananas, and granola, and then drizzled with mango and pineapple syrup. Yum!
I’ll be back here :)

You could easily drive past this place and not even know it is there, but I’m so glad that I finally tried this place. Now, I find my self coming back here pretty often.
My main praise of this bagel place is that they are VERY generous with their avocado portions. As an avocado lover, I get super annoyed when I pay extra for avocado and I get two thin slices. As you can see from many pictures on here, I’m pretty sure they put an entire avocado on each bagel. The avocado alone is enough to keep me coming back, but that’s not the only reason I come here.
The atmosphere of the shop is nice and casual with plenty of seats, inside and outside. They have plenty of coffee and tea drinks as well. My friend got a latte once but it tasted way too sweet for my taste. But this isn’t a huge problem, because when I decided to order one I just asked for half the sweetness. The staff here is very helpful and accommodating.

This place is nice — I come here on Wednesdays when I have a large gap in between my classes to study.
Workers are super nice and love their regular customers, it’s really sweet to see them open the door for the older folk as they enter and exit.
I’ve had their acai bowls, Palm Springs on an everything bagel, coffee, green tea latte, hazelnut latte and chai latte. All of them have been great!
The only thing I don’t like is that about an hour before closing time, they clean the floors and it gives off a super strong chemical smell. Also, the window areas are usually dirty with a dead fly :(
