I am someone who *hates* to get my photo taken. I will avoid it like no other. I needed to get over that hump, so I booked an appointment with Jamaica for a shoot. I was really nervous about it, but the minute I walked into her amazing studio, I knew I was in good hands. She was warm, friendly, casual, yet a total pro. Her assistant and the stylist were super friendly, talkative, and treated me like I was an old friend.
The shoot itself went really well and Jamaica made me feel 100% comfortable. But she also knows what she’s doing. She knows what will work and what probably won’t. She made me feel like the prettiest person on the planet for two hours.
I was so nervous to see the final photos, but I was blown away. Not only had she turned it around in record time (in time for the holidays), but the photos looked great. And I hate photos of myself. The lighting, the colors… she listened to everything I had asked for and made it happen. They turned out so much better than I could have imagined.
Run, don’t walk to Inspiring Images and Jamaica. All these other Unilocalers aren’t wrong. She’s the best. Worth every penny.

Loved my boudoir shoot! My makeup and photos are amazing. Jamaica made it so easy and fun. I would love to return for another session with regular clothes on… that way I can show them off to everyone. :)

Giving Jamaica and her establishment 5 stars + more stars! I’ve been wanting to take some boudoir photos to cross off my bucket list and of course for my hubby to be as a gift. I finally decided to go for it and I swear I can do this all the time if I could. I felt like an absolute vixen and she made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Made me feel like I should pursue modeling but let me tell you that posing is no joke. Had me feeling sore days after but worth every awkward and painful pose just to get the perfect look. I’ve always been comfortable in my own skin (flaws, jelly rolls and all) but I was a teeny bit nervous though. It all melted away in snap cuz I went into vixen mode. After the shoot made me feel proud as a woman and I swear I didn’t wanna take my makeup off done by the lovely Nina Barbosa. She’s worth paying for hair and makeup cuz I looked and felt fabulous! I brought my own heels and negligees but not accessories cuz she had plenty to choose from her closet. I just love Jamaica’s energy and her personality immediately makes you feel that you’re in good hands. I was SOOOO excited to see the pics and when I went in for the preview, I had a hell of a hard time choosing which ones I wanted. My fiancé was able to come with me to choose and let’s just say, he was very happy with the outcome. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I’m planning to do this once more in the future and I recommend this to any and every woman who has been wanting to do this but were always hesitant. Love your imperfections and flaws but the pictures will surely have you asking, «is that really me?!» My pictures are all over the living room for display and I don’t mind if my guests sees it cuz it’s that good and something I’m proud I’ve done!

Jamaica did my daughters senior pictures as well as my boudoir photos. She is absolutely amazing. I was in tears when I viewed both sets of prints.
My daughter spent an afternoon with Jamaica going to different locations to shoot. Jamaica captured every single bit of my daughters amazing personality and beauty. I gave in and bought every single photo.
My Boudoir shoot was very personal and intimate. Jamaica was able to capture a part of me I did not know existed. Being that I am a mother of 5 I felt I had lost my sexy along the years… Jamaica found it and put it to print. I brought a friend with me who was 7 months pregnant for a maternity shoot on the same day and WOW!
I have gotten to see a wide range of Jamaica’s talent. I write this review with the highest recommendation.

As a size 22 woman i was a little dubious about doing a boudoir shoot but I have never seen so many pictures of myself that I loved! It was really difficult to narrow my final selections down to 5
As an additional note I have been back 2 times since and have been just as happy each time

Best experience. Jamaica was professional and really easy to work with. She immediately dissolved any inhibitions I may have had. I left feeling beautiful and sexy. And not only did one of the photos Jamaica took turn out classy and sexy… they ALL did! I would highly recommend her for any of your photo needs. The boudoir pictures she took just may lead to pregnancy photos in the future! :)

Lovely photos! Had my 3 month old’s photos done, they came out nicely. Jamaica was very patient as my GERD baby barfed all over her backdrops. She has a no nonsense attitude so that you get in, get the photos done and get out. For people with kids or pets, that’s a blessing. The photos are high quality, the paper is thick and will last a long time.
The things I wish were different:
I wish the photos came in a bend resistant envelope, not a bag. I had to find something at home to put then in until I frame them.
It was quite time consuming to go to the studio 3 times, once for the shoot (expected), once to pick the photos (I would have liked to see an online gallery so my husband could see them, and I felt really pressured to pick RIGHT NOW in her studio instead of thinking about it), and one last time for pickup (postage could be included in the cost to have them mailed). An hour round trip with an infant is not much fun, for the final pickup baby stayed home because it was right in the middle of nap time. So, three hours driving time and one hour of studio time to get photos. They are really cute.
The Livermore traffic can be awful, so plan accordingly when you go out.

Inspiring Images also runs an alias business: Bedroom Boudoir. My GF and I purchased a LivingSocial voucher and were very excited to make this happen. It turned out because of busy schedules, both ours and Jamaica’s, it took a long time to get it scheduled. On the day it was scheduled my GF got ill and simply couldn’t make it — from then on it was nearly impossible to get on Jamaica’s calendar and we couldn’t help but wonder if it was simply because we weren’t full paying customers?
Jamaica was very inflexible in accommodating our reasonable requests.
Once we finally got it scheduled, it took a long long time to get to see our pictures as Jamaica took off to HI and, once again, was simply too busy to accommodate our reasonable requests. It took multiple emails to finally find out from her admin, Eric that if we paid $ 30 additional, they could release our pics online, which we happily agreed to. However, once we received the pictures, once again, the communication was horrendous as Jamaica would not communicate with the both of us and because of it, she released the wrong picture! We tried to negotiate a reasonable compromise but she became completely uncommunicative and inflexible.
Bottom line, it was a very unpleasant experience beginning to end. The photo’s themselves were just fine and we would have gladly spent some additional $$ to purchase what we wanted but due to her inflexibility and lack of open communication, we were forced to give up and throw the towel in. Even after Eric told me that he was «certain» that Jamaica would agree to our reasonable request, we never heard from them again.
My suggestion if you decide to use this service: make sure you stay on her good side and be prepared for all kinds of delays, scheduling and otherwise. Had we known what we were getting in to, we’d have gone elsewhere as there are ample options for this service.
Both my GF and I are in service industries and we know how important it is to accommodate customers reasonable requests. It’s something that Jamaica needs to learn.
SORRY, but that’s the truth.

Jamaica is an amazing photographer. She made me feel comfortable and sexy! I am in LOVE with my photos and so is my husband. I didn’t know I could look so good, or that I could work it like a Victoria Secret model! Every woman needs this experience in their lives! Love Jamaica!!!

I wish I could give ten stars. If you look at my profile you’ll see that I don’t review many businesses. So many of them are often good but don’t really stand out as exceptional. Jamaica and Sabrina are extremely exceptional. Over the past year, my family has been around the block with this photography duo and not only have we come away with literally hundreds of spectacular photos, we’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime.
I’ve done every sort of session that Jamaica has to offer. I did a bombshell session with her 6 days before I delivered our now one year old son. My husband and I also did maternity photos (which you can see in my profile) and we got the baby’s first year package. Initially I thought it was a bit overkill. You go in for a session with the baby at 2 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and one year. However, what I didn’t realize as a first time mother is how dramatically your baby changes in that first year. Other than his car seat and pacifier, I absolutely believe these photos are the best investment we ever made. Jamaica has a way of capturing moments and feelings and personality in a way that I’ve never seen before.
My bombshell session was awesome. I was huge, being fully pregnant and expecting to go into labor at any moment. Jamaica and Sabrina were so patient with me and made me feel so comfortable and really beautiful. And the photos were STUNNING! My husband was so happy. It’s one thing to have photos done when you are looking your best, but to have the light shined in just the right way to make all of your inner beauty come out when you are bloated and tired and swollen, is true talent and I’m so happy I did it.
And last but not least, our wedding. Our beautiful son came a year before our wedding which turned out to be a blessing in the photo department because Jamaica doesn’t always do weddings, I think mostly because she is just super busy with the other side of her business. But we were so excited when she agreed to not only shoot our wedding but travel all the way to Yosemite for the rehearsal, wedding day, and more photos the following day. All of you brides out there know that you can spend months or even years planning the wedding of your dreams, but without good photos, that day only lasts a few hours and then it’s gone. Because of Jamaica and Sabrina I will have stunning and really unique photos that will remind me of how special that time was, forever.
And to really show how they go above and beyond, at the wedding, they acted almost as day-​of wedding coordinators. They both were constantly asking if anyone needed anything, and were such a calming presence the entire day.
I can honestly say that this is one business that deserves five stars and more. Their service is unique, and genuine. Their prices are very reasonable, and their personalities and interaction (with us anyways) far exceeds normal expectations. I will definitely continue to use them for family photos in the future and to give bombshell packages as gifts. Go see them! You’ll be truly happy you did.

I can’t say enough good things about Jamaica. We bought a groupon for a family session. When we arrived at our location, she immediately put us all at ease. She even managed to charm my cranky 2 year old. Her skill and timing is impeccable. At our preview, I was in tears as she so beautifully captured each of my kid’s distinct personalities in the photos. I was so moved, I signed up for the newborn package. I’ve since had 2 sessions with my baby and am so glad I chose to have Jamaica capture these fleeting moments. By chance, I had the baby early and called Jamaica to see if we could get in quick (she was planning on an international trip and was to leave the next day) to get some pictures of the baby as a newborn. Amazingly, she made time for us and I now have beautiful memories of my daughter at 3 days old. People stop and take notice of the pictures in my home. Really, this was one of the best decisions I’ve made as a mother. Thanks Jamaica!

Wonderful wonderful experience with Jamaica! She is amazing at what she does and is about working her best to give you what you desire out of your photography session! HIGHLY recommend her and her beautiful work! So organized and easy to get a hold of as well!

It has been quite an amazing experience working with Jamaica. Not only is she a master at her craft, she is also one genuine person. She is very talented and has a way of making you feel comfortable in your own skin.
Walking in to do a Boudoir shoot is very nerve wrecking and Jamaica makes you feel like you are a super model. She helps you pick out outfits and color coordinates that would look amazing with your skin tone as well as help you with posing.
And you gotta see this girl’s jewelry collection for any look to create.
I look forward to seeing her again for our Engagement session.

Jamaica… we’re SO thrilled with these pictures of our grandsons. You really captured their essence. It’s scary to think how quickly they will grow up, but we’ll always have these precious pictures to look back on. I cannot wait to send their Mom the picture we picked out for her Mother’s Day gift !!

I will have to say that Jamaica is a wonderful photographer. We attended her show a few months ago and we were very impressed. Her studio is amazing and she has it all there which I like. Very professional and very welcoming. Try her you will be thrilled that you did. Great art Jamaica!

If you are looking for family portraits with your puppies definitely go to Inspiring Images Photography.
I have been looking for a place to be able to do family portraits with my significant other and my 2 puppies. Surprisingly many places won’t do portraits with dogs because of allergies, but not Jamaica (photographer and owner). She was very friendly with the dogs and made all of us feel comfortable taking pictures. The photos turned out amazing! She makes photography into an art form, even with just family portraits. Additionally i want to add that my puppies were looking at the camera! She was great with them and they had a blast!
The thing that I like most of Jamaica and her photography is the fact she wants to capture your moment and show your story. She doesn’t have each client do the same poses like many other studios, but she makes it more personal for you and herself. She has a true eye for photography and is amazing at what she does.
I highly recommend anyone going to her. She is a wonderful person and creates great memories. I plan to go to her for any pictures I need.

We did our family photos with Jamaica out amongst the vineyards. They are simply stunning! It is true what everyone else says that she is truly an Artist, not just a photographer. One of our family photos we turned into a big canvas above our fireplace, and everyone who walks in the door walks straight over to admire it and asks me where we had it done… JAMAICA!
After family photos I decided to do the boudoir photos. She was willing to come to my house where I was more comfortable. I really do not consider myself photogenic, but the shots Jamaica got absolutely amazed me. I was super excited to present them to my hubby for a special Father’s Day gift. Needless to say, he loved the book!
Jamaica is an Artist, not simply a Photographer!

I love love love this woman and her photographic skills! Our best family shots, personal shots, playtime shots, almost all the shots I choose to frame… come from Jamaica. She captures the moment, the person, the light, the landscape, everything just right.
She is gregarious and friendly while in session and will make anyone feel comfortable and happy. She’s da best. :)

Jamaica has done amazing work with my family pics. She encourages my kids to just play and be themselves and through her lens she grasps their true spirit. My husband has never been big on having his picture taken but she seems to bring out the perfect smile.
I love the work she has done for my family. I appreciate her photography but most of all I appreciate her. Always going above and beyond to make our sessions fun and I cant wait til our next photography adventure… hmmmm maybe a boudoir session???
