It’s All About Dancing

My husband and I went here two years ago to learn a first dance for our wedding, the owner at the time, Sasha, took our money — several hundred dollars– and never taught us to dance (we ended up going to Arthur Murray which was great). I was recently informed the business has been sold to another person so based on that I am hopeful the business has improved and updating the rating to a three star… If it is still Sasha– Run! Run quickly!

Maryna is an excellent dance instructor who choreographed a memorable dance for my wedding. She was patient and took extra time to make sure we were able to do the dance correctly. We only had a few sessions, but Maryna was flexible and she was passionate about dance. I did not have any dance experience whatsoever, but she was able to teach me how to perform despite that. I would highly recommend Maryna. Her lessons were worth every penny that made my wedding memorable.

Our son is getting married and Dad panicked, I can’t dance! Thank goodness for Maryna. I didn’t think anyone could help us but she has just the right amount of patience and energy to make you believe in yourself. I am surprised at our progress, my wife and I are having a great time and plan to continue taking lessons even after the wedding. I have recommend Maryna to anyone that will listen, I am now a true believer that anyone can dance with her help.

We chose It’s All About Dancing to help become a bit more comfortable dancing at our Nephews wedding. Five weeks ago we showed up for our first lesson nervous and skeptical. Now it is our happy place and hard to leave at the end of each lesson. Maryna is beyond patient with us and determined to make us comfortable and confident dancing. I would highly recommend Maryna to students of all ages and look forward to going back in the future.

Marina is absolutely wonderful dance instructor. I never thought that I would have courage to dance in front of whole bunch of people, but Marina gave me confidence and I and my husband got a ton of compliments. We had great experience and would definitely recommend this dance studio and Marina to anyone who wants to get ready for wedding, anniversary dance.

For our wedding this year, my now husband and I decided that we wanted to take dance lessons so that we wouldn’t embarrass ourselves dancing our first dance. Maryna not only taught us how to dance but choreographed a beautiful routine for the two of us. Our guests were so surprised and entertained. It really was a highlight! She even helped us with our father/​daughter and mother/​son dances. She is EXTREMELY patient, easy to work with, friendly, and we are so happy she was our instructor. The dance really made our wedding that much more special. I would highly recommend dance lessons to any couple getting married, and specifically Maryna as an instructor/​choreographer. I started lessons with Maryna from It’s All About Dancing a few weeks ago to perform a choreographed dance for my bride to be next week. Maryna took the song I wanted to dance to and choreographed everything for me; and for a guy who isn’t a dancer, is rigid as a rock, and a bit terrified to dance in front of people, she made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident in the routine. It’s a really great routine, tailored to my personality, and I can’t wait to perform it for my wife on my wedding day. Maryna is very patient, easy– going, and fun to work with. I highly recommend booking with her for your wedding dance needs!

My husband had zero dance experience, but envisioned us dancing our first dance at our wedding with grace. Sasha took our song and choreographed a routine, step-​by-​step over several lessons that was challenging, but fun. When Sasha had to leave the country suddenly, Sergei took over with enthusiasm, helping us polish our routine with finesse! Our friends and family were wowed, and we felt a real sense of accomplishment in mastering our first dance routine. We would love to come back and take group classes. Sasha and Sergei are professional, positive and encouraging. We recommend them to other engaged couples looking for that perfect wedding dance.

We took dance lessons from It’s all about Dancing and Dan Bingham for our wedding in May 2012. We wanted to have a choreographed first dance, and feel good about dancing in front of 160 guests, and Dan definitely delivered.
Dan dealt with our crazy stress levels as we came in as we were planning our wedding, and gave us great instruction and feedback as he taught us the foxy, dips, turns and spins. He was very creative and gave us a fabulous routine that everyone at our wedding loved.
Dan also gave my father and I a lesson for our father/​daughter dance and handled my father fabulously although he was nervous about taking lessons and being critiqued.

My husband and I just started lessons. We are having a lot of fun. The instructor is patient and tactful. The prices seem very reasonable when we consider they include private lessons, group lessons and parties. It is a great exercise as well.

When I was invited to It’s all about dance by a friend, I was in a bad mood, didn’t want to go. Yes, I was pretty GRUMPY to say the least.
The instructors and the students were so kind and welcoming I was shocked! When I finally participated, I was hooked. Never did any dancing before and boy did they make me look good! That night I signed up and the next day bought dancing shoes!
Please know this… If I take the time to drive in traffic from Hayward to Livermore every evening they have class, you should know that there is something special about this dance studio.
I’m pleasantly sore, I sweat like a track star, and guess what… I’m getting in shape and loving it.

I told myself I would learn to dance this year. A daunting task for someone born with two left feet and a white guy overbite… I chose AAD when another class in town got cancelled. The owner Sasha took me, gave me a free private lesson, told me to stay for a group lesson (free) and I fell in love! No not with Sasha, she’s married!, with the dance. I am 5 weeks into it and their very patient caring instructors have brought me up to the level of being novice. Huge progress! Give them a shot! They have passion, patience and steel toe shoes! Guys, be a hero to your girl! It will come back to you in spades!

One of the best presents I ever got! I got dance lessons from my honey for Valentine’s day! The people are so helpful and very patient and really talented. We have used all of our private lessons up and now have some group & party lessons to use… I recomend if you are looking to learn some basic steps for a party, wedding etc… you need to give them a call and they will work with you and your abilities… if you just cant get it… they are happy to try something else with you!

This place looks kind of random from the street, but once you go inside you figure out why they are so successful. NO you don’t have to wear stretch pants to be let in. Guys need not be shy. The instructors are super friendly and talented. My fiancé hates to dance, but I somehow convinced him to come here with me one time– and he has gone back with me ever since. The instructors do a good job of making novice dancers feel comfortable, and at the same time have a lot of really advanced students as well. We are going to knock everyone’s socks off at our wedding. We like to set the bar for all of our engaged friends.

Suggesting that my wife and I are dancing novices would be an exaggeration. With the except ion of doing the «boggie» or slow dance at the prom, we have never had any dance experience. The people at the «It’s All About Dancing» were some of the most wonderful and professional instructors we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The owner is a sweet lady who helped me pick out an appropriate schedule of personal instruction for my wife and I. It was an Anniversary gift. They have plans for as few as 9 classes. You receive several one on one 45 minute classes with a talented (and patient) instructor. They also include a few group sessions and a party. The experience was great and the Anniversary present was the best ever. I never thought I’d take dancing lesson. But I highly recommend them as alternative to flowers or jewelry.
