B & D Auto Upholstery & Window Tint

We were referred to B & D by our service guy at the Toyota Dealership to replace our convertible top. They did it in one day and for $ 1100 less than having it done at the dealer. I asked Julian about reupholstering our front seats because of the wear & tear. Julian explained they could replace the panel of the seats so we don’t have to get the entire seat done. This saved us again! They matched the leather perfectly. The seats and top look fantastic!!! I cannot give them enough praise.

Just got my ride tinted here. Was a little worried because of the reviews. But I went down and spoke to Oscar who took care of me like family. Price point was good and the tint came with a lifetime warranty. I did have to bring it back for a little bubbling but with out question Oscar made a appointment for me and fixed the tint. They did a great job. I inspected the work and it looks great. Very happy with the process.

I drive a ’97 Lexus. The driver’s seat leather was dry, cracked and torn over the years. My mechanic suggested I go to B & D. Oscar said he could re-​upholster the seat. I had «reservations» because I thought the seats would not match.
I don’t know how they did it … but … the seats matched perfectly. I was impressed.
My «years old» office chair had a large tear in the fabric. I called Oscar. He said he thought he could help. I took the chair here. Oscar said he could re-​upholster the chair and together we selected a fabric. The result was a chair with a fabric «better than new» and expert workmanship.
A friend asked me if I knew anyone who can fix torn fabric on outside furniture. I suggested B & D. They fixed several chairs and a lounge.
My friend was astounded. «How do you find places like this» he asked. My answer,
«I listen to people I trust AND I constantly read Unilocal reviews.»

I took my brother in law’s Honda accord for tinted windows, they did a fantastic job. The price is good and guarantee quality work. I would recommend everyone I know to this shop, thanks Oscar manager @ B&D.

THERE SHOULD BE A «0» STARS! IM READING ALL YOUR GOOD COMMENTS AND WONDER IF WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME PLACE… I work for an insurance company. I had one of my clients take her vehicle there to get her convertible top fixed. She’s about 60 years old. Sweet lady. Took the car there because it convinient. They wrote her an estimate. my client requetes the insurance company to send her the check because she felt safer holding on to the check till the repairs were done. The adjuster passed by the shop to see the damaged top, and left the check there by accident. When my client passed by to check on the vehicle, she noticed the adjuster had left the check there, so she took the check and told the lady there… i requested that the check be sent to me. When my client got home, Oscar from B&D called my client and told her off for taking the check. Using profanity and saying she was trying to commit insurance fraud. First of all, any policy holder has the right to take the check and not fix their vehicle if they want to, so i dont know why taking the check would be insurance fraud. When my client got to the shop to see why he had cursed her out, she was treated really bad to the point they made her cry. At that point she didnt want the repairs done after how they treated her. They refused to give her the car back. The car was not at the bodyshop, which means they took it somewhere else. She came into my office crying. I called the bodyshop and spoke to Oscar. He made some accusation that left me stunned! He stated that she was committing insurance fraud and she wanted to cash the check…(smart guy, she’s allowed to cash it, its under her name), Then he went on saying that the vehicle was going to be repossed because she hadnt made payments on the vehicle, what that has to do with fixing the vehicle, i dont know… he then went off saying she was a drug dealer and and he didnt want to do business with her. I felt i was having a conversation with a drunk teenager, he made no sense on what he was saying and accusing someone of something that has NOTHING to do with fixing the vehicle. The police was called, which was useless because ht ecop knew the people at the bodyshop and favored them so she couldnt pick up her vehicle. when she finally picked it up, they had cut the top off and charged her $ 350, for what he stated was labor work. I have never in my years in insurance dealt with anyone so unprofessional. I have the pictures of the vehicle… too bad we can post on here or i’d show you the type of work you can expect from this shop. I’d rather drive a damaged vehicle than to deal with thei Oscar character. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP

Well… what can I say. I live in Lomita and generally recommend those to shop and do business within our community. I went to B&D to make an inquiry and was greeted (and I use that term very loosely) by a tall Korean Man. Absoluletly the rudest service I’ve ever encountered. I decided to do business in Torrance. I can’t claim that the quality of work is good or bad… it is just that the quailty of Service to me was totally unacceptable.

Was referred here through Martin Chevrolet. My recent purchase of my lightly loved 2007 Chevy Trailblazer had a rip in the back seat upholstery and Martin Chevrolet agreed to fix under my original contract agreement for free. Martin wanted me to leave my car for an entire day to do this job. When they told me who was doing the work, I asked if I could go directly to the vendor rather than go through the middle man. I live in Lomita, and drive past this shop twice a day on my way to work. Not only did this save me loosing time from work, requesting a rental or having to find a ride, Oscar was so accomadating. He even offered to remove my car seat and let me have my car back. I showed up three hours later and they installed my newly repaired rear seat in less than 10 minutes. Did a spectacular job at matching the leather and the convenience was phenomenal. I would highly recommend them. See Oscar when you go there. He IS THE MAN!

I had purchased a new car from a local Dealer, & they recommended this company to tint my new car.
Good: they p/​you your car & return it as they do quite a few dealers cars like Hooman Nissan & South Bay Infiniti among others. They really don’t do much mobile tinting. There location is hard to find in the back of a self car wash, & parking is difficult.
The Bad: There service is friendly enough, however their quality of work is sub par. They tinted my car & I noticed quite a bit of dirt under the tint which was visible from a distance of several feet, all the 5 windows were affected, also the front window film was slightly torn at the edge. However the reason for the 1 star, is not due to just this, as anyone can make a mistake. After the initial issues, they agreed to re-​tint the entire car & again p/​u the car, however the same issues were present the next day (after the glue on the tint dried) & I suspect they did not re-​tint anything, instead trying to fix the issues by some other method, as the dirt was in the exact same place, leaving me to suspect this. The net result was to have them remove the entire tint, & I went with another company with excellent service & work. Very unprofessional to deal with, I would advise to choose another company.

Great place to do business!!! Very attentive and great prices. Very happy with the work they did on my car. I had my leather seats recovered, the carpets as well as my convertible top replaced 5 years ago and they’re still in great shape. I’ve had all of our cars tinted by them and have sent family and friends to have their car windows tinted to, all with great success. Highly recommend this place to do business.

I recently purchased a car and wanted to change cloth seats to leather. Quite by chance, driving down Lomita Blvd. we found B & D Auto. They were without a doubt the best… I left my car and within two days had perfect and beautiful new leather seats and tinted windows… The leather is beautiful, the seats look better than factory installed (if that is possible), and they are guaranteed for three years. They also provide many other services including car detailing, etc. B & D went over and beyond in detail and perfection. Ask for Oscar. Thank you so much!!! My little car is just beautiful!!!
