Diamond In The Ruff

I hadn’t heard of this place until I was looking for groomers in Lodi and came across Diamond in the Ruff on Unilocal.I dropped our dog off at 10:30 and she was done by 12:45! Pretty great that they don’t keep your dog all day, just as they advertise! There was no dog smell when you walk in and it looks clean inside. We picked up our dog who can be anxious at times when away from the family and she seemed great! She was happy to see us, of course, but didn’t seem traumatized or scared by the experience. I had them shave her as short as possible and it looks really good, no weird shave lines and her paws look so neat and clean. Before taking her in I always shaved her myself with dog clippers and I could never get her paws very well and the cut obviously never looked as good as the professionals. I’m pretty sure she knows how good she looks too since she’s been prancing around since we picked her up;) Oh, price was fair. We paid $ 47 for cut, shampoo/​condition, nail trim, glands and I think they take care of the ears as well. Highly recommend.

I’ve brought my Pomeranian here quite a few times now and it’s my favorite spot hands down!
The staff takes such good care of my little fluff and they make her look beautiful after… It’s pretty hysterical to see your dog when she knows she looks pretty too

Super happy with this business! My little fur baby has sensitive skin and weird hair that’s prone to matting. I’ve taken him to other groomers and gotten him back with cuts, ingrown hairs, and itchy skin. I told the ladies at diamond in the ruff about all these problems and they didn’t seem worried at all. I left my baby there confident that he was in good hands and I was right! I got him back with no mats and looking cute as heck! The ladies were very nice and professional and they have to be patient because I know my dog can be a lot to handle because he’s very nervous and anxious. I left with another appointment scheduled and I’m excited I finally found a good groomer! Thank you diamond in the ruff!

Took my dogs in today on short notice. The owners were very accommodating. They did a great job on Roxie and Emma. Their nails are trimmed, ears are clean, they smell great all at a very fair price. This will definitely be my new go to groomer in Lodi. If you have dogs I’d definitely recommend trying them out next time you need your pets groomed.

They were very professional, friendly and did an excellent job grooming my long hair German Shepherd.

I can not vouch for how well they groom dogs, however I can comment on the fact that they are prejudice in regards to dog breeds. My parents have a very friendly heeler/​pitt mix who is a cute 40lb inside dog and well behaved as can be… however without even considering seeing him in person they denied wanting to groom him because of the pitt mix. Animal lovers should consider taking their business else where.

I have taken my 2 large dogs (German Shepard /​chow mix and border collie /​chow mix) to these wonderful ladies. My German Shepard chow mix has seizures when she gets stressed out or excited, and they have done wonderful with her. My dogs are treated with respect, love, kindness and I will continue to take my dogs to them. I don’t know why someone said they don’t take large breeds because they have taken both of mine. They are very accommodating and even gets my dogs in at last minute. this place.

Based on the good reviews and five star rating on Unilocal I decided to call for information on grooming and prices for family dog. When I called the woman was polite and nice and gave me an estimate price for our 96 pound German Shepherd. I was happy with what she said. I didn’t know much about grooming and the $ 60 estimate depending on the work seemed good to me so I made an appointment. When my brother took our dog to the appointment right away he said the facial expressions the women gave him and our dog he knew there was a problem. Looking at the other smaller dogs that were there he had a feeling they would not be taking our dog. Turns out that is exactly what happened. They ladies refused to take chopper because they were afraid he would bite her. Our dog is 8 years old, making him 56 aka senior status. What upsets me and disappoints us is that when I called to make an appointment I expressed that he was 96 pounds and the woman was very much okay with that. Then for us to waste our time because they refused service is very inconvenient when we do not live in town. Bottom line, the rude service received upon arrival and refusal of service after making an appointment is what is making me give a poor rating.

I love this place! I have taken my babies here twice and haven’t been disappointed. The owner and staff are great and you can really tell they love their job. I don’t get many days off and they have worked with my schedule to accommodate my kids and I. If you want a groomer that will take care of your babies this is the place!

I took my red Doberman in and they did an amazing job! They have to be one of the nicest people I have ever met! The price is perfect and their appointments are super convenient! They finished my dog less than an hour! I can’t thank them enough for all the helpful advice they gave me. My dog has a terrible skin allergy and they knew exactly how to treat him. I look forward to taking him in again!

I took my sweet little Persian cat here and they did a awesome job on the shave and bath! She looks good and feels good. I would highly recommend this groomer. This is definitely my new place! Love it!

Let me just begin by saying that my dogs can not get out of the truck quick enough to go see Ronnette. They know when we are getting close to the shop and make sure that I don’t miss my exit. We’ve taken our dogs to Diamond In The Ruff for years and have not once been disappointed. It is readily apparent that a great deal of time is spent making sure that every detail of their haircuts are perfect. Not only is Ronnette a top-​notch groomer but she possesses a wealth of knowledge of dog-​related problems and their solutions as well. Our giant schnauzer had his ears cropped and she was even able to give us a hands-​on demonstration of how to put on his wraps ourselves so that we didn’t have to spend a fortune at the vet. I honestly can not say enough great things about Diamond In The Ruff, they’re just that good!

I just took my toy poodle here for the first time today & they did an awesome job. Unlike other groomers in town I was able to pick my dog up after only an hour & ½. The younger girl who checked us in was really friendly, personable & she went out of her way to help me pick out the perfect cut. When I went in there to pick her up I wasn’t 100% happy with the length so the groomer offered to fix it & told me to come back in 15 minutes & when I returned she looked perfect. My poodle is a very shy & nervous little girl & when I picked her up she was really happy with her little tail wagging, I will be returning & I recommend them to everyone !

I’ve had Ronnette groom my dogs for over 15 years. She has tons of dog-​sense and is an outstanding groomer. With her daughter, Sam as part of the business, I know my dogs are always in the best hands and groomed to perfection!

There is nothing in my world that I hold to be more dear and precious than
my dog «Tucker». I trust Ronette and her family with Tucker. She grooms him
beautifully, her shop is always clean, and her appointments are always as
scheduled, both drop off and pick up. Tucker drives in from Stockton because
this is the finest groomer in the area. Tucker is somewhat spoiled, and Ronette
is sensitive to him. She also allows him to pay with his own American Express
card. I will always remember that when I had a very major illness, Ronette
offered to do anything she could for Tucker and I and was willing to drive
to Stockton to do so. We are truly blessed to have her presence in our lives.

I’ve always had troubles finding a good groomer for my pup. I was searching Unilocal for a near by groomer to try something new when I came across this cute little one. My baby needed serious help but with my work schedule I never have time so the owner suggested I bring him half an hour before I go to work. So she took the time to get to her shop at 7:30 in the morning just to take care of my baby. She took care of him all day until I got off of work which I am so thankful for because now my puppy looks great and smells wonderful! And she even took care of a couple of cuts he had from scratching himself so much! Thank you! If you’re looking for a groomer! You’ve found her! She’s amazing!!!

Contrary to the numerous positive reviews, my experience wasn’t so grand. My dog’s fur (he’s a long haired dashchund mix) looked very choppy. His feet were trimmed so badly that we had to cut excess long hair ourselves. If there were positives, it would be that they did a good job bathing him and it looks like they do a nice job on fluffy dogs from what I saw. The place also seemed to have a friendly atmosphere except for the employee who I was greeted by. She have off a know-​it-​all attitude that was a bit uncomfortable. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I am now in the process of finding a new place to take my dog.

Wow! I used another groomer for years. I was NEVER happy with the cut my cocker always came home with an off cut and the would keep her ALL day. My cocker has been there twice and wow. She looked incredible both times and they always have her done within 2 – 3 hours. It is a bit pricey BUT if you want quality work you need to pay the price I only wish I could afford to have all 8 of my other dogs groomed here. I groom my own babies but my cockers’ hair is just to thick. Thank you so much I will use Diamond in the Ruff forever!

I was very happy with Ronette, the owner of the shop. She is definitely a «dog person» and you can tell that she loves what she does for a living. Her shop is decorated so cute, like a Parisian salon, and it is very clean. Ronette was great with my dogs, they seemed to take to her well.
The pricing is competitive and about what I expected to pay for my little ones. She does everything! Bathing, grooming, nail trimming, and even teeth brushing! Yep, teeth brushing!
The location is easy and convenient for me. She is located in a small complex on the corner of Turner Rd. and Sacramento St. The complex has plenty of parking, so it’s an easy in and an easy out.
As for the appointment length, both of my dogs were done in a couple of hours. One thing that I do not like about OTHER groomers in town, is that you drop your dogs off in the morning and pick them up in the early evening. That means that they sit in a kennel or are tethered up all day. Ronette treats the dogs appointments like a haircut appointment. She starts working on them when they arrive and she works on them until they are finished. She calls you to pick them up as soon as they’re finished. A much better and less stressful environment for the dogs.
I was very happy with my dogs last grooming appointments. So thankful to have a good groomer so close to home!
