Established in 1990.

Auto Plus was started in 1990 by Mike Brend as a small, one man operation. Since then Auto Plus has grown to 3 locations-​Addison, Lombard, and Aurora. Our growth is because we have an unwavering belief in providing excellent auto repair and service along with superior customer service. Because we know getting your car repaired can be inconvenient, we offer FREE loaner vehicles, FREE shuttle service, Saturday hours, late night/​early moring drop off and a comfortable waiting area with refreshments and WIFI access. We also stand behind our work with an impressive 24 month/24,000 mile warranty! We are here to help guide our clients to the best solution for their vehicles. Whether they are keeping it for the next few months or the next few years, we help them reach their goal by providing a free vehicle inspection each time they come in for service. This way they will know the exact condition of their car – what needs to be done now and what can wait. We want to be your auto repair shop!

Mike was an ambitious 21 year old who always knew what he wanted to do. His goal was to own his own auto repair shop. So on July 1, 1990 the doors to Auto Plus were opened. Since then his vision to provide excellent auto repair and superior customer service has expanded to 3 locations. His company, Auto Plus, purchased CK Auto Repair in 2005 and Farnsworth Auto in 2010. There are now Auto Plus locations in Addison, Lombard and Aurora. Quality of work and customer satisfaction are his top priority. He believes continuing staff training and up to date technology are extremely important to in this ever changing, fast paced industry. Auto repair may be more advanced today than when he first started the business in 1990 but his commitment to high quality auto repair and putting the customer first will never change.

Friendly, quick and honest with fair prices. I went in for an oil change and they found an axle seal leak and probably saved me the hassle of a tow and a lot more repairs. I was given a loner car for free that ran great so I was able to easily drop the car off, go to work and come back at the end of the day with no hassle.

SCAM! Went in to get estimate on weather stripping for window. I have collected few quotes, being over the hour long process it takes. this guy was quoting me over three hours work. Telling me they have to take the door off. When online resources and many other repair guys didn’t. Labor here is about 100/​hr when everyone around him is significantly less! UP CHARGE!!! SCAM!!!

We have been using C K for over 10 years. Great service and reasonable rates. One of the best items they have is their auto cards it gives you 4 oil changes 2 free flate tire fixes and a sundry of other ways to s ave.
Our famly of 6 use them and now Ihave a few neighbors that go to them.
Their manger Jacki is great and she always help you when you are there.
One more thing they have loaner cars when your car is in the shop.

I really like this place and you cannot get a better deal on their oil changes! They send out awesome coupons through the mail and every so often I get an email as well. I really like the fact that you’re able to book appointments online (which I HIGHLY recommend since they are ALWAYS booked!). The staff are friendly and the waiting room is really nice and they have a small selection of free refreshments as you wait (pepsi, water, coffee).
I have a beater car, it was my college car and I’m pretty much driving it until it dies. That being said, I’m fully aware of what is breaking down on my car and just want to stop by to get it’s oil changed which is my reason for my 4 stars. When I arrive, even before they take my car, I ALWAYS tell them that I’m aware of the problems on my car (check engine light never goes off for many reasons) and that I don’t need anything else today. Although somehow, after my oil change is over, I get a lecture on what needs to be done on my car and that I won’t pass my emissions, etc. I do understand that oil changes are NOT where these places make their money but the lectures are given to me as if I’m stupid and completely blind to anything car related at all. I appreciate the advice but I feel that it takes a good 10 – 15 extra minutes of them giving me a spiel and me saying, «No thank you, not today» every couple of minutes. It does almost remind me of a car salesman the way they try to get their services onto me.
Otherwise, this a really nice place. Service is top and I’m glad that they are really on top of things when it comes to my car. When the day comes for me to finally get my «adult» car, I will definitely take any and all advice when it comes to servicing it.

Went in with a blinker issue, had changed bulb twice in past year & it went out again. They looked at the connections, no issue there so they replaced it FOR FREE & said «give us a call if this one goes out too, we’ll take a look again.» Fine with me, guy was super friendly working the desk & had the small town «meh, no big deal this ones on us.»
My car power steering went out too but after dropping it off & realizing it was part of the big GM recall, I called these guys back & told them never mind. I have to take it to a dealership for that issue. He was understanding, didn’t try & talk me into letting them fix it. He suggested I take it to a dealership as well since they’d cover it.

My car was having some trouble and making a really annoying sound so I took it here. They took it for a test drive, diagnosed the problem, and were able to fix it. Also got a quick appointment and was driven back to my house with the shuttle service that they offer.
The employees I came into contact with were friendly. I was also explained what was causing the problem and what my options were. Just based in my first experience here, I’ll most likely be taking my car to this place next time it acts up.

I’ve taken 3 of my cars there for oil changes over the last 2 years. Most recently I took my Jetta in for service and even got this pimp fuchsia regal to drive as a loaner while it was getting fixed! The atmosphere is very upbeat and you never hear them talking down about anyone. I highly recommend!

Great place! Fast service! I was able to get a last minute appt. for an oil change. The staff was very friendly. They were quite busy but were able to replace my brake pads last minute. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. They’re knowledgable and trustworthy.

This review is for a simple oil change.
Firstly, I should say my oil change was free due to a voucher given to me after donating blood. That’s awesome for this place to do that — giving oil changes for those that donate blood.
Lastly, I should say the service and personnel working here are super, super nice. It was high-​paced and busy (a good sign that people are selecting this shop for service) and yet they were in a good mood.
They changed my oil, filter, rotated my tires, 65-​point inspection, and topped of my fluids. Awesome. They also said that absolutely no additional work was needed — car was in great shape… I know people are wary of auto shops claiming cars need work, but I somehow trust CK. They did say my tires needed replaced (I agree… I’m at nearly 50k miles) they gave me a quote and offered to meet or beat prices I may find. Even if I do buy tires elsewhere, I’ll go here to have them put on.

Got my transmission fixed here. So far so good!!!
Our Ford Focus was having trouble shifting gears (automatic transmission). We originally took it to a Ford garage (BIG MISTAKE). They told us we needed a NEW transmission and that it would cost us $ 5,100 !!! HOLY COW!!! We were just floored by this news. It is a 2006 Ford Focus with 66,000 miles. How can the transmission be totally shot ??? We asked if it was really necessary to REPLACE the whole transmission, and they maintained that it was. I researched online and most people said that when their transmission went bad, it cost them under $ 3,000 to fix it. I asked the Ford garage why they were charging so much. They didn’t have any good reason except that «those other garages do shotty work.» So we finally started calling around for second opinions.
CK Auto told us that they couldn’t believe that the transmission was shot, and that $ 5,000 is just ridiculous, so we took the car here. They rebuilt the transmission for $ 2,400, and so far the car runs great! They also warranteed the transmission for 2 years or 24,000 miles. Not bad!
Everyone at CK from the staff at the front desk to the mechanics that I spoke with were very knowledgeable and friendly. The turnaround time on our transmission fix was pretty fast too — 4 – 5 business days. They called us to keep us updated on the progress of the fix. Their final price was exactly the same as their estimate. They even offered us a loaner car while it was being fixed. I can’t image the transmission fix going better. I’m only sorry that we took the car to Ford first (we lost $ 260 in diagnostic fees at Ford).
I will definitely take my care here again. I think this garage is a great find!

Very friendly and helpful when my car broke down. It’s a smaller place and can get pretty busy, but the prices were very reasonable compared to others in the area. I get newsletters in the mail with coupons every once in a while and they are fantastic in dealing with customers. Even though it’s a little bit of a drive to get there, it’s worth it for the service and prices. Thanks guys!

I definitely recommend this garage. They found and fixed a very serious problem in a few hours that stumped Pep boys three days in a row. In addition, they drove my car before, to see how it was running and after they repaired it, to make sure that everything was fixed. While they had my car in the shop, without me asking, they went ahead and checked over the rest of the car, free of charge, to make sure nothing else was wrong. I really appreciated the time and care they put in.
