Mistake

Great customer service by Gladys. She was flexible to meet with us on a weekday evening. Very detailed and answered all of our questions and concerns. Jesse (installer) was a true professional, easy to work with, and the finish product looks great!!! I would highly recommend Gladys and her team.

Had very good experiences to work with Gladys. I installed shutters for the entire house and blinds for the sunroom. Both are very good and I am satisfied. It was a pleasure to work with Gladys. She is willing to listen to your needs and give many good advices. She didn’t just suggest the expensive ones but suggested the ones that meet your needs. The installation was on-​time and smooth. The workers are professional. We had one piece of shutter that has defect. She re-​ordered a new one and replaced it without any problem. I would suggest them to my friends.

Easy, professional, fast and affordable. What’s not to like? Gladys is great and easy to deal with, a real professional. The installers were fast, efficient and right on time. I can’t give a higher recommendation for window shades and blinds!

Very pleased w the process. Would give 4.5 stars if I could. Gladys is very knowledgable and came in w the best price for the same exact product I received estimates on from other businesses. We love our window shades and will be a repeat customer. Installation was quick and painless. Happy to support a female owned small business.

Really disappointed. We are now in our 4^th week after being told our shutters and blinds are ready and still waiting for installation. Apparently the only time the installer had was Sunday several times, which does not work for us. I find it impossible that there is literally no other time to get this taken care of. We were stood up this past Saturday after changing our plans to accommodate the installation. And again earlier this week we were promised to have installation Tuesday or Wednesday. Now we are being told that a new installer had been hired and they should be contacting us asap to get installed, and that we were the top priority… no contact yet in over a day.
We had used Viu in the past to purchase shutters and had a great experience, they must have gotten too big and can’t seem to manage simple scheduling. Now we are nervous about the quality of the end product. Will update when we get installed… whenever that may actually be.

took a shot on viu windows based on the previous Unilocal reviews and gladys and team did not disappoint. the entire process from inital estimate to completed installation was a smooth and easy experience. communication was great and very prices reasonable. jeff and james (?) were both fantastic with the installation as well. all in all — a very satisfying experience and i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for window coverings.

So pleased with them! Great service. Reasonable pricing. Fast installation. Great quality. What else can you ask for? Will call them for all my window covering needs.

My wife and I need window treatments for our first home and found Viu Windows & Home on Unilocal.We were NOT disappointed. Gladys came the next day for an estimate. She conveniently met us in the evening at the end of our work days and was extremely thorough with her presentation. Pricing is very reasonable. The customer service AND workmanship is top notch. Thank you to those that helped us through the process: Gladys, Pam, Jeff and Jesse. You guys are all awesome!!!

We had Gladys come back to finish the drapes in our master bedroom… she strikes again. Fabulous job! It looks better than I imagined. I was a bit hesitant at first (since it was a bit pricey for us)– but I couldn’t be happier with the custom linen drapes and kirsch rod. Totally worth it.

We shopped around for window covering options and met with several other companies but Gladys’ knowledge, passion, and expertise led us to chose her.
We went with cord free Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb Shades. «Room darkening» versions for the bedrooms and semi-​opaque everywhere else. For the windows up high and behind furniture we chose the motorized option. It took several weeks from custom order to installation but it was worth the wait. At the time Hunter Douglas was running a promotion… a few weeks after the install we received a pre-​paid American express card!
Her installers Randy and Jeff were great to work with. They were on-​time, professional, and cleaned up.
I highly recommend Gladys and her team to anyone looking for window coverings!

Gladys did an excellent job and suggested the best solutions for our window treatments. We were able to get the whole home window treatment done, very much within our budget. In fact cheaper than other quotes that was given by some vendor’s. We were the first one to get it done from Gladys in this Jordan Ranch community in Dublin. And we are sure it is all worth it. I should also mention about Jeff, my god he did not have any help when he came, other person did not show up, but single handedly, he completed our window treatment. Happy that we saw the Unilocal review and reached out to Gladys. Sure will recommend viu windows to all my friends.

Here is what you need to know about Gladys. She is unlike most «business owners». She actually cares if the job is done right. We were so impressed with her and her team that we bought shutters first for just two rooms (to test her out) and after that experience we just did the whole house. She is a true professional with all the attributes you would associate with one (prompt, courteous, patient, accommodating, values her customers, and actually knows about the products she sells). Novel concept, I know. Our experience went something like this:
1) Called Gladys and left a message, 30 minutes later she called me back and we set up an appointment.
2) I send her window measurements over email.
2) She turns up right on time. None of this we will be there between 9 – 5 stuff.
3) During the appointment we talk about shutter options, we ask a ton of questions and astonishingly she knows the answers. She measures the windows to make sure I didn’t make any mistakes. My wife and I then spend 20 minutes debating which way the shutters should open (right or left), and if we want the shutters split and then what height we want the split to appear. Gladys works with us and provides her informed opinion. We run with what she recommends (we could have saved 20 minutes if we only knew). She documents everything. We review every shutter decision, are given an ETA for the shutters and we write a check.
4) Gladys spins up a computer model of the shutters to make sure our «asks» will work with the dimensions she took earlier. Gladys calls and alerts us to a potential cosmetic issue, my wife and I discuss and defer to Gladys, problem solved.
5) Around two weeks later. Gladys calls and tells us the shutters are ready and we pick an installation time and date.
6) Her guys show up, on time. I ask them a few questions about the install hoping they can answer my questions so I don’t have to watch them every step of the way. They know their stuff (I still watch a little, learning how they do it along the way), the shutters are assembled on site and installed surprisingly quickly. After install I test them all out with the guys present and they look fantastic and function perfectly. They even gave me the spare screw covers just in case I needed one or two in the future. (Probably never will)
7) Gladys calls a few days later to make sure we are happy with the shutters and the installation. Answer = You bet ya!
So no surprises for guessing who I recommend when people mention they are thinking about getting shutters.

My husband and I are so happy that we chose Viu to do 20+windows and 4 gliders in our home. First of all, Gladys is amazing to work with because she is meticulous, friendly, and professional. We had 3 estimates in total and Gladys gave us the best estimate (it was a significant difference compared to her competitors). We had Norman plantation shutters installed throughout the house and cellular vertical shades for the gliders. Unlike her competitors, she actually was super instrumental in helping me figure out the right cellular colors for the gliders and also in helping me figure out the best configuration for all the shutters. Some companies do not offer sill caps but Gladys gladly accommodated my request. In the end, Jeff and his partner, did an amazing job and far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Gladys and Jeff’s team. They really helped improve the look of our home and we feel like we won because we got a great deal too!

My house went through a complete transformation. Thanks to Gladys! I never considered even asking for a quote thinking it’s super expensive but Viu made it possible for me. We love the shutters and blinds we ordered from her, especially the custom shutters for a big arch window in our family room (see photo).
We reached out to a few companies when we were searching for shutters and blinds, but Gladys was the most responsive. She also took a lot of time to explain options to us and was very patient when I changed my mind and had to add to the order.
The installation crew (Jeff and Jessie) are really nice guys too!

We contacted (3) other Window covering distributors before we found Viu.
Viu had the most options and was the most price competitive. Not only that — they had the best customer service and follow up!
I found Viu Wndows through an online search on the Hunter Douglas Website. After reading the great Unilocal reviews, I gave them a call. I’m so glad we did!!!
Gladys came armed with a carload of product samples to look at. We basically knew what type of covering we wanted, but it was nice to have lots of options. Gladys was delightful to work with — no sales pressure at all. She was very candid with her thoughts and I felt comfortable with the colors and materials we chose.
We had a small problem with the manufacturer when the order arrived, but Gladys promptly took care of everything and got the manufacturer snafu quickly and smoothly resolved.
All of the installers that came to our house (Josh — Jeff — James) were great!
