Guess they just opened this place. I had to give it a try. I do enjoy the saigon burrito and shaking cube rice plate. The prices were high compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in San Jose area. It was lunch time, and I had to be back work soon. The burrito was ok. Nothing wow about it, but the wrapping was more of a wrap used on spring rolls. I didn’t like that. The meat was salty. I didn’t like that either. Rating: Food: 3 Service: 3 Ambience: 2(didn’t feel comfortable in the chairs.) Price: 1 Overall: 3 It’s probably the only vietnamese food place in Livermore, but I would rather drive to Oakland or San Jose to enjoy the food.

I love this place! The combos are so affordable, delicious and huge portion! I normally don’t like garlic fries, but I find myself craving their’s. The service is very friendly and quick.

OMG, the saltiest food ever, and I love salt. Ordered a lemon grass pork Banh Mi, Cilantro Chicken Rice Noodle combo, and garlic noodles. I can feel my lip swelling up after eating either of the meat options. Husband joked that he asked for extra MSG. I wonder if he did? We have ordered garlic noodles from multiple establishments in Livermore, and I guess my husband didn’t see it was garlic noodle rather than garlic noodles.

What a nice surprise in the strip mall near our house. I had never had Vietnamese food before & the owner was more than helpful to walk us through the menu, he gave us great recommendations and everything was delicious. We ordered several appetizers and a lunch item(garlic noodles and beef).

Tried this place again. I was hoping the service time would be better. It took about 15 minutes to get my phở. The phở was good but I had to rush my meal to get back to work on time. If you are in a hurry for lunch this may not be the place to go.

Really great food and variety of food options. The owner seemed to care for every details she put in each and every dish that serves to us.

Very slow for lunch time. Tried to call ahead for Togo order, did not answer phone. Not all items on menu avail. I asked for one item and was told it might take to long to make, he could check or I can change order.

Came in for a weekday lunch around 12:15. There were about 4 occupied tables at various stages in their meals. This was the day before Thanksgiving so its possible that its more crowded regularly We ordered two Banh Mi. The food came out quite quickly. Other have complained that it takes a lot of time. That was not the case on this visit. I had the lemoongrass pork Banh Mi($ 6) with extra pâté($ 1). I paid with a credit card, and was informed of an up-charge of $.35 for credit card orders less than $ 10. This was fine with me. I appreciate the ability to be able to pay with a card even if I don’t meet the minimum amount. The sandwich was good overall. The exterior of the bread was nice and crunch, the inside was soft. Because of this it was fairly easy to eat. Sometime I find that super toasted or crunchy bread in sandwiches tends to fall apart. That was not an issue with this sandwich. The fillings were OK. The meat was flavorful, the pâté was more liquidy than I would have liked, this could be because the meat was still hot and caused the pâté to melt, or it could have been because the pâté was mixed with some sort of mayo. The other accouterments, specifically the pickled vegetables were rather meager. I think there were two slivers of cucumber(one for each half of the sandwich), a couple of jalapeño slices, and some pickled carrots. The cilantro was seriously lacking, with only 2 or 3 small sprigs for the whole sandwich. Overall, The sandwich was good. Not traditional Banh Mi, but a good sandwich at a decent price, I will definitely come back here and try the other sandwiches and maybe the Phở. Total of 3.5 stars.

I was at a Starbucks nearby and got hungry so I stopped in for an early lunch. There was one other customer eating a bowl of phở at 11:30. I ordered one of the day’s specials(lemongrass pork and garlic noodles) for $ 12. The dish came with some salad on the side as well. The pork was flavorful but fatty and not grilled enough. The pork wasn’t very hot(temperature) either, which tells me it was probably reheated. The garlic noodles had a great texture but way too much butter. The butter completely overwhelmed the dish. If it had more garlic and less butter, I would have enjoyed it more. The salad did not stand out. The restaurant was very clean, nicely decorated, and the lady at the counter was very friendly. I will likely give it another try since it’s close to my work.

Second time here. The food isn’t bad at all but wait is terrible! Be ready to wait at least 25 minutes for your food. I came here a few months ago thinking that maybe they just needed to get their process down. Nothing has changed. Extremely slow service for decent food. This will be my last time here. Good luck to this business. Hope things get better for you

Small, café-like Vietnamese restaurant located along a small stretch of eateries in a shopping plaza on Vasco Rd. Their menu includes phở, Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches, salads, and other sauteed dishes. My family came here for lunch on a weekday around 1pm; it was moderately busy, but they have a fair amount of seating & plenty of parking. It seems like they get a weekday lunch crowd from the nearby offices. We ordered 3 sandwiches — the cilantro chicken, bbq pork, and pepper chicken sausage. The cilantro chicken was okay(but wouldn’t get it again), bbq pork was sweet & pretty tasty, but the chicken sausage came as a french style pâté & looked like cat food. It was unappealing and didn’t taste good :(In addition, I know Vietnamese sandwiches tend to use tough bread, but their bread was almost rock hard & made our jaws hurt. Apart from food, prices/portions were reasonable & service was quick and friendly. We’ve considered going back for their Phở, but I’m a bit hesitant to do so after reading all of these reviews.

Had dinner tonight in the restaurant. Let me tell you slow service must have 1 cook. Food is very bland no salt or sauces on the table wife’s phở had no soup in it there all noodles. She asked for extra lemons and told her she was at the limit so we were charged for the lemon 1.10. I know they just opened not too long ago but with the service they will be closed soon must be doing bad. Maybe with good service and food they could last, we don’t have enough eateries on this side of Livermore. As we were leaving they asked for the 1.10 for the lemon it was on the damn table get off the computer and look. Don’t go there!!!

my first visit here, because my friends at Kaiser recommended it. im an easy going person. but the service was a bit shocking … not sure if it was a language thing. shakking beef rice plate garlic shrimp rice plate spring roll appetizer garlic noodle appetizer Flavors were good to Average(freshly prepared), served on a big plate and spread out to look like they filled the plate. i want to like this place. but $ 42 for two for a late lunch… in a strip mall. Next to Dickey’s and Carl’s Junior, this is too expensive to spend on LUNCH on a work day. not a good dinning experience. waitress not friendly. we asked for water in addition to our drinks, it never came. She brought the appetizer garlic noodles, we asked for small plates so we could share… the waitress replied, this is ONE order for one person. we thought that was an odd reply.. so we just waited for our meals to come. i dont think i will visit here too often . only if my Kaiser friends want to meet here.

This place looks great and nice service. This older lady who always helps me and takes my order is the nicest person. Plus the banh mi sandwiches are probably one of the best I have eaten here in cali. But you really need to order on the phone and then pick up because I waited a bit for 6 sandwiches .well worth it as they are all made to order and fresh.

Not bad for what it is. I do enjoy the Saigon burrito and shaking cube rice plate. The prices are kinda high compared to other Vietnamese restaurants, but It beats driving downtown or to Dublin. I’ll defiantly be back.

This place had great service and the food and presentation was very good. Living in the east bay there aren’t many restaurants that serve banh mi sandwiches and this place reminded me the bay. Sandwiches were so flavorful and so good. Meat was cooked well and very well marinated. Will definitely have to come back here again to try other menu items.

We live in the neighborhood and decided to try out this place. Was not a fan, tofu rolls had no flavor at all. Chicken pepper baguette was a small portion. Prices are slightly higher than most Vietnamese restaurants. I love Vietnamese food and this place did not taste as authentic as others I have tried. This place lacks customer service and not child friendly.

OMG! You Livermorians are quite lucky to have this gem of a place, even if it’s on the other side of ‘downtown’. For those commuting to Brentwood, great place to stop, have dinner and beat the rush hour traffic. This review is way overdue, since I have been here at least a dozen times. If you are looking for standard run-of-the-mill Vietnamese fast food, soaked in grease and sodium and quantities to wet the appetites of the morbidly obese demographic… then this is not the place for you! However, if you are looking for tasty, home-style Viet cuisine(with a dash of creative fusion) then read on… Service is great, even if its order at the counter. The staff is very friendly and will bring the dishes out in any order you prefer. The environment is simple and clean, with a very good choice of music that goes well with the meal; an overall pleasant ambience. Yes, they do serve some alcohol based beverage(beer, wine). I believe the food is well priced for the quality and taste. Ok now for the food: Garlic Fries — Yeah! Not Viet, but very well done! Burritos — Yes a Viet burrito and healthy and delicious, I always get the pork. Love all the noodle dishes; they can up the«spicy» level if you wish too. I have had them all and the Cilantro chicken is my fav. Have not tried the Phở; and just an FYI for some, traditionally Phở, is Chicken or Beef, hence two types. Seafood noodle soup is not Phở!!! My most favorite dishes… The Quail — best I have had in the Bay Area. The Frog Legs — best I have had in the Bay Area and fried to perfection(consistently). Love their coconut-soy deserts! All that made me hungry, time for some noodles and frog legs
