Costco

Ordered a pizza ahead of time, got to the check out and waited for the cashier to acknowledge my presence. After Cashier «Peyton» helped multiple customers and ignored me, I finally asked if I could just pay for the pizza that was sitting in the window under the lamp. Peyton stopped what she was doing, walked over to the window grabbed my preordered pizza and yelled, «you can’t have it without standing in the back of the line. What’s the point of allowing call ahead orders. Cold dried out pizza and rude customer service tells me we won’t come here again!
Disappointed more then ever (Costco member for 17 years)

I’ve always had a great experience at this Costco while shopping. Today was no exception as I stopped in around 5:15 to have the air pressure in my tires checked. Even though it was a Saturday I was greeted immediately and the guys were able to find that I had multiple punctures in my tire (bad luck I guess!). It didn’t seem to matter to them that they were closing soon. They helped me pick out new tires and installed them the same night! Amazing service! Thanks from a new mom who can now drive safely home to Golden.

BEWARE OF THE BOTTLED WATER DELIVERY SERVICE!
Twice now DS water services (the company which is used in the South Denver Metro Area) has sneaked additional products in our order that we never requested. We signed up for a 4 bottle a month plan on auto pay and randomly have been charged for other bottled water products that we never ordered. The products just show up and are added to our invoice.
Also we have noted fluctuating energy surcharges on our bills. The charges are usually around 2.40−2.70… These charges are also new and had started occurring in 2015.
UMMMMM, OK– GAS IS DIRT CHEAP NOW! Just think how much money DS water is making if they have, say, 40,000 customers getting water and everyone is being charged a few extra bucks for an «energy surcharge.»
What exactly happened in 2015 that required this new charge? I asked customer service this question and was told it was because of rising gas costs. ummmmmm…
I would seek other water delivery services elsewhere and not use this water company.

I’ve been to a lot of Costcos and this is one of the better ones! I know the reviews don’t show it but this one is pretty busy. To the point where I go to get things and they are sold out! They have a great selection of food including produce and meat. We don’t buy much produce here though because it literally is bulk and we don’t finish it.
I just wish this one had more options for organic foods! They have gotten better since we’ve moved here though I must say!
The staff at this location are very helpful! I don’t know how many times I’ve seen something but can’t remember where and have to ask them to only find out I’ve walked right by it! And of course the SAMPLES! That’s a major part of why people go, let’s be real. That’s all anyone ever needs to know about. Their samples are legit! I will literally get full (and sick) from eating it all!

I come here literally for almost everything. Clothing, electronics, home goods, groceries, eye exams, tires, gas, food. EVERYTHING. This particular location is great. The employees here have always been so helpful and nice! If you have never been to a Costco, you need to go!
The aisles and aisles of things are endless! Not to mention the samples they give out (AWESOME). They have a huge variety of organic goods as well. The membership pays for itself no doubt about it.
Pros: Organic selections. Great deals on mostly everything. Samples. Nice and helpful staff. Organized. Gas prices.
Cons: Cash or debit only. (I think this will change soon… some of the employees mentioned they will begin taking VISA in april.) I don’t know how true this is. Parking can be rough.
Overall: Definitely get the membership and start shopping at Costco. You will save a lot on their great deals!

it’s hard to believe that on a Saturday Costco has four lanes closed. I asked employee house soon two consecutive lanes were open and he said oh they will move pretty fast. So I move to another line and then they opened up both of the lanes.
I am livid pissed at Costco!!!

Mmhmm… Costco has it all, literally! I can buy hiking boots, salt for my driveway, pre-​made tamales, and change my cell phone plan all at the same place. I often find myself spending way more than intended. Sunday is a great day to shop! It’s pretty busy, but there’s samples everywhere!

No, no, no!!! With my busy schedule I went to the store to get my lunch and few things for home… Bought the Cesar salad and brought it back to work. It is probably, at least two days old salad. Very disappointed! Too much hassle to bring it back– so threw the whole thing away! Disgusting! Have been Loving Costco but not today and probably not for a long time.

It’s a truly magical place.
Where else can you buy a Christmas tree, a pumpkin, fresh salmon, patio furniture, a TV, an engagement ring, an industrial size tub of mayonnaise, refill a prescription, and get a quick eye exam right before feeding a family of five for $ 10?
True, our bill at Costco is never less than $ 250, and there are only two of us. Also true is that when we go to Costco we don’t have to restock on any of the items we bought for at least a month. As far as meat goes, you would be a fool to purchase it elsewhere, cheap and high-​quality it makes grocery store meat feel like it costs a fortune. Produce? Make all the crock pot recipes you want this winter, because you just bought 40 carrots. I will admit I am not a fan of their cucumbers, as they’re individually wrapped (why?) or of their onions, as they tend to spoil before you get through them, and we use a lot of onions. Just a heads up, nothing worth dropping a star over.
The only downfall of this place, which is no fault of the store itself, is the suburban crowd. I don’t mean that in a negative way, we’ve been considering ditching the city for greener, cleaner pastures, but sometimes non-​city people are not so used to sharing their space. Downtowners, do you know what I’m talking about? When you’re walking on a busy street, say 16^th or Larimer Square, and there’s always those people who walk at a snail’s pace, swerving direction every so often, making it impossible to pass them and completely holding up foot traffic? Those people that aren’t used to keeping pace with others around them and seem to think they are alone on the sidewalk, because where they live there aren’t 200 people on a single block so they’re not used to considering this when walking? All of these people go to this Costco on the weekends. It is a cluster of wandering carts, of families walking so impossibly slow you consider nominating them for extras on The Walking Dead, and a lot of horizontal line aisle blockage. But you know what? Costco is so great you learn to navigate them. Where else can I get 12 bagels for $ 5? I WILL DEAL.

I have been a member of Costco for over seven years now in NJ, AZ, CO. I really do love this store especially, even though most of the stores carry similar products, the staff is SUPER friendly. You are always greeted by a smile and staff always ask if you need any assistance. However, AVOID on weekends as this place gets VERY crowded. I usually try to shop here during the week either early afternoon or evening.

Costco is worth the membership.
It may not be good for the some of the perishable items unless you’re feeding an army but overall the deals are excellent as long as you have the space at home to store everything (basement, under the bed, or in the kids closet).
Along with non-​perishable items it’s a great place to stop when throwing a party and you need large amounts of bottled water, lemons, limes, vegetables, cheese (my personal favorite), or meat. The savings are immense.
As others have mentioned the parking lot can be a little rough. Here’s a tip, park further away from the front door, the traffic jams are almost always due to people trying to get in or out of parking spots by the front door, if you park a little further out the parking issues are minimal. I never find this place to be unbearably crowded or have more kids than normal as others have mentioned. It’s no busier than a super market.
Bring cash, grab a cart and spend an hour stocking up your house with the essentials.

I am a fan of Costco, but not as much of a fan of all the people. The store was clean and things were easy enough to find. Not a lot of folks around if you need help that I could see, but again I was able to find just about everything I needed anyway.

Closest Costco to me (read only), and always had a gay old time here. If you’ve never shopped at this kind of store just be sure to think with your HEAD, not your tum or your heart. Things is cheap. And there are a lot of things that come within a package. Do you really need a 32 pack of sponges? No! But a 44 pack of microwave popcorn? Sign me up any day of the week!
Be wary of the bakery stuff. You may think 12 delicious gigantic muffins will be a good idea. You will not finish them. You will find no joy there.

A dazzling array of products ranging from groceries to computers and everything in between. Excellent prices on most items, the best prices you’re likely to find on many. As a members-​only establishment (with some exceptions, I believe — pharmacy is, or was, open to the public) there’s an up-​front annual fee, but the savings over the local grocery store make it well worth it.
There are almost always associates preparing tasters of a wide variety of food, so you can nibble while shopping.
Most food items are sold in large or bulk packages, so you need lots of storage space after a big trip here.
They’ve made great strides over the last couple of years in stocking the store with a progressively wider variety of certified organic food, giving their customers a choice. Those who don’t care if their groceries are filled with high fructose corn syrup can certainly find it, while health-​conscious shoppers can find what they’re looking for as well.
Also commendable is the company’s business philosophy — pay everyone a decent wage with good benefits, thereby avoiding staff turnover and saving training costs — exactly the opposite of WalMart’s business model.
One caveat — if possible, avoid shopping here on the weekend — it’s a madhouse.

I really like this location the best out of all of them. On the weekends, be prepared to battle the crowds but never get pushed around. The other locations seem to have grocery shopping as a contact sport. The samples are always fun but not the healthiest choices either. I always get snookered into getting more steak samples cause it’s that good. The cashiers here are wonderfully hilarious each time we have checked out. Overall, the best experience in Denver for any of the Costco locations!

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to be in the hunger games come to this Costco on a weekend! Or, if you’d like to go to Disney world without the rides or the magic. come here!
yes. its like visiting the seventh circle of hell with super yummy snacks. lt’s pushing a super sized cart around obstacles of gawkers, stoppers, racers, and other annoying people. This is one of those places where you come and leaving saying I. Hate. People. its so crowded and there seems to be some Californian ethic of me first and get out of the way and suddenly you understand why we legalized pot.
But its Costco. and because I love my veggie straws, calzones, rotisserie chickens and ginourmous chocolate cakes I can’t give it less than three stars, even if it is a secret passage to hell. I go to river point; its delightful.
Sometime this Costco has yummier items than others. Just come on a weekday. Midday. After the end of the world.
I have to say that the husband ran back to get honey and the mgr. let us check out and did not make us stand back in line. he just slid us through. the hell here has nothing to do with the employees. if anything, I think they should all get peace prizes for working here everyday and not committing random acts of violence.
Costco transfers vhs to DVD for 18 bucks and they have cheap photo books and calendars.

It’s Costco, I won’t bore you with details. I come to this location because it’s closest to home and besides not having a liquor store I don’t see much difference between this one and the ones in Parker (off 470) or Lakewood (off Wadsworth).
Key at this location is timing. NEVER shop on a weekend unless you can get there as soon as they open and be out within 30 minutes (it’s possible– I’ve done it). OR if you go on a weeknight just before closing.
As others have mentioned, parking is a nightmare at this location, but if you observe the rules above you can probably make it in and out without dying.
Staff here is visible and helpful. I love how easy they make returns, and stand behind their products.
One last thing: Fountain Pepsi! This is a fairly recent change over from Coke, and I was so excited when I noticed the improvement :) Now I can have a Pepsi with my hot dog or pizza.

So — you can’t really beat the almighty Costco. In fact, it’s become such a strictly observed Sunday tradition in our house, it very well could be our ‘church equivalent.’ It goes without saying that almost every American is familiar with the Costco brand and it’s saving grace when it comes to buying in bulk.
But, believe it not, this particular Costco didn’t have everything that I was looking for. Still a standard Costco, with a generous serving of delicious samples I might add, it got the majority of my shopping list covered. I won’t blame the crowd and awkward maneuvering with my mega cart as I went the Saturday after Thanksgiving, but not carrying lemonade or club soda seemed amiss for a store like this. But not too worry — I still stalked up on my bulk Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, pub mix, and meat! Ya buddy!

I can’t seem to like this Costco.
It’s Costco — great — but it’s not up to par with other Costco’s around CO, much less in other states. This place is eternally jammed and not adequately staffed. Items I regularly purchase at Costco are priced higher at this location (Fage, for one). I’ve been a few times now and don’t think I’ll be back.

I hate to let the cat out of the bag, but the secret to costco is timing and parking.
I never go in the front entrance. I enter the light prior to, go around the back, and parking facing 470. Do no enter the general public parking — your head will explode!
Next — never ever go at lunch. Never ever go on your way home. Go home, have a drink, dinner, relax. Around 7:30 or even 7:45 if you know what you want — attack!
This is an old style costco — so you do you shopping — down one side, up the other and then funnel into the line. Ugh.
Terrible design!
This used to be my Costco when I lived and suburbia, and sanity was kept by timing and parking knowledge! Although if you need gas… well, you will have to enter thru the main light, but then you can also get around to the back by going around the other side of costco and still parking in the back 40 facing 470.

Too crowded! While I love Costco, shopping here is not an enjoyable experience.

Costco’s membership is a great value only if you use it!
My top 5 favorite «deals» are:
1) 24 hour Fitness 2 year membership for something that worked out to be ~$ 12 – 14 a month.
2) Their car batteries are supposed to be great… cost-​wise and quality-​wise. So far, we have bought 2 of them. Will let you know down the road how they work out.
3) Their lox is fabulous. ~$ 20 for two 12 oz packages. Great deal for the best tasting lox we’ve had so far…
4) Some of their bulk veggies are organic. We’re going to start juicing, so we bought the 10 lbs of organic carrots for a little over $ 5! We also bought the organic strawberries (~$ 5 for 2 lbs) and organic broccoli. Yum!
5) Famous Dave’s Signature Spicy Pickle Chips…64 oz for a little over $ 5. Sounds like a lot of pickles, but they disappear fast!
We go and enjoy checking out what they have in general, since we know they do their homework prior to selecting their products that they carry. Their own brand «Kirkland» tends to be high quality for reasonable prices.
We are also members at the Sam’s Club… which we end up buying different items there that are what we consider «deals». If you are only wanting to join one, I will be writing a Sam’s Club review in the future and you can see what we believe are the deals and benefits of being members there too.
