Description

Specialties

We are a unique dual restaurant, combining the best of Japanese and authentic Thai cuisines. We offer an extensive menu, with both traditional and contemporary options. We serve the freshest seafood, creating exotic rolls and mouth-watering sashimi.

Our «Wild Things» menu includes hard-to-find items such as Fried Red Snapper with Curry Sauce, Black Eggs Chili with garlic and Thai basil, the Crying Tiger (grilled tender beef served with spicy lime sauce), and Honey Duck. Our fresh seafood menu features many daily choices, including Catfish, Squid, Mussels, King Crab Legs, Pompano and the very popular Tilapia with Mango Salad.

We also feature rare delicacies such as Salmon and Yellowtail cheek. And our oysters are brought in fresh daily. We serve 12 «Hot Pot» soups as well as over 15 different entrée salads. We have Thai Curry bowls, rice and noodle dishes and many vegetarian and gluten-free options. Come with all your friends; as you can see, we have something for everyone’s taste.

History

Established in 2008.

When I first came to the U.S., I originally settled in Los Angeles where my brother Alex and I worked at Ocha restaurant together. We then worked at a casino together before buying a fine-dining American cuisine restaurant. After I sold this restaurant in 2002, I moved to Long Beach and took over Bai Plu on 7th St. from the previous owners, who had run the restaurant for over 20 years. The restaurant was so successful, I decided to open a second location on Bellflower near the college.
