BD Construction

The dust has finally settled! I just want to give a big shout out to BD Construction for the exquisite work they did on our kitchen. From designing, budgeting and working on a plan, Brandon and his amazing team made this remodel an easy and stress-​free one. I cannot even begin to reiterate the many times he paid extra attention to making sure his crew was respectful of our space. Cleaning up every day after the mess from the construction, sending those darling cleaning ladies, paying careful attention to the quality of work and details from other workers, having us and our needs always a top priority and most especially always bringing in a positive and «can do» attitude with his adorable daughter who’s really the big boss. I cannot say enough praises. This is the kitchen I’ve always wanted. I can’t wait to do the next remodel project with you! #GoProFoodie

Brandon fixed up our door jamb, trim, and installed a new handle. He was responsive, on time, on budget, and had a good eye for details. He worked to make sure everything was right. I would definitely recommend Brandon and BD Construction!

We had a range hood installed by Brandon and it looks great! They were very responsive, punctual and friendly. They had to move the wiring back about a foot and install bearings in the attic crawl space to support the hood. Very good, clean work.

I would highly recommend Brandon and hope we get a chance to work with him again in the future. He is very responsive and knowledgable. We had a leak at a rental property and were concerned it was going to be a huge repair. He went in and immediately figured out what the issue was. It was done quickly and without having to inconvenience our tenants.

I was looking for a contractor, or handyman, to help with a wall mount doggie door install. I started by requesting a quote via Unilocal,with scope of work, to several tri-​valley companies. Some never even responded but BD construction replied to my Unilocal quote request and in a timely manner. After a few questions we were able to book the project. The lead time was fair, considering several other companies were telling me 3 – 4 weeks lead time. I scheduled the appointment and the door was installed today. The work was done rather quickly considering they had to penetrate a stucco wall, and we couldn’t be happier the door is in, and looks great. The quote was right in line with other pricing I had received too. We were so happy with the work my husband requested a quote to have more work done (bathroom) around the house! I would highly recommend!

I found Brandon as a referral from another contractor. I had a slow leak in a dishwasher that had been brewing for 6 month, as a result, it annihilated my lower cabinets, warped my hardwood, and caused some mold. This was the result of a manufacturer defect in the dishwasher, so I was dealing with their insurance company, not my homeowner’s insurance. With that said, I had Brandon come out and take a look-see…he pulled up part of the hardwood and immediately saw some mold. He referred me out to a remediation company. When I finally got Brandon back once the remediation was done, I had to ask him to give me a series of estimates, as I wasn’t sure what the insurance company would settle with. He was so patient and provided me with an array of estimates including some with brand new cabinetry, new granite (as my existing granite was being up with 2×4’s and was warping), etc. He spoke to the insurance adjuster and explained why the repair should be done a certain way and the pitfalls if we cut corners. He was dream to work with in this respect! In the end, the insurance company sprung for the full deal, so a new kitchen it was!
Now, phase 2, the construction itself! We signed our contract and he ordered the cabinetry weeks in advance. Through no fault of his own, the cabinets weren’t ready when we expected… so there was a bit of a delay, but not much. In the meantime, I picked out new granite, sink, cabinet pulls, worked with his granite guy and painter. In the end, I have a gorgeous new kitchen that is perfect! He installed some beautiful natural stone backsplash that pulls it all together, replaced my flooring and gave me totally updated look.
I can’t stress enough how patient, professional, and lovely he was to work with. Nice guy, and I never felt as though I was being taken advantage of or he was cutting corners as he had to start another job before mine was finished as a result of the cabinet delay. He made it all work and I couldn’t be happier. I will definitely use him again when I’m ready to update my bathrooms.

After interviewing over a handful of contractors and business to do our kitchen remodel, we decided to take our chances with Brandon. We do not regret that decision. He knows what he’s talking about, what he’s doing and does great quality work. He is also very easy to get along with, approachable and flexible (we had quite a bit of add ons/​changes and he managed to squeeze each request in). On top of the kitchen remodel, 2 load bearing walls were knocked down, ceiling heights were raised, all walls were retextured, new hardwood flooring installed throughout house, LED lights with dimmer installed in every room, and custom window and door trim. As a bonus, he had a cleaning lady come at the end of the project!
I would highly recommend Brandon to anyone looking to do a remodel!

There is a reason why Brandon is called «Mr. Magic.» He can fix the impossible! I had a complicated master shower that was broken ever since I purchased my home 8 months ago. I thought it would be an easy fix, but I was completely wrong! My shower consists of a wall shower head, 4 body sprays, and a separate handheld shower head. Over 8 months, 6 contractors/​plumbers tried to fix my shower. However, they all utterly failed, simply ran away in fear, or just gave up in frustration. The parts were discontinued and the antique bronze fixtures were difficult to find.
I had all but given up hope of ever using my master shower until Brandon came along! He thought outside of the box and was able to figure out a solution. For example, when the shower fixture only came in brushed nickel, Brandon spray painted it to more closely match the other antique bronze fixtures. Also, he actually improved the functionality of the shower! He was able to repair two shower valves (yes, my shower actually needed 2!) and he drove all the way to San Mateo to pick up one of the valves. I feel that Brandon went above and beyond to make sure that my shower was fixed! To this day, I still can’t believe that my shower works!
I also want to note that Brandon is a true professional! He is very personable, friendly, and patient in answering all of my questions. He also gave me DIY repair tips. I’ve had my share of experiences with shady/​bad contractors who don’t take the time to make sure that the customer is happy. Brandon is one of the few that actually makes sure that his customers are satisfied with his work. I highly recommend him especially if you have a difficult repair. Brandon can fix anything around the house! He comes from a family of contractors and it shows in his expertise!

I cannot say one negative thing about this guy. Brandon was able to come in, use our design and measurements and work quickly to totally transform our kitchen! He was professional, he showed up on time, very nice, and communicated well. My wife and I can get kind of knit picky when it comes to stuff like this and he was patient and helped us envision what the final product was going to look like. Him and his partner worked their ass off every day to make sure everything was perfect by the time they left.
He installed our cabinets, he works with a really good counter guy, and he did our tile back splash and stayed within our budget! And he finished the whole kitchen within a week! He’s definitely got a customer for life with us!

We’re at it again called Brandon up to do my living room floors. They can out better than I expected. At first I was thinking that the floor would be too dark and make my room look small bc I had light flooring b4 (cheap laminate) I only had a small sample to work off of but Brandon keep telling me it will look good so I trusted him and boy was he right. Everyday I get home it so warm and inviting I wouldn’t have it any other way. It only took one day and looks fantastic. I wouldn’t have anybody else do my work for me Brandon is fantastic at what he does and has a good eye for what would look good and not he would never point u in the wrong direction. I’m still not done he will be coming back to do my base board and he’s also building a add on for my stairs. I’ll post pic of flooring now and completion of everything later. Brandon is incredibly professional. He is prepared for anything you throw at him! The first person who came prepared with all the necessary tools! Whatever I asked, even before I asked he took care of it which made a change… He takes pride in everything he does! I would recommend Brandon to everyone who needed anything done because he won’t only get the job done, he will make sure it’s done well and to your expectations. Very high standard of work. I needed 2 tv cable outlets in different rooms moved from one wall to another wall. In each room I had the cable wire running across the floor which can be a real nuisance. I had a feeling that this would be a pain and probably cost an arm and a leg but to my surprise it didn’t cost as much as I thought it would. Don’t get me wrong is wasn’t cheap but it was cheaper than what Comcast had quoted me. Brandon was professional and did great work. I would recommend him to anyone that needs some cable or electrical work done.

Brandon is the best handyman/​contractor! Very versatile and can help with just about anything in the house. He also has great ideas for fixes based on your budget, not just the ‘standard fix’ or the ‘deluxe fix’. True MacGyver.
