Awesome service. Such nice people and beautifully done nails ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend. Their prices are cheaper than most places but the quality is better than most also. Plus its even cheaper for students!

I loved this place! Everyone was super friendly and my no chip was only $ 25! And they also have me a gift wen I left of some free lotion. There wasn’t that many people so it was a nice calm environment, they also did so many layers of the no chip nail polish that I know it is sure to last a while! I definelyy recommend this place, I believe it may be my new nail salon!

My new favorite nail place. It is super close to my home. They do a great job. The prices are very reasonable. $ 25 for a no chip manicure. Right now they are having a special on pedicures $ 20 if you go Monday thru Thursday.
I love the pedicures here. The massaging chair relaxes me and the leg massage during the pedicure is always good.
I recently invested in some 4^th of July nail art on my toes. So cute!
Only complaint: this is a small place with 3 employees. Therefore, they do not have late hours and they are not open on Sunday. However, they do not mind if I bring my young son who plays a games on my cell phone while I get my nails done. Gotta love that.

So I went here a week ago first time, and they had a sign that said $ 20 pedicure, so I had a pedicure, and right in the middle of it, the guy doing it, cut me, I felt it and I wouldn’t stop bleeding, so he stand up and leave while other girl came to finish my pedicure, either one of them at any time said sorry… they just pretend like nothing happened, finally when I was paying I was told it was $ 23 because $ 20 is for students, but the sign said nothing about student prices. my toe is finally feeling better after a week.. Horrible service I will never be back

Let me start off by saying that I have been going to Essense Nails when I needed for years now. Which has only been two or three times because the previous couple owners did no impress me at all. They were very pushy, I did not like the way my nails turned out, just a very stressful environment whenever I went in there.
One of my families neighbors gets her nails done every Saturday and SWORE by these new owners and she gave my mother, sister and I each a gift certificate for manicures there. So on March 23^rd we all made appointments at 4:30 for three no-​chip manis.
* Okay, so my mother is in her 50’s and has never once gotten her nails done in a professional salon. She uses the same color nail polish and only paints her nails when she has the time. She cleans houses for her job and feels that she there is no point in doing her nails because they will chip the next day anyway. So, for her birthday we decided to go. these new owners respected her and did not treat her like an idiot when she asked a bunch of questions and got nervous. *
The first thing that impressed me about the new Essense Nails is the interior design. It is very bright and spacious and CLEAN! Which was a pleasant surprise. It does not have an overpowering smell, unlike many other salons. They immediately gave us the nail colors we had to choose from and let us take our time deciding on our colors. They did my mothers nails first and took their time making sure she had the best experience possible! Which she so did — she asked a million questions and they happily answered all of them and promised 3 weeks out of the manicure with no chips or peeling. (My mother said no way — and quite frankly so did I because I had never had a no-​chip last that long!!)
Anyway, two hours later. all three of us were done and we were VERY impressed with the results. My mom was so excited about how shiny and smooth her nails looked, but all she kept saying was «let’s see how they look at the end of the work week!»
*So I texted her a few days ago and asked her how they looked — NOT ONE CHIP and still as shiny as ever on all three of us! We are all very impressed and my mom is already talking about going back again!!*

They are under new ownership. I get my nails, feet, and eyebrows done here. They are great!!! I also like that they don’t push services on you. Prices are average.

They have recently gone under new ownership! They have great prices and both are so nice and friendly and always happy with my nails!!! One of the only places I have gone to that have not told me I need my eyebrows done.

Sooo I really wanted to love this place because the owners are wonderful people but my no chip started chipping & peeling the next day. I had to go to another shop in Elmhurst for them to make over my botched manicure. They do give great pedicures & really are wonderful people but I can’t get over my bad no chip experience… Sorry essence nails

This is by far the best place to get a pedicure Tom and Wife Amy own this great salon, excellent polish application, lasts so long, there hot stone massage and warm towels are to die for !! Reasonable Priced too !! And this is under new managment !! Vivian no longer works or owns this establishment.

Owner talked on the phone (with an earpiece) almost the entire time I was there. Manicure did not include any hand massage. Pedicure was good, but I felt like I was bothering the owner with my business as she chatted on the phone and then occasionally stopped working to look at something on TV as she worked. (TV is too loud also; not a relaxing environment).

Under New Ownership. They have completely remodeled the entire salon. It is very inviting and comfortable. I have been coming to this location for the past 10 years, and have been there for each owner. Vivian and her team has done a great job to keep me coming back. There is still a familiar face working with them, I am very happy to see Lan there.
The location is great for me, so I will continue to get my nails done there.

Please support this nail salon! Essence has recently changed hands, and I was impressed today by the kind, attentive nature of the staff. Their prices are quite reasonable, their staff is perky and helpful. Best of all, this salon has the BEST LEG MASSAGE that you could ask for when having a pedicure. Essence Nails is a well-​kept secret in Lombard. Please try it out to help them stay in business… you won’t be disappointed.

The price is ok and usually you can get out in under an hour, but thats because they really don’t take their time and do a good job. I had thick nails and they were not straight. Around the cuticle it was a bit lumpy and not filled in good. I should have complained but at that point I figured that this happened before when I came here and maybe they just didn’t care if they did a crappy job. I mean if you looked at my nails you could see it looked halfassed. So I just decided that even though its minutes from my house, I’d drive out of my way to get a good nail job done. Pedi’s were strange. Tech didn’t ever crack a smile or say a word and tickled me like crazy. She was very not interested in giving a pedi. Thats pretty much how I felt the two or three times I went there.

typical Vietnamese nail salon. not impressive but a good value ($ 35 for a mani/​pedi). they were a tad harsh when scrubbing the bottom of my feet, but i found it a bit odd for them to be using Dawn dish soap to clean my feet (maybe it’s just me, but i have never had any pedicure in which they utilized Dawn to clean my feet). when i looked at my nails after my manicure i noticed that they were slanted… almost a diagonal square tip. well, i guess you get what you pay for.
