Chili’s Grill & Bar

The food is good and filling but I got jipped on my order.
I ordered the Bacon «Avocado» Chicken sandwich lunch to go and basically got close to no avocado!
I should have just ordered a plain chicken sandwich.
Someone picked it up for me since I only had a 30 min lunch, so I would’ve checked before leaving.
Oh, and the order took forever! I was probably better off going to McDs or someother sandwich joint.
Not ordering from here anymore.

Came here last week for lunch. When we got there, we asked to sit outside but the hostess said it was closed. (We picked this restaurant so we can enjoy the view while eating lunch!)
We ordered our food, waited, and when we got it, the waitress messed it up. She knew and advised me when she put my plate on the table. (Why would I wait another 20 mins for them to make me another plate?) I wanted to send it back but I was hungry so I accepted it.
The waitress never refilled our drinks unless we asked her. When we were done, we paid through the mini-​computer on the table. After paying, I asked for a box to take my leftovers home and nobody helped us. We waited another 15 mins to get a box!
Overall, food was decent but service sucks!!! I don’t know if they have new employees. The restaurant wasn’t even crowded when we got there but a lot of waiting and the servers aren’t attentive at all.

We normally are not fans of Chili’s however someone had given us a gift card, and we enjoyed our meal the other night. Their deal for 2 for $ 35, that includes margaritas, appetizer, entrée, and dessert was perfect. The Texas Cheddar Fries are delicious. The only downside was my husbands stomach hurt a bit after eating his burger.

Usually, a coworker and I hit the road to have lunch at the Chil’s in Lakewood — mainly because we didn’t now a location existed in Long Beach. After our experience at the location in Long Beach, we’ll still be going back to Lakewood.
Great location — right on the water. From our seats, would could see the boats on the water. The interior is modern, clean and new. Just know this though — it’s down on the water, so parking isn’t free. With validation, $ 3 for just under ninety minutes. Cash only for parking.
Reason we didn’t take a liking to this location was service. One would think that because of the location, the staff would be prepared to handle the lunch crowd, which means attentive service and turning tables over fairly efficiently — but I believe that’s not the philosophy at this place. Our server was either new, or overwhelmed but either way, service was not very attentive; the friendly scale rated an indifferent and the overall vibe was that the experience didn’t feel very welcoming.
Food was fine — no complaints. However, when a table orders an appetizer, one expects the dish to come before the meal. Also, if one is going to attempt to take someone’s order by memory, instead of writing it down — they better have a good memory. My drink order was wrong — but I didn’t mention it because it was just a different tea flavor. It wasn’t bad, but, it wasn’t what I ordered. Subsequent refills were correct as I emphasized the flavor.
Anyway — it’s the little things that can make me a fan or not, of a place. Especially when it comes to chain restaurants. I normally don’t eat at chain restaurants, unless it’s for lunch during the work week because I usually have an expectation of service and quality. In this case, quality was as expected but the service failed. Having to pay for parking didn’t hurt, but it didn’t help.

Came here and the place is practically empty. Sat down in the bar area because the hostess was nowhere to be seen. Riddle me this, how is it that 2 drinks were order at the bar (beer and long island) and it takes almost 30 minutes! Then the server or lack thereof has yet to offer to take our order. Then 2 families come in at different times and he is super attentive to them. Funny how our drinks arrive at the same time as both of their food orders… and the ordered at different times! I asked to speak to the manager and it has been over 10 minutes and I am still waiting as I type. No I see why this place has only 2 stars and I’m sure that’s being generous! If u could leave 0 stars I would!!!

I made a reservation 1 week in advance for 20 people for 330 pm on a Saturday. I get there and they did not have my table set up and we had to wait for the other family finish eating to be seated. We were finally seated at 4:00 pm. Here’s where it gets worse we ordered our food and drinks and appetizers all at the same time. We waited 30 minutes before getting any drink. They served my mom cold coffee. We rcvd our food at the same time with the appetizers which I can’t stand when that happens. The waiter had a I don’t care attitude. They served our food and we had no utensils on the table to eat. I gave them one star because I thought I needed to give a star to write a review. I will never eat at this chili’s again.

Came here on graduation night with my family. The waiter was amazingly friendly!!! His name was Jeffrey and even though the kitchen got our order wrong they fixed our order and then he hooked us up with two free desserts! :D He was super nice and energetic and so were the other waiters. One of the waiters took our picture and he was an actual photographer! (forgot his name) All the staff was professional!
I really recommend this Chili’s! The food was all delicious and I had a great time! :D

Horrible run far away. The food is mediocre and the waitstaff and host are lazy they just stand around. Got in a bad argument with the host. Called and left a complaint ., they gotta do better

This place does not even deserve one star. I went on a Friday at about 12:30 the place was not that packed I should have known then to run. We were seated in the bar area. the waiter seemed like he was preoccupied with a lot of other things… long story short he got out order wrong… the food came out cold. and the table and walls were we say we’re filthy dirty… I hadn’t eaten chilis in a few years and I should have left it that way! This place is horrible. we waited about 30 mins just to get our check and that’s after we asked 3 different people. mind you it was only 2 of us… no one ever came to the table to ask how anything was going. what was even more frustrating was that you could hear and see the employees goofing around and having a good olé time in the kitchen area while the customers were waiting… seemed to me they employ lots of young kids who don’t take their jobs seriously! Anyway I won’t be back ever! It’s such a dirty place!

The food is good but the service is soooo ooohhhh slowww and it doesn’t matter what time u go it’s always slow there and multiple times our unlimited soup has come out lukewarm they need to restructure the front and back teams to work together to be more efficient

Well we went here last weekend and it was a 5 star, the waitress was perfect and everything. So we decided to go back this weekend.
It wasn’t any more crowded that the last weekend, and we got the SMALLEST table possible. I burned myself on the cast iron cause there was literally no room for us to eat. We were completely rushed when ordering after we told her 4 times we wanted to wait till we finish the appetizer. My fries were room temperature which is the worst!!! All our chips were broken, like we had gotten the leftovers. I always ask for chips to go, but our waitress kept disappearing. The people next to us had to stand and walk around the corner and wait so he could find her. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time I came in after reading all those reviews, it’s either hit or miss I guess. Yesterday was terrible.

Came again and thanks to BRANDON, my opinion of this place changed! He’s a great waiter and makes great drinks! He was extremely helpful and friendly :)
Came here for the 2 for $ 20 deal which I must admit is a very good deal! A friend and I shared chips and guacamole for the appetizer and then we each got a plate of chicken tenders served with fries and corn on a cob. The flavor a of the food was decent but not much could be expected from a deal like that. DENISE (waitress) unfortunately didn’t do a good job. Never got refills and never asked how we were doing. If you’re looking for something cheap just come here

Stopped in to watch a game at the bar. I walked through the main dining area. I saw broken chips and other food on the ground. The music in the bar area was not good. It was a drag to listen to while watching sports. Mood killer. I got the chips and salsa, the chips were OVERLY salted. Service was decent. Beer prices are reasonable.

Holy smokes, this dump is dirty!
How can they think this is OK? Empty tables, full of dirty dishes throughout the place. The restroom is disgusting as is the rest of the place. Time to revamp this hell hole from top to bottom.

Came today at 12:45pm for lunch and the place had people waiting outside and wait was 30 minutes… Walked inside to place to go order at the bar and there were so many empty tables so it was way too under staffed. Doesn’t the manager know it’s Spring Break this week? Bad planning. The guy at the reception didn’t seem like he wanted to be there so why keep him?
They forgot to give our kids’ milk that was supposed to come with the kids meal but we half expected that from the vibe and less then enthusiastic people that work here…

First off I’ll like to say I love chili’s, the food is great however the service at this location is questionable! What do I have to do to get some service? Change my skin tone? Or maybe age a couple more years? Hmm not sure why! But next time I’ll take my money somewhere else!

PSA Be carful of the place slow service cold food and forgetful servicer.
Me and my wifey came to enjoy a nice dinner out after a movie and the food took forever to get out and service was slow on top of that the food was cold. When i ordered my food they forgot my sweet corn and that took another 20 minutes to come out to me. after i asked the seriver 3 times. We ended up ordering a dessert and that took another … until i had enough and talked to the manager.
After this whole horrible process he goes in the back to get my dessert with a Leisure attitude. Then he offers me 15 $ coupons not even enough to cover my dinner. He offered an excuse that they had more people then they excepted. Never going back!!!

Extremely disappointed!!!
I am a patron for many many years to various locations in CA. Unfortunately, our first visit to the location in Long Beach was awful yesterday.
The service was horrible, everything took too long… refilling the drinks, ordering dessert, getting the bill, etc. I had to stand up and wave at the server in order to call his attention to ask for the bill.
My friend asked for avocado and she received a ¼ avocado with black spots and my daughters friend salad had black avocado pieces (see photo). In my opinion, it is better to be out of avocados than serving them in this condition.
What a shame!!!

We now have two small children, so our dining options have become very limited. Unfortunately, most family friendly places are the corporate crap restaurants and Chili’s is no exception.
We came in because we were heading to the Aquarium and the dining options around here are limited.
The drink menu is as expected. Lots of fufu drinks and a crappy beer selection. As more places are offering craft beer, Chili’s still has the standard macro brew selection. Stella is the most exotic beer they have.
The menu is underwhelming. It’s a little bit of everything, but nothing really looked great. My wife ordered some Tex-​Mex burrito that actually looked good in the photo, but what she got on the plate looked nothing like the photo. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Salad. The lettuce was old and looked like it came from a bag. The chicken was cold and super salty with barely any buffalo sauce.
Service was spotty. Our server was a nice guy, but seemed like he was new. Food took way too long to come out.
I would not recommend this restaurant.

Sat at the bar section since there is no wait and my date and I were kinda hungry. The actual wait time to get seated was going to be 20 mins or so as per the host.
Once we sat down we were greated by Christian V.
We ordered waters and a appetizer asap, went with California chicken flat bread, so after drinking most of my water and waiting for 20 mins our appetizer arrived, Christian V did in fact say he will check on the status, not sure why, maybe he felt it was taking to long…
Once it arrived we went at it. Would I get it again, probably not, nothing stood out, chicken pieces were limited and they added mayo for whatever reason.
While we waited for our appetizer we also placed our dinner order, I went with their combo (Alaskan Salmon and Classic Sirlion) with steamed broccoli. My date had the Alaskan Salmon.
I ordered my steak medium rare but arrived medium well, I was so hungry I was fine in eating it that way. Didn’t want to wait again.
One thing I felt lacked was attention from Christian V, I truly understand he had other tables but he never made eye contact with other tables to see if we needed anything, trust me, when a person at a table makes contact with you it’s not for a connection, its for hey I need something. On 5 separate occasions while Christian V came by my area I kept on looking at him to see if he could get me some steak sauce, it wasn’t until he was behind me and walking away that I told him him out loud hey excuse me.
I’m not one to complain at all since I know how hard is to work for the food industry but then again I know that Christian V just focused on each table then went back to the kitchen, other then that he was a good server.
As for the steak it tasted ok, I think less cooked would have been more enjoyable and the salmon was just fine, they add this pesto that really isn’t necessary. Broccoli was perfect.
This place and the restaurant across the way are very popular so give them time to seat you if not shoot for the bar area.
