sorry don but its true your store sucks you are kinda ok but that’s it, ok people listen up don owns at least nine other businesses here so he hardly has time give a sh… about this one… but! good he is probably selling his ups stores, that is why your getting more terrible service than usuall, also more good news the lodi pack and ship has new owners, mrs darius has givin the business to someone, hopefully they run it as nicely as dave did, sorry you left us so soon dave. hopefully the new ownars of the ups store, if it happens… will read these reviws and get a clue, yall be cool!

I think this place is awesome. Hasn’t done me wrong. They are pretty much on top of there stuff. I think everyone should at least try there service. They are also in a great location

I have used this UPS store twice. However both times, they’re incredibly disrespectful. I believe in being kind to everyone & giving ppl the benefit of the doubt. I almost didn’t even wrote this review. However, at this store, it seems to be common to be blatantly rude.
Even right now, I’m not mad… But I don’t believe I’ll support this location at all anymore.
Phone encounter: I asked for a shipping quote on the phone (I didn’t know I needed a zip code instantly, I had everything else ready though). And the man on the phone, interrupted me before I had finished, for a zipcode. So I scrambled for one real quick (took about 5 seconds), I think I said «oh lemme grab that, just a sec», & I heard him sigh, then hang up.
Today, I called about a different shipping order. Again ask for the zip code, and this time I had it on my phone. Myphone froze for a few moments before I can quote it back to him. No biggie, I still had at hand. And I could hear him on the phone talking to another person, «yeah someone in the phone, she’s just being annoying». I was shocked. I didn’t confront him, I probably should’ve said something. But I guess I was just unprepared to hear that/​respond to that.
So I don’t see myself recommending them to anyone. I know customer service isn’t easy– I’ve done it. But I never lost my friendly demeanor, even to the rude customers. So I would just recommend someone to spend their money to an honorable company who can appreciates their customers.

Can someone please open a decent UPS store in Lodi? I come here probably once a week OUT OF NECESSITY and have had to wait over 30 minutes before just to drop off a package because I needed a pick up slip! Staff is ok but they need more workers! Today was the final straw… I showed up at 1:30 in the afternoon with big boxes in my car because I know they are open until 4 on Sunday And after lugging them, there is a sign on the door that they are closed for the Superbowl! Are you kidding me? I’m not even sure this was the business doing it because the sandwich board was still out front and someone was inside so it was probably just a lazy employee. Either way, I’ll drive to Stockton from now on. It’s worth it.

Personally, I’ve always liked this place and had good experiences at this location until today. Don, was working alone, which I get it. I assumed «things happen» being the understanding person that I am. As in here standing in line, he started «bragging» to the guy in the front of the line about going from 14 to 4 employees because «they deserved it». Who does that? Totally unprofessional. I’m way less younger and even I know that you don’t bad mouth. Even him saying, «we’ve had dorm unfortunate events, etc» would have been better. No thanks.

Stopped in there this morning to mail a package to AT&T The gentleman that helped me had horrible customer service skills not a clean store at all i won’t be back

I don’t normally like to complain with a negative review, but this place has rubbed me the wrong way 3 times in a row… Horrible customer service. It’s always slow and it just an unprofessional experience in all the wrong ways. You’ll get your package shipped, but there will be a hassle.

The owner is extremely rude and it shows that his 10 other businesses are far more important to him. He is very mean to his employees in front of customers. They lost our mail several times including our personal checks and the bank had to resend them 3 times. We got them finally because we got a real post office box with usps. It is sad that UPS does nothing about this.

Went in yesterday and the worker named Spencer seemed like he had Better things to do than to help me and other customers. When i called the manager he said some people are allowed to have bad days. He was the rudest man I have ever dealt with and I ended up leaving and will never deal with this ups store ever again.

This is the worst ups store I’ve ever been to. Spencer was the rudest employee I have ever encountered. He was rude and mean because he had to finger print me. As he let me know it’s a job he hates. As I was waiting he continued to say I hate my life I hate finger printing. Then I talked to manager don he couldn’t care less. He said maybe he is having a bad day!!! Just because you are having a bad day doesn’t mean be rude to customers!!! The whole time spencer was touching me to finger print me he was running his mouth about me. Very unprofessional very bad attitude!!! I will never visit store again. Neither will any of my friends or family. I have never been treated so badly by a person

All the negative reviews say the same thing and they are spot on! I used to use this location for shipping, but finally decided convenience is not worth supporting a business that I feel is unethical. EVERY time I used this location I was exposed to a new and sleezy tactic.
Don the owner is an arrogant business man. His employees are generally slow and not very knowledgable about the shipping industry. Sense of urgency is not a job requirement. They act as though they are afraid of the owner. It seems as though he (Don) creates a hostile work environment. All this is my opinion, and obviously also a lot of other Unilocalers!
Now on to the facts. They overcharge and participate in unethical business practices. They add a HUGE surcharge to USPS shipping fees, without telling the consumer. I have personally left this UPS store, headed directly to the post office. Shipped the item $ 14.00 less than the UPS store quoted me for USPS. I believe they do this so you will use UPS as the carrier. I have asked the employee directly how much they add to the USPS charge and he stuttered and said it is a small fee, but he couldn’t give me the exact amount. Well it’s more like double the charge, sometimes more, depending on size of item. They have a right to add whatever surcharge they want, they just need/​should disclose the surcharge amount. I witnessed several customers ask for USPS charges, then ended up changing to UPS because it was cheaper. When in reality USPS would have been much cheaper. Again, I don’t care, sometimes my time is worth the extra money. But let me make that decision, don’t deceive me.
They also do not use the most cost effective package to ship. I had a clothing item, that would easily fit into a UPS envelope, yet they wanted to put it in a box. Boxes are more expensive to ship than an overnight envelope and also not free. When I asked for a free UPS envelope they were not happy and the employee looked kind of scared he was giving me an envelope.
I will no longer use this store, due to their ethics. I live within a block, yet drive to PostalAnnex on Hutchins for all my shipping needs. They are amazing. Honest, fast and very efficient. The gentleman that works the counter is a prior employee of the UPS store and provides amazing and ethical customer service.

Customer service is seriously lacking here but I blame that on the owner. The employees look like they’re scared to death and the owner is flippant and condescending. I left the store feeling like I’d been scolded for bothering to ask questions. Why would you open a customer service business if your objective is to make your customers feel like they’re wasting your time? I don’t get it.

Went here with intentions of paying for a mailbox for a year or more to use for our business shipping address so we would have been good customers. The staff was rude. I grabbed a flyer that offered a small discount when you pay for a box for 6 months. When I presented to the worker he said it was expired and I couldn’t have the deal. Well, it wasn’t like a random flyer I found in a stack of coupons. There were literally 30 – 40 of those same flyers in a small display on one of their counters. Good customer service would call for them to give me the discount. He didn’t. Whatever, I was still willing to do business but he was so rude after I questioned him about the coupon that I decided to take business elsewhere. And what was even more funny was the coupon were 2 years past expiration! The mistake was totally on them. I was amazed at how rude they were and that they still manage to be in business. I won’t ever go back. I’d rather support one of the other local businesses that offer shipping services. I suggest going to pack n ship and having Lindsay or Jeanette help you.

The absolute worst shipping store I have ever been in. After driving from out of town to meet my wife for a notary, there was a line out the door and only one worker. When I asked why, he said that the other worker had walked out. I asked for the owners number and explained the situation. His response? «Well thats too bad, you are just going to have to wait because I’m busy at my warehouse and there is nothing that can be done.» How’s that for customer service. The kid behind the counter was a saint for dealing with what he had to deal with and not walking out. I know I would have.

It’s pretty hard to have this low of an average rating for a basic shipping store, but I see why. I was in the store today for 30 minutes. There were two people ahead of me when I arrived and the young associate was SLOW as molasses. It was literally the slowest worker I’ve seen in a while. So I waited, and I waited. After 20 minutes the supervisor came in. He had some of HIS wine that he was going to ship. When he arrived the younger associate said he (the supervisor) would help me in one second. Well instead of pitching in on the long line (which was now 6 people), the supervisor started packing up HIS wine. I asked him if he could check me out (I had two quick boxes to ship, no more than one minute) and his response was that he had «$ 1,000 of his wine that he needed to get out!» I then asked him «Well what’s more important, your wine or your customers?» You’d have thought I’d called his momma names! He then flips out on me, his response «My wine is, Jack» (my name is not Jack), you can wait your ass for a minute” I then tell him that I’ve been waiting for 30+ minutes. His response «well hit the road asshole» This is the supervisor! He’s an older man with a terrible, terrible comeover. I told him I was going to post on Unilocal and he said «he didn’t give a flying flip about Unilocal.» So I suggest we not use his service…
I wasn’t asking for anything much, just trying to ship two packages in a reasonable time and UPS was totally unable to do that. I hate to say go to the post office, but it can’t be any worse than this UPS Store branch! (look at the other reviews, need a new manager)

Very poor customer service.
I called close to closing and was told the store was open until 4:00. I let the employee know that I’d be there in 5 minutes to mail a package. The package was already boxed and addressed — just needed postage. I arrived at 3:55, and was told it was too late — the store was closed! I told him I had just talked to him on the phone and had let him know I was on my way, and he had no response… He never made eye contact and moved slowly about the store as he went through his closing routine. No apology or suggestion of other stores that might still be open. This employee is very unmotivated, rude and unprofessional. I will not visit this store again!

The short: Because nobody really wants to mess with the post office
The long: After my mother in law came out for a visit she decided that she didn’t want to bother with her luggage on her trip home so left it behind to be shipped to her house. Well there was no way I was shipping a suitcase with the post office so I dropped it off at the UPS store. When I arrived there was a line of 5 – 6 people and only 2 employees working. They were moving at about the speed of growing grass to get customers out of there which was a little annoying. Once I got up to the front I gave them the info of where the shipment was going and they sold me the box and other supplies to get everything on the way. I paid my tab and got out before the rest of the line really got upset with the slow service.
What works: Ship, pack, and etc all in one stop.
What to improve: Make an effort to look like you are working with a sense of urgency.

Employees seem as if they have no incentive to move more quickly. Line always out the door, they’re never kind to me. Worse than going to the dmv.

Terrible Customer Service and Unprofessional!
I used this UPS Store last year when I was in California to ship some wine back. Since I was once again in California doing some wine tasting, I thought I could do the same thing. Unfortunately, they were closed on Monday (Labor Day). So Tuesday morning, I showed up at 8 am. Not only does their website state they open at 8 am, but so does the sign on their door. There were already 2 people waiting at that point and one of the guys said that «they never open on time.» GREAT! I had a plane to catch in Sacramento and was on a very tight schedule.
By 8:45, no one had showed up and I had to leave to catch my plane. I kept phoning the number, thinking there would be an answering machine or something. There was nothing.
Completely unacceptable. This is NOT how you run a business. Fortunately, I found another place that was capable of shipping wine and they will get my business from this point forward.
This place, is completely unreliable and unprofessional and I don’t recommend it.

Awful customer service.
My boyfriend had called about a half an hour before we arrived to ask about their pricing on a personal mailbox. The guy on the phone seemed nice enough and gave him all the info needed (such as price, what forms of ID were acceptable, etc) and told my boyfriend that they did indeed have boxes open and he could sign up. My boyfriend said great and see ya soon.
Fast forward 25 minutes later and we arrive (we live in Stockton). We stood in line and when the guy finally came up front to help us my boyfriend asked to sign up for the mailbox. The guy stood there for a second then said something along the lines of «Oh we can’t do that, our systems are down.» My boyfriend asked him if he was serious and the guy just said yes, so my boyfriend informed him he just called about a half an hour earlier and then asked if the systems were down then. The guy said yes they were so my boyfriend asked why the guy didn’t tell him that on the phone when he asked if he could come in and sign up and I kid you not, the guy said «I don’t know» and just stood there and stared for a good minute before my boyfriend was like really? After that he said sorry, he didn’t know what to tell us.
What a waste of gas and time, and what crappy service. I’ll skip this location from now on and NOT recommend it to friends.
