History

Established in 1929.

Since 1882 five generations of Atwoods have been printing in Stockton/​San Joaquin County and surrounding areas. John ventured out on his own April 1, 1973 in Stockton with John Atwood Graphics. In 1978, John Atwood Graphics purchased Big Valley Printing. Surprising all of us, in 2006, Big Valley Printing purchased Abrahamson Printing in downtown Lodi.

Business Owner

John is the fourth generation for printing in his family. His daughter, June Atwood Aaker is following in the family footsteps. Known in the San Joaquin Valley since 1882 as Atwood Printing in Stockton the business was sold to KP Graphics in 1967 or 68. John left and opened John Atwood Graphics on April fool’s day (telling people, ‘no joking around’) 1973. In 1978, John purchased Big Valley Printing. In 2006, John surprised his family and clients by purchasing Abrahamson Printing. Needless to say, the family has seen amazing things in the printing world. Such history is something we are extremely proud of.
