Specialties
Welcome to Turtle Dove Studio! I specialize in Maternity, Newborn, High School Senior portraits, as well as family and children’s photos. I love to start with maternity photos and continue on with a family to newborn, children and family photos. Capturing a child’s mile stones is definitely a privilege that I cherish. Almost as much as the families I’m capturing them for I would say. From newborn photos, to a child starting to sit up, then stand up and especially a 1 year old Cake Smash session! Hopefully these are just a few moments I will share with a family as they grow. No matter what stage your family is in, it is always a great idea to update your family photo. I have a classic approach and I will talk with you about your likes and dislikes and come up with the image that you have always imagined. I can work with you out of my at-home-studio or at a number of beautiful Bay Area locations. I have very reasonable prices and can construct a package to fit your needs.
Please note that all sessions are by appointment, so please contact me soon so that I may offer you the best day and time that works for you. I can accommodate almost any schedule with enough notice. I can’t wait to hear from you!
History
Established in 2013.
Turtle Dove Studio officially became a business a year and a half ago but has been in the making for about 22 years. My passion for photography started in high school when I joined the yearbook club. I have been studying photography ever since. My foundation in the fundamentals of film photography has given me a great base to work in the creativity of digital photography. I have photographed many different subjects including newborns, children, families, sporting events and parties. Through out the years I have found that I have a great affinity for newborns and families. Family structures change so quickly. I feel that it is important to capture a snapshot of each stage of life and I would love to help you do just that.

Since I was a child I have always been more of an artsy person. I love to draw, color, and paint. I also love photography and video. I got the photography bug in the yearbook club in high school. I very often had a camera or video camera with me during high school, even in class. After high school I went to Academy of Art College in San Francisco. There I studied graphic design and computer animation. After that I studied Broadcast and Electronic Arts at SFSU where I was behind a video camera for local sports teams such as SF Giants, SF 49ers, Oakland A’s and the Golden State Warriors. All the while I took photography classes. I finally decided that was the artsy direction I wanted to go in and stick with. So, with the support of my family, that is what I did.
