Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar

This place is so good. I had the Santa Fe Salad and my friend had the Salmon Cesar Salad and they both were delicious. The service was friendly and speedy. I will definitely go again

My boyfriend and I went here today for what we thought would be a quick bite before going to the aquarium, but we ended up being here for an hour because of the über slow service, and that with it being pretty empty. Our server was pleasant enough, but our drinks took ten plus minutes to get to us (and my boyfriend’s beer glass was chipped when they finally made it to our table) and our appetizers (which were all we were getting) took over twenty-​five minutes. It was no surprise when they did get to us one was only lukewarm, although we were warned the plates were hot (probably from sitting under the food lamp waiting to be brought out). They tasted fine aside from being much cooler than they should have been, but it’s kind of hard to mess up nachos.
Had I been a true Unilocaler I would’ve consulted the reviews before we went, but alas I failed. I see the owner or manager keeps responding to the plethora of unfavorable reviews with his/​her apologies about the bad experience so many people have had, yet it seems this place has yet to improve. Someone who is really sorry alters their behavior. My advice: walk a little further (or stop sooner) for a post (or pre) aquarium bite.

First of all Boston’s is not Boston Market. They are two different restaurants with Boston’ being an upscale version. I have frequented Boston’s several times since it has opened and enjoyed the appetizer menu. I find southwest ravioli is a nice match with a Mediterranean salad. The bar area has plenty of table and seating space for any sporting event televised. It is going to be a mad house when the Kings and Blackhawks square off for the Stanley cup. Why go to staples Center, the view and food is cheaper than DT-​LA. The service provided by Boston’s staff was superb. I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant manager Vincent was cordial and available to spend time with me. Frequently I experience restaurant chain stores will have an assistant or bartender do any customer interface. So 5 stars for the management here.
One other plus for this business is a parking garage is located across the street from the restaurant which makes life so much easier. I hate to pay valet fees to park a car or have to walk 1 mile to a place of business because street parking is sketchy.
The composite rating for Boston’s is good. However, the meals tend to be a little pricey. So if you are taking your significant other and or family members and they are not very hungry, I would recommend taking a dogie bag home or order a meal and salad and share the order. The portion sizes are reasonable. Also the best days to go to this restaurant are during the week. The aquarium way on weekends can be a zoo.
I am adding Boston’s to my happy hour list. However, there is a caveat emptor to be applied. Attend the happy hours during the NFL football season as the 5 buck appetizer deals on Sundays and Mondays are great.
