Glenbard Auto Body is a full service collision repair facility located in Lombard, Illinois, a Western suburb of Chicago. Glenbard is family owned and operated and is dedicated to provide outstanding service and top quality repair work.

History

Established in 1978.

Since he was a young boy Jim Wolak had an affinity for fixing all things broken and with an amazing level of precision at that. Shortly out of High school Jim weaved this childhood talent into his first auto body shop on Chicago’s west side. The shop quickly grew and thrived. In 1978 he relocated his shop, buying a much larger space in Lombard, IL to make way for a complete collision repair facility. Glenbard Autobody has grown into a full service auto repair facility that is competitive with even the largest national chains. Over the years a full parts department, in house paint booth along with the latest high tech hardware has allowed Glenbard to grow into the go to auto body facility for the Chicago suburbs. To this day, Jim can still be seen working along side his employees in the garage. Jim’s wife and youngest son has since joined the team to help with the increasing demand for honest, quality repairs with an attention to detail that can’t be found anywhere else.

I went there for a free estimate on paint touch up after being scraped by another vehicle. The man working there said he needed to clean the transfer paint off first then he’d give me an estimate. He could have took advantage of my ignorance but instead was honest with me about the lack of actual damage. I have dealt with dishonest repair shops before and this is not one of them!

They fixed my minivan after someone backed into it. The other person’s insurance company tried to send me to a shop further away, but the folks at Glenbard explained that I could take my car where ever I wanted. They took care of all of the insurance hassle and arranged for my rental to be delivered to me at the shop. It could not have been easier and the people there are so nice and helpful. If I ever need a body shop again, I’ll definitely go back to Glenbard.

First off, Jeff is a major heartthrob! the customer service is great. I needed a paint touch up on my car and Jeff was nice enough to give me options and touch up my car for me. Overall, great shop!

I’ve driven Roosevelt almost every day for a decade and didn’t notice Glenbard until they put their fancy new logo up on their sign! Glad they did because the treatment my fiancé and I got when we brought our car in was awesome. They bent over backwards for us in every possible way!

Words can not express how unbelievably awesome Glenbard Auto Body is with dealing with repairs. They work diligently with the adjusters. They literally take care of all your needs and make your repair as easy as possible. I have been here twice and can not be happier I used them. Highly recommend. Trust me they try to make your life easy when you are in an accident (which can be such a hassle) to get your car back in working order. 10 Stars if I could.

Glenbard auto is awesome! My wife had a small fender bender 2 weeks ago and I took my car there because of previous repair s on my others cars. They had my car ready in one week and you could not even tell in was in an accident. Hats off to Jim & Janice.

This is the second time within 12 months that we have gone to Glenbard Auto Body with the same car. The first time was a small problem, the drivers side mirror got whacked and they replaced it. Second time, drivers side door, front quarter panel and bumper got raked by a driver in a parking lot that wasn’t paying attention to where they were going. We have been very, very satisfied with the service and quality of work performed by this body shop. It’s a small shop, family run, but delivers big on quality. Brand new car quality repairs, we were very impressed. Plus, full lifetime warranty and they arrange for your rental car which is brought directly to the body shop by Enterprise or Hertz. We highly recommend this shop. It’s a gem.

Quite possibly the best customer service experience I’ve ever had with a business. From the very beginning they were friendly and courteous. They not only matched another bid I had received for repairs, but ended up beating it! In order to simplify the billing process’s to the other party they even took care of picking up the rental car fee so there was a single bill given. The estimate given was pretty much spot on as well. Overall everyone I dealt with was very friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend getting your repairs done at Glenbard Auto Body.

Not sure why there aren’t any reviews for this place, but we’ve used them a couple of times and have had great experiences. The estimates are right on and the work always completed when scheduled. I know that auto repair is expensive, but the folks here make it as painless as possible.

Disappointing, mediocre quality, inflated price (insurance company paid) and very defensive when asked to fix their poor job. Ended up taking it to another shop to fix the problem paid by the insurance company.
