Used to be great, now gone downhill. Slow-working staff. Obvious and visibly poor sanitary practices, as noted by another reviewer, end up killing your appetite. Some flavors on the last visit tasted spoiled.

I frequently go to this Marble Slab Creamery since my husband loves ice cream. It can be hit or miss on what ingredients that they currently have for mix-ins. The ice cream always taste great but when your mind is set on a mix-in and it’s not there, you can be disappointed in your wanna-be creation. You can choose 3 cup sizes for your ice cream with unlimited mix-ins. You can also get a waffle cone for the same price. Only up-charges are if you want to put it into a dipped cone(white/dark/milk chocolate). The kids that work there seem to not really care how long it takes to create a creation even if there is 5 people waiting in line. This is my biggest issue with this location besides the lack of ingredients on many occasions. i hope that they are able to start keeping more mix-ins on hand.

This Marble Slab Creamery is GROSS! Employees wear filthy shirts, don’t wear gloves when handling food. I asked them why they aren’t wearing gloves when serving the food and they said, «we use this tissue to grab the cones» then they used the tissue and got their dirty little fingers all over my cone! The same dirty(never saw them wash their hands at all) hands grabbed the ice cream scoops(without gloves) and mixed my ice cream and nuts :0 I got sick later that night :(I won’t be going back here!

It was… ok. Wanted to like it so much but a combination of slower-than-optimal service(granted they were busy but if you feel waiting 10 min to place an order is acceptable, something’s got to give) and an average-tasting experience, hard to justify $ 4-$ 6 for this when others like Pacugio or even DQ offers more satisfaction for less. The ice cream flavors were interesting like birthday cake, but most tasted overly sweet which drowns out some of the actual flavor in the ice cream. Marble Slab did have a good thing going by providing waffle cones and unlimited toppings for free, but neither stood out. You can’t make an average ice cream great, which sums up my experience.

Came here last weekend for the first time and although I never experienced the old management, there was a prominent sign letting everyone know that this place was under new management. There were a few other parties in there and 2 employees. We did not have to wait and were treated well. I had a waffle cone and ordered a medium sized ice cream, which overflowed the cone a bit. I got one of their pre-determined combos and added white chocolate chips and M&Ms. The portion was generous and the mixing I felt could have been more thorough. Otherwise, this place was great and even had a small table and chairs for little kids. They also sell ice cream cakes here.

Marble Slab has picked up their game. Not sure if all of the MSC have changed for the better but I noticed this location is MUCH more different than the last time I’ve had their ice cream at a different spot. This location allows you to choose the size of your ice cream(3 sizes), which were all reasonably priced, with an unlimited amount of mix-ins that could fit in your cup or cone! Yayyyyy! You know if I had known that, I would have not gone for my regular — cheesecake with mixed in cherries. Next time, I know! I would have gone mix-ins crazyyyy! Not that I’m not already crazy enough.(^_~)’^ Instead, I opted to just add in fresh strawberries. Ice cream tastes as good as the first time I had it. Still delicious and creamy. They also give you a complimentary waffle cone if you choose to go the cone route. Another plus for me! And to top that all off, the hardworking kid behind the counter was super nice and really quick at helping all of the customers by himself. I’m really liking this new MSC. Will be back soon!

I have only been here once but when I came there was no one else in the store so I had no issues with slow service that others have put in their reviews. The person who helped me was attentive and did a good job making the ice cream. They have a good menu and my kids love the place so I know we’ll be back.

4 stars for ice cream. 1 star to the management for staffing the store with only employee on a hot summer weeknight. Not worth the wait! Won’t return

This is the best ice cream place in little elm and Frisco. My little boy loves coming here and the staff is always goes out of their way to be helpful. The new owners have gone out of their way to increase service and are always adding new flavors… sometimes there is a line, which is ok that’s to be expected especially with kids. Don’t pay attention to the tip complaining about kids at an ice cream store, that’s just silly. I think some people, including elite reviewers, have unrealistic expectations that ice cream shops should have a staff of 10 people. They have a great loyalty program where you get $ 5 off after 50 in purchases. Lots of options and they have chocolate malts!

Okay ice cream but always under staffed and extremely slow. Recommend going to other ice cream place down the street.

I am NOT a fan of the new management! My husband brought me home chocolate ice cream the other day and the first thing I tasted was coffee flavoring! He went back to the store and they admitted that the new owners add COFFEE(or flavoring) TOALLCHOCOLATEICECREAMS! What??? If I wanted coffee ice cream, I would order it. I hate coffee flavoring and I wanted chocolate. Who knows what other things they are changing, but they have lost a customer. This is deceptive. My old review: I love this place! The unlimited mix in deal is great since it can get costly. I love how creamy the ice cream is and if you freeze it at home it stays creamy. I love that I can make my own personal flavor each time. There is a super nice lady that usually helps us. Some of the younger girls didn’t seem like they wanted to work.

I stopped coming here years ago because the place was always dirty and the owners were downright unsanitary. Well, we heard that there was a change in ownership and decided to give this location another try. So glad we did! The new owners are doing a fabulous job keeping the place clean, and hiring employees that are competent and pleasant. Favorite ice cream in Frisco, hands down.
