Able To Plumbing

My husband and I opted to hire a plumber to install a new kitchen faucet we had purchased. I called on a Saturday with no expectation of having someone out that day but when Travis returned my call (in less than 5 minutes of leaving a message) and said he could have someone out in a couple of hours, we took advantage of their prompt service. Rich showed up, provided us great detail on the faucet we purchased and did an amazing job with the installation. He was incredibly friendly and courteous, telling us what he was doing at various steps along the way! These guys will definitely be our go to for all future plumbing needs!

Called Able To about a non working water heater; they were at my home within the hour and had it all resolved and fixed (bad thermo couple along with a snapped pilot light gas line — my fault) relatively quickly. Travis and Brad were super pleasant and I will not hesitate to give them a call in the future if I ever need to!

I really don’t think you could find a better plumber than Able To Plumbing. The integrity with which they do their work is incredible. I heard of them upon recommendation from my father-​in-​law and we first had them out to deal with a back-​up. Brad came out and knew exactly how to deal with the problem (unlike the previous plumber we had out), and thoroughly explained everything he would do, and then followed through on it. He also checked what we thought was a leak with our water heater. Although our water heater was old, and we were convinced we needed a new one, Brad told us it was just a leak with the pipe and no need to replace the whole water heater. Later we decided to get a quote to replace our galvanized piping with copper, and Travis provided us with a very reasonable quote for all the work that would need to be done. When Brad and his team came out to do the work, they were very considerate and treated my whole family and home (including yappy dog) with the utmost respect. They diligently completed the work (even cleaning under the fridge where we would never see) and regularly provided me status updates and explanations. Whenever I had a question they would take the time to explain, and give me the education I was looking for given the situation. When they had to come back to fix my washer lines that were accidentally reversed, instead of just switching the lines, Brad took the time to fix it the right way — I was once again blown away by his integrity. These guys are the real deal — they treat you like a brother or sister, and I won’t be using another plumber as long as I can avoid it!

Very easy to work with. Price was fair. Was able to correct my issue within two hours of calling them on a Saturday.

After a simple misunderstanding with the appointment, thinking it was scheduled on a Thursday when in reality it was the next day. I gave a call to the company asking the appointment about having a plumber fix a shut off valve before the installation of my new washing machine, THEY HAPPILLY ACCOMMODATED MY FAMILY by showing up on the same day as the call.
When Travis came to check the «problem» turns out the «problem» isn’t even a concern AS A RESULT SAVING US MONEY. Like as reviewed by others HE WILL GRANT YOU HONESTY on prices and other details.

I had to have them come out again and put in a new toilet. It was put in in no time at all. Great friendly service with the best service.

Five stars! On time, on point and friendly service. A shade on the expensive side (for me), but worth it for execution and delivery.
Definitely recommend if you’re looking for plumbing work in the area!

We have used Able To many many many times over the past five+ years.
Travis — Rich & Brad have all been here for one thing or another.
Today was Brad’s turn to unclog the front bathroom toilet!
The original part of our home is over 80 years old… Add Livermore water to the mix & we seem to have one plumbing need or another every six month or so.
They are responsive & helpful.
They may not be the least expensive plumber — but I am happy to pay their fee everytime.
I feel comfortable having anyone of the above in my home & I trust their work.
Sometimes you really do get what you pay for… When it comes to plumbing issues I want it done quickly & correctly.
I have referred them to many friends & will continue to do so.

Travis came out to investigate whether a broken shower valve could be repaired, or whether a new shower would be required. After 15 minutes of looking at the problem and sharing risks about the procedure to repair, I elected to give the repair path a shot. I appreciated Travis’s honesty and diligence in informing me as the consumer for what risks exists.
Travis was able to repair the shower valve, and we subsequently went on to have a great conversation about many topics for 30 minutes.
I would not hesitate to leverage Able to Plumbing again for a Service and Repair situation.

After buying a house in the Livermore area, inevitably things started to go wrong. First it was a leak in the garage through the walls and then an absolutely shot garbage disposal. We called Able To and had the pleasure of having Travis come out on the first call. He was incredibly knowledgeable and fixed the leak above and beyond. There was a possibility of having to rip through the walls, leaving us with major sheetrock replacement. Instead of doing this, Travis was able to assess the problem, fix it, and leave us with nothing to do on our own. Not only did he fix the problem, he took the time to tell me about his favorite spots in Livermore, ranging from gyms to schools to great places to grab a bite. Being new to the area, this was such a welcome «bonus».
Two days later, we got to meet Rich when it was time to replace the disposal. He, too, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He explained things to me, showed me the problem and, again, went above and beyond what I expected.
Beyond the work, the price and the knowledge of these two, I was incredibly appreciative of their respectfulness and attentiveness they showed me and my children. It’s not everyday you come across a company like this.

Thursday my kitchen faucet physically broke and needed to be replaced. I called Able to Plumb, I texted them a photo of the existing faucet. Travis called me and discussed similar in appearance faucets and was very patient is explaining the differences, even allowed me to call my wife to get her opinion of which faucet to choose. Travis recommended a Grohe faucet for the quality, I agreed on the one he recommended and he ordered the faucet. Friday afternoon he arrived and installed the faucet. We are very happy with his work on this job and would recommend Able to Plumb. He did charge tradesmen rates for the labor but did not mark up the cost of the faucet over his wholesale cost so came out about the same if I had used a handyman to install. I am a happy customer and will use again if I have future plumbing needs.

Used them again today for an outside/​main water valve and new pipe. Really great service and quality work! Didn’t have a problem with letting my kids watch him use the tools and torch either which is a nice bonus!

Great service, we had a pipe burst in our kitchen at 7:30 am, they arrived ASAP! we have used able to plumbing for several other services, dishwasher install, water tap, broken and rusted knobs. Always friendly and professional. Thanks!

I have been in an physically abusive relationship for the past 3 months. I have to time every move I make not knowing if I’ll get burned or left in the cold. I have had to walk on egg shells every day never knowing what the temperature will be, hot, cold or not knowing when things will heat up or cool down! So I got tired of living this way and called Travis Ables and Courtney Houchin-​Ables from Able To Plumbing & Rooter to step in and take a look at the situation! Turns out my flash hot water heater was bad!!! I know longer have to walk on egg shells with my hot and cold shower problem!!! Thx for the great install and service guys! I now have a house full of consistent hot and cold water, no more getting burned or left in the cold! Thx guys great job, great service as always!!!

I have never hired a plumber before. I always hear all these horror stories about how difficult it can be and how they try and get every last penny. So when my sink got blocked I tried Drano and tried plunging. I was determined to fix it. After day 2 of not having a sink I realized that I need to just call a plumber. Ran across these guys on Unilocal,and man was I happy! I called at 7:20am in the morning and was able to get through to someone. The plumber was in and out in about 25 minutes. Everything is working great and they did not over price me or tell me I needed other repairs. Very nice and efficient.
I can not see myself using anyone else in the future. Seriously, was really great.

Today I had Rich from Able to Plumbing out at our house one hour after making a call to their office and talking with Courtney.
Rich arrived, was happy to access the crawl space to confirm the location of our leak as well as open up a wall to make a determination of exactly what the repair would require. When opening up the wall he uncovered a 2^nd item that didn’t need to be fixed today but likely would need attention at some point. Since the wall was open we decided to go ahead and have him fix that as we’ll. He offered a very fair price and had the repairs finished and tested within an hour and a half.
He also notified me of some items that he noticed while in the crawl space that may become issues in the coming years.
I have used 2 other plumbers from Livermore during the 5 years I have owned our home and I now will never need to use anyone else. Service is good, knowledge is great, and prices are fair.

A few days ago we started our morning by waking up to standing water outside our utility restroom (outside of the house, attached to garage). We called the company that had done our sewer inspection when we bought our property and didn’t hear back. Unilocal came to the rescue and had great reviews of Able To Plumbing and how responsive they are.
I called around 9am and got voicemail… bummer. Not 5 minutes later Courtney called me back and left me a message to let me know that should could have someone there in no time. I was extremely impressed with her customer service and their thorough follow up. I called her back and had an appointment set for 12:30 the same day. The wait was only because we couldn’t get home before then.
My husband didn’t catch the name of the guy that came out, but said he was quick, friendly, and explained what was going on (roots in our pipes) and gave us some helpful hints of how to avoid the same problem moving forward.
I definitely recommend and will keep them as my «go-​to»!

Horrible and shady company! The owner Travis harassed and threatened me after leaving this review. He called me 11 times at 6am the next day and cussed me out using the «f» word about a dozen times before I hung up on him.
So this all started when they came out to service my property on many occasions due to them «being in bed» with my landlords so to speak. Everytime they came they wouldn’t be on time and I would have to wait around for them to show. They also even showed up on days when I told them I was not available. They always parked in my driveway blocking our cars in when there was ample street parking. (No one should park in anyone’s driveway unless invited I feel) they left tools at my house on more than 2 occasions.
The thing that makes me upset the most is they would never announce their arrival. The would come into my backyard without letting us know they were there and even looked inside our bedroom window while we were still in bed as they past by (our bedroom windows faces the backyard)
Able to plumbing also accused me of stuffing stuff done the sewer intentionally to block the system. The said my wife would flush lots of tampons and paper towels which is not the case at all. My wife like any other woman is fully aware you cannot flush that down the toilet. Able to plumbing also never cleans up properly after a job and always leave a mess even asking me for towels and products to aid in cleaning up which is something they should have in their trucks.
I reached out to Courtney the office manager to complain and she hung up on me after using several cuss words. I tried calling back and she cussed me out again. The next day the owner Travis called me 11 times cussing me out at 6am. I asked him to calm down to actually talk and he just kept cussing me out and threatening me. He said if I didnt remove my ripoff report and my Unilocal he was going to sue me. Now if Travis would of been calm and addressed my concerns maybe I would have but he was a hot head and lost his temper so here the review will stay.
Feel free to respond Travis, if you can keep your cool which we both know you can’t.
Last but not least. The plumbers went thru my personal belongings and reported them back to my landlord on what I had in my yard and house. I’m pretty sure that is none of their business and if they ever set foot on my property again I will call the police

EXCELLENT customer service. I called around 2 this afternoon and spoke to Courtney. Told her about some plumbing issues that had started this weekend. Basically, toilets flushed but everything else backed up into our showers. She said she would send someone out. I never expected that someone would come when calling so late.
Rich came out. My husband explained the problem and it was all fixed in less than hour. To top it off, they were very respectful of my wood floors by carrying their equipment in and not rolling it in, and they wiped up my shower when they were done.
I will use them in the future, for sure!

Excellent service all around. It started when I called yesterday and left a VM explaining my problem. They called back this morning and scheduled an appointment for later today at 4pm. 3:57pm rolled around and he had arrived.
I’ll keep it brief and say that his service was excellent. He diagnosed the problem as being benign and not a problem at all (pipes were «ticking» when hot water ran. My ignorance and paranoia got the best of me). He charged me nothing and gave me a referral for some other work I wanted to have done. Incredible!
The biggest benefit? The relief of finally finding a good plumber for when I actually do need work done. Half the stress involved with choosing a professional services provider is in the work we do to avoid getting bent over the barrel. Able To Plumbing made it easy. I love knowing I have a referral for my other friends/​family now.
