I’m 67 and have had scoliosis since I was 14. I have never had surgery or bracing and my curve is now 68 degrees and caused me considerable pain, including visits to the ER. Last week, I attended a ScoliPain camp at Dr. Stitzel’s office and was treated with compassionate care and respect by everyone. No promises were made to change my curve, only encouragement and hope for pain relief and stopping the postural collapse on my right side.
Everyone at the clinic is positive, friendly and patient, and Dr. Stitzel’s energy is amazing. His open office door makes him accessible to the entire place and he always took time to answer my numerous questions.
The treatment is intense but relatively painless. The rehab I do at home is not time consuming, and overall, I just feel better and stronger. I’d recommend this clinic to anyone with scoliosis, even older adults like me.

Our daughter went to see Dr. Stitzel in February of 2013. When we arrived her curvature was at 33 degrees. After the first week, it was down to 19 and at the end of the two week bootcamp, it was down to 9 degrees. Then in August of 2013, she return to see if she could get more results. When we arrived she was still at 9 degrees and when she finished bootcamp, her curvature was at 5 degrees.
Our daughter didn’t complain about any of the treatments. All of the treatments didn’t seem to be bothersome for the patients there. Our daughter stil does a home rehab everyday. This is a pretty simple rehab and again not painful. Our daughter is usually on her phone texting her friends or watching a tv show while doing her rehab.
I can’t say enough about Dr. Stitzel and the staff at Lancaster Spinal Health Care. They are truly the best. Their passion for helping patients with Scoliosis is first class. Having our daughter attend the bootcamp was one of the best dicisions that we have every made. This year she was able to play soccer and run track. A year ago, I wouldnt have thought that would be a possiblity for her. Again, we are so thankful that our daughter was able to go see Dr. Stitzel last year!!!

Before we heard about Dr. Stitzel, we ended up wasting a bunch of money trying other methods to correct my oldest’s scoliosis, including the useless, ridiculous soft brace. Dr. Stitzel is a godsend, and with his two week boot camp, reduced my son’s curves.
Dr. Stitzel and his staff are very caring, and from day one, we felt like family. In fact, I was passing through town long after the treatment and got a huge welcome from the doc and staff. Even better is that even though there are other patients being worked with, you feel like the only one there. I don’t know how he does it, but Dr. Stitzel’s endless energy and passion for what he does amazes and impresses us.
With Dr. Stitzel, surgery is not an option, and he does everything he can to stand up to that slogan. I strongly recommend Dr. Stitzel for all stages of scoliosis care.
