Raley’s

Won’t grocery shop anywhere else. The meat department is the most helpful I’ve ever encountered. They’ll basically do whatever they can to help you out.

I dont know how its possible but the remodel has degraded the store. The specialty gluten free/​health section is gone. ¼ of the store is wine now and the hyped produce section seems smaller than before. Raleys… you’re not a liqour store and bevmo or costco has you beat in prices. You are wasting a ton of space for no reason.

Dislike this store. The employees are so mean and have such a attitude

This is the worst javita I’ve ever had! I order them on occasion (once a month when I get a pedicure next door) & I have never had one this color or one that tasted this bad. I asked for a small javita with raspberry flavoring. The consistency is runny & I can’t taste the raspberry. The barista did fill up my cup but I wanted whipped cream & she told me she’d have to dump some out to do that. I didn’t want to waste it so I declined. What I don’t understand is that the person in front of me ordered the same drink (minus the raspberry) and hers looked great. I am disappointed that I paid $ 4.00 for a drink that tastes terrible.

What a shock to walk into Raley’s after a couple of years. I have been in a few other Raley’s lately that out ‘whole foods’ Whole Foods. I could not believe how run down and dirty our Lodi store is! I noticed because I haven’t gone in for so long, I used to be a regular shopper. Much of the produce was in disarray and the floors were filthy. I was pretty shocked.

Fruits and Veggies are always fresh…

Peet’s is available, and since there doesn’t seem to be a standalone Peet’s location here, I’m happy to go to Raley’s since they’re usually good.
We got there only 10 minutes before they were stopping coffee service. The person from the bakery had been cleaning and was quite gracious, despite the time.
She made both of our drinks with an amazing amount of grace and patience, and the drinks were good, as expected.
I missed out on my final free coffee, due to the switch in policies but I just got a $ 5.00 certificate for Something Extra, so I’m not feeling that bad.
Raley’s is a bit expensive at times, but what I buy is usually cheaper than at Save Mart, and I end up shopping between Raley’s, Target, and Safeway to get my non-​Asian groceries.

Raley’s is that grocery store that you go to when you want quality groceries. If you want the best meats or produce, you should choose Raley’s. It’s also a nice family environment. Just make sure you’re dressed nicely because you’re bound to run into people you know if you live in Lodi

Still a fan but disappointed that the rewards program for their Peet’s coffee that I mentioned in my review is no more. They replaced it with something else. Now they’re going to send me coupons to my Something Extra card. Which would be fine if not for the information I got from some employees is true. According to them, the new «rewards» program randomly sends you emails with offers rather than being based on the number of purchases you make. If that’s true, Raley’s truly fails to grasp the concept of a «rewards» card. A rewards card is supposed to give me an incentive to pick your place instead of a competitors. Before I would go to the Raley’s Peet’s Coffee in the morning but with this change, It’ll be exclusively Starbucks.
On the plus side, their WiFi seems to have improved since the last time I wrote about them.

Thank you for selling local organic produce. I shop here because of your organic produce section as well as your health food section that has tons of products in the raw. It’s nice that a local grocery store listens and caters to what the customers want in Lodi :)

The short: Because sometimes you want to be in a grocery store with more than 2 lanes open and will open more when a line forms.
The long: Even though I don’t get a lot from the big grocery stores when I have to go to one this would be the one I pick before the others. The store is usually well stocked and they have a wide range of items. The store is clean and it is pretty easy to find the things you need and get out. This particular store has a section that is dedicated specifically to the wines of Lodi which is nice if you want to have something local. I also like that they are on top of getting lines open when the lines to check out get even remotely long unlike other stores in town that almost always only have 2 lines open even if 50 people hop in line. My one complaint about this store is the produce section is real weak. For all the fresh produce grown around here and they have almost no selection and variety.
What works: A nice, clean, and stocked grocery store
What to improve: A wider variety in the produce section. It is pretty lacking.

Yep I have to update my review of Raleys! Yesterday was the first time back since my prior review/​bad experience here.
I wanted some low calorie snacks that were organic, and Raleys is far better & more reasonably priced than the «health food» store in town.
I found some tasty onions that were coated in kale, dried carrot, etc as well as kale chips. There was a sign stating they were on sale. Joshua, a manager helped me carry all 10 packages, YES 10 packs! to the register & rung me up. Such a nice manager!
I will be doing my shopping at Raleys again! Well, until I get stuck behind another crazy person who takes 30 mins using her wic checks in the express line!

Quite possibly the best grocery store in Lodi.
Some of their prices are a little on the high side but there are many other things that keep me coming back.
PROS:
Really great meat department.
Decent gourmet cheese selection.
Nice selection of natural, organic, and health foods.
The largest organic produce selection of any grocery store in Lodi.
Beautiful floral department.
And what takes the cake…
Buy 6 bottles of wine and get 30% off! Did I mention that they have a pretty good wine selection?
Oh, and the staff are awesome! Really, really great customer service.
CONS:
Some of their pricing is a little on the high side.
Overall, Raley’s keeps me coming back again and again. Always a nice shopping experience.

OMG! This is a good snack, and ice cream store. The ice cream tastes good. The thing I don’t like about it is that they don’t make the ice cream there. U know the towering tiramisu. The employees are always helpful.

I love this store for the fresh produce, deli items, organic food selection and friendly staff… for that I’d give them 5 stars BUT the checkout is soooo slow and patience trying that they end up getting 3 stars from me. The cashiers themselves are speedy it’s just that there isn’t enough of them. They need to either hire additional cashiers or add some self checkout terminals. Please!

On the plus side, the meat and produce is top notch as well as the customer service in the pharmacy. You will however, pay for it. I stopped shopping here due to the continual lack of staffing (long wait times) at the front of the store. So between that and the pricing, there are too many other choices in Lodi for groceries.

I have been to this Raley’s many times before and usually just come to pick a few items from the produce section (I always prefer to buy my fruits and veggies at the location I am visiting instead of bringing them from home) and occasionally from the alcohol section.
This store in general is pretty clean and the aisles are neat and usually pretty adequately stocked. Sometimes the prices for the bottles of wine here can actually be cheaper than BevMo, but not always. The produce section looks clean and fairly fresh.
But the only complaint I have is the long lines. I have been here in the mornings and in the evenings and I don’t understand why another check out stand just can’t be open if there more than 5 people in line, especially if there are other employees walking around, not doing much. Other markets I have been to usually open another check stand if such a situation occurs, but I guess not here. Perhaps people in Lodi are just more patience and more willing to wait in line than people from LA I guess.
Anyways, there is always plenty of parking here.

Before Stockton grocers knew it was important to their customers to have access to good organic whole foods I used to travel to Lodi (12 – 14 miles from home) to get my weekly produce. I always wondered how Lodi got a Raley’s before Stockton did, guess I’ll never know… maybe Raley’s is a lil’ snooty? Nah, that can’t be it… they use market research for these kinds of decisions… don’t they?
Any way, it was kinda fun making my trek to Lodi to hunt down the weeks produce. At the time I was a single mom so, $$$ did count. I rarely added anything else to my cart due to the inflated prices.
